I know that lately I have worked on a few other peoples vehicles but to be honest it pays and gives me the ability to make you guys another video. Today we tackle a lowering kit on my neighbors 2012 GMC Yukon Denali. I know that I have done a few SUV drops in the past but this one is a little easier as you don't have to do the free travel mod. He also wanted to get this finished while they were on vacation as a surprise. This install is very simple and instead of making another how to I decided I would do a time lapse to show the process. This lowering kit will also work on Chevy Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade. I keep doing these projects to save up money for more Trans Am Parts lol. Hit that comment section and let me know what you think of this style of video and the Denalis new look.....

Looks really good, I've always liked this body style Tahoe.
Thank you. They always look better dropped.
I did this on my 13 Tahoe and love it. I used 2" spindles and 2" lowering strut in the front so now it rubs a little since it sits on 22s. I might just use the OEM spindles and keep the 2" lowering strut. Thanks for the content!!
Sounds nice.
It looks like a show truck and also the explanation you gave us is high quality step by step video. Thank you very much.
Thank you

Great video! I've been having a tough time deciding which way to go with a suspension drop. I'm going to use this kit for my '14 Escalade ESV after watching your video. Thanks!
Thank you. Glad I could help
Looks really good, I'm going to do my Yukon the same way, probably going to take me two days to do it but worth it, thanks for the video.
Thank you. It's not bad. Just take your time.
I like it! That's just about the right amount of drop for me, but I'm not into the crazy lowered look. Thanks for another great video how to!

Hey Travis, I can't stop watching this video, Once again you've inspired me to take on a project. I didn't lower my truck but I did change my front struts from OEM to Monroe Roadmatic complete strut and it's was way easier that I thought it would be. Just wanted to say thanks again man. This is after the fact but what's your opinion of Monroe and what would you recommend as a quality rear shock replacement for the trucks other than Monroe ??? Stay blessed
Thank you. I have no real experience with monroe. Most of what I use is mcgaughys, belltech and viking
Looks awesome. I have a set of adjustable struts and auto ride bypass. I’m not gonna put it on. I have the same exact truck.
Thank you. I will let him know.
Looking for some
Looks good.

Hey Travis, I think it amazing that you reply to everyone's comments. It speaks volumes about your personality. Anyway I have yet another question for you; I want to install LED lights under my running boards on my 20011 Yukon SLE and have them operat like entry courtesy lights but I'm having trouble finding which BCM connector wire to tap into. Never thought about but I have a 2011 Yukon Denali with 24 would look amazing lower my truck’ thanks for the idea’ I would start looking for the parts
It would for sure.
How would you describe the ride on 24's
Hey Travis I have 2010 Tahoe Ltz with air ride I wanna lower it but where do you find the adjustment sticks for the air ride
They generally come with kit used here or you can get 1/4" all thread at hardware store and make your own.
ماشاء الله اتمنى اسوي سيارتي دينالي ٢٠٠٧ XL نفس كذا 😘 من المملكة العربية السعودية 🇸🇦
The Yukon Denali looks good when it’s lowered

After a long research about 2/3 drop:
Beltech 753 kit rear springs are way too soft for long wheel base gmt900. Mcgaughy kit is firm but comfortable
PPV/Avalanche springs super stiff - Good for towing or racing.
I generally use belltech tbss drop springs. I like a softer ride though
@@TWAMotorsports after installing drop spring from bt rear feels like its living its own life so i assumed tbss made for lighter vehicle will be even worse and went with ppv springs instead because im towing
I drive my tbss springs everywhere. I also tow a vehicle. Never had issues. Most don't do all that is needed in the rear. Djm kit is required for relocation of components
Good video I have the same Yukon
Thank you. Time to lower
bro it looks a bad ass I am doing the same thing to my Yukon ., Thank you
Glad you likes it.
Good job I like
Thank you
I need this for my 07 Escalade
I agree it would look good on an Escalade
Hi, i did exactly what you explained with 3 inches at the back and 2 inches at the front Everything adjusted But I got ( service suspension system)
The pump starts pressurizing frequently with a very short time not like before installing the kit
And it looks like there is air leaking sound
what should I do or fix it
thanks for the vid. and the part # will deff. come in handy when i go to lower my Tahoe. so is it not necessary to cut the rear bump stops if your only doin the 3"?
I dont cut them off if only going 3" in the rear.
I guess you answered my first question at the end of the video lol
looks great and wish you would do my Yukon lol
Thank you. Wish I had time to
Looks great.. quick question i want to do this to my 07 tahoe will everything i need for this drop be included in the kit or will i need extra parts? Thanks
I made a tahoe drop video also all parts are linked separately
Would this work on an 07 2wd Avalanche? To replace the front struts, which you said you might do in the future to keep the forward rake look going, What struts would you recommend. Excellent work this convinced me I could do this
Yes. I would use belltech struts
Awesome video. Quick question though, did you have to change the front autoride height rods like you did the rear, and what measurement did you go by on the rear ones? Also did the rear ride height rods come with the belltech kit? Thank you
No on front as drop is in the spindle. It did come with rear rods.
I just ordered Belltech 751 for our 2011 Denali w/ Autoride. It comes with front springs instead of spindles. I called Belltech customer support and they insist that I won't need threaded rods for the front AutoRide sensors, but that doesn't make sense because lower springs will change the upper control arm relative to the sensor. Does that sound right to you? I suppose I could make my own.
Watching your video made me wish I had gone for the spindles for only $100 more. Great videos and extremely helpful. I appreciate what you're doing!
Yeah I'm not a fan of the spring drop
Hey bud, loved the channel. Iam doing this same style drop but I don't have the bump stops or cups. I checked beltec but not sure which size stops you used? Any help would be great thanks. Chad B
They come with the kit generally. I generally use universal option with are listed in my suburban drop video
I had a quick question if you wanted to lower the front end couldn't you have mount the lower shock under the lower control arm to get 2 more inches?
I don't like that as an option but you could.

@@JoseDiaz-bi6sm 👍
I got a quick question if the truck is not equipped with autoride do you still need to install the rear shock extenders?
If using the factory shock you need them
I have a 2019 Cadillac Escalade 4WD that I would like to lower. My question is about the tire clearance. I have 22" wheels, and have only 3.3 inches clearance between the top of the tire and the inner wheel liner. Looks like the tires will be right against the linerif lowered 3". Is there something that has to be done to the inner liner?
May have to heat it and push it back some. I made a drop video on my 16 denali which would be a better reference. It's on the same channel
Also what do you need to do to get into the strut and bypass the auto ride?
Bypass are on Amazon
I just ordered the Beltech 1019 kit for my 14 Denali XL. Do I need new rear sway bar links and relocation bracket?
I always use them
I’m lowering 4in in the rear do I need to change the auto ride sensors length or can I leave those as is ? Also with 4in drop keeping my shocks the factory length with shock extensions to I need the travel mod ?
I would do the travel mod and get shock extensions. Rod needs shortened
I have 11 Yukon Denali not AWD pulled the fuse for the auto ride in the back, keep from lifting, if I get that 2-3 drop do I have to plug the fuse back in, and adj auto ride
You can or leave it
Looks great. My air suspension on my 2007 Denali took a dump and I was going to replace it with a passive regular suspension from Strutmasters. But then I got the idea to lower it if I’m going to pretty much replace the whole suspension. My question is could I do this and not have to worry about the air suspension?
Yes but will need bypass module to not get dash errors
@@TWAMotorsports yeah I saw that SM had one in their kit that converts the whole thing for 750 but if you only want the module its 400! I also read on some threads that putting a resistor on each corner of the truck works as well to fool the computer. Do you think that’ll work?
Resistors won't override the compressor
@@TWAMotorsports maybe removing the fuse would? Do you any other company that sells that module a bit cheaper?
@@ricardodelaguila3587 no cheaper option that I know of unfortunately
About a year and a half ago I die this lowering on my 2013 Denali. I have 4" in the back an the same in the front. It looks level. The ride has recently gotten really bad. I used the ebay device to eliminate the Air suspension. I kept the stock shocks on the front and changed the rear to Bell Tech. The question is can I put the stock shocks back on and hook up the air on the front and back?
I guess you could
Do you use shock extenders on the BELLTECH shocks?
Yes
Yo does anyone know if someones lowered a lexus gx460, getting one soon and I haven’t seen anyone lower them
I watched your video because I wanted to lower the back of my Denali because of the back just feeling too high constantly. I found from your video where someone had modified the autoride lever to raise the back of the vehicle with the air shocks. I'm going to try to fix this now that I know what was going on then re-evaluate lowering. I am a lowered vehicle fan and on the Denali it just feels like a vehicle that should be lowered being a street oriented AWD truck that comes with low profile tires.
Adjusting that won't get you were you want to be
@@TWAMotorsports currently my rear is 1 inch higher than factory and my front is still factory height. I'm normally a lowered vehicle person, so I may lower it, but I don't want to touch lowering it till I have the suspension operating correctly to have a good starting point. I'm going to come back to this video when I'm ready. Your video with your wife's tahoe was also helpful and I'm probably going back to that one as well.
@jimmyrogers918 thank you and good luck
@@TWAMotorsports To update, I fixed the arm and the Denali drives much better. It no longer feels like the back is going to come over the front. I'm going to drive it like this till I get the itch to lower.
@jimmyrogers918 thats good
I bought an already lowered 2010 Escalade but it’s very bouncy . Any input on what to do to help clear that
No idea. Probably done with the cheapest parts available
Hey hows it going. Quick question. Do the front ride height sensor links have to be adjusted as well? If so to what?
2011 Chevrolet suburban ltz autoride
Thanks
Not with the kit installed here.
Can you use these same style kits or do they offer one that you know of for an 05 denali with the factory rear air suspension with deleting the air ride?
No. Different parts
Is everything you need in the kit you listed or do you need to add the other parts to the kit?
All the parts I used are listed
Where did you get the autoride "end links"?? To retain the autoride but looks like a shorter "stick"?
Comes with the kit I listed in video description
Would you recommend this kit 2/4 or a 3/5 for an AWD 2013 Cadillac Escalade ESV? I do pull a boat in the summertime
I jave pulled with it and helper bags
Where did u buy the shorter auto ride bars for the sensors for the auto ride?
They come with the kit listed in description.
Here is my question to this , is it good to lower these SUVs the way you do living in New York City ? because, I noticed a lot of these videos with the low Tahoe’s are mostly in the south. If I were to do that to my Tahoe will it ruin my suspension and do any other damage to my truck? By the way, I love your videos😎🤟🏾💯
Thank you. Depends on roads I guess. No issues here
I live in nyc have a 3-5 drop on my Tahoe for 10 yrs . I replaced lots of parts in the suspension but I don’t blame the streets more normal wear and tear
Quick question. I just clicked the link for the drop kit and it says it won’t fit my vehicle. But it’s the same one from the video. I have a 2012 Yukon Denali awd and it says it won’t work.
It says that because it is parts for different vehicle. It will work
Is it safe to use the 3" or more drop spindle if I want to go lower in the future or why should I only use that one insted of the 2" ? I really want to buy a kit but would want to hold off on slamming it and don't want to spend dubble the money
Yes. It is fine
Did that kit come with front uca bushings? I got the same kit and mine came with them just wondering if i need to bother with those
No it didn't
I have 08 escalade, how do i bypass the shock sensors?
I did a drop on my 09 black tahoe and there is a link in description for bypass modules
Does bypassing the auto ride affect how the vehicle rides
Not really
do the rods for autoride come with the kit or sold seperate?
Generally they come with it.
I lowered my 04 denali / rides horrible / has front spindels / rear springs belltech all around with belltech shocks.. do I have to cut the front jounce stops?
yes they need trimmed a little.
Will the kit fit 2010 AWD Escalade Luxury with air ride ?
Yes it will
hello cuanto sale a mi sierra 2005 4 door lowering?
Do you have any video about replacing shocks on an already lowered truck (I have a 2003 Denali) - apparently there are issues with the stabilitrak system when monkeying around with the suspension/shocks/struts. Any advice or guidance is much appreciated.
I don't but the methods are the same as here

Ok all did is the 2 inch spindle drop, now it dragging making noise like the tire is skiding and bouncing in the front? The two front tire are facing outward.
I did the alignment myself it's ok now just need to take it in for alignment. Also the bottom spindle ball joint would not go flush on the ball joint even if I put over 100 pounds on it?
Not exactly sure what went wrong without it being in front of me

It's ok now the bottom ball joints boots move down 😃
Could you have used 2" lowering springs in the front?
you can but I like spindle 2" drop better
I meant could you have used the 2” springs with the drop spindles to achieve 4”.
@@tomgraham815 yes
When does the auto ride work? I just bought a 09 Yukon denali and I'm not sure if it airs up or when it does? My navigator aired up when the key was on the on position and lowered when you turn off the key. New to GM btw😅
It moves when it senses weight

Hey Travis, I did the (2-3 with cups in rear) 753 kit on a 2013 but seems like the rear springs have a weird rebound over bumps (same with no bumpstops also). Have you had to mess with bearings removing spindles doing this project? Live in Northeast and think it would be easier getting new
I have replaced them.
I have 08 Yukon Denali with 305/35 24" Seirra replicas. I want a 3/5 but everyone says it can't be done because of the air ride. Totally sucks because I like how it rides but I want it lowered. You definitely know what you are doing. I will admit I absolutely abhor the squat in the rear. 100% hard no. Here in Tennessee everyone lifts and has the front end pointing to the sky and the rear like there isn't any suspension at all. Complete hillbillies and rednecks. I want mine slammed and a slight 5/8" or so rake in the front. So a 3/5 drop is impossible? 100% lose my air ride? Thoughts?. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Love the Vette.
You will have to remove the air to get that low
