1, 3 and 5 ALL DAY. Holy sh*t. Lol. But nah, I love my Yukon XL. It's my Millennium Falcon. It's done Limo work, then retired it to a family vehicle. It's towed Cars, Hitched entire trailers FULL of furniture and stuff and has moved most of my newly bought furniture/washers/fridges back home from a store. I've taken my ENTIRE family with in-laws (8 people) comfortably on a trip from Dallas to Houston. So this thing has made moving things and family much easier and Safer, it's made me lots of money for about 5 years of Limo work and gotten me out of a jam SEVERAL times during Snow when I lived in NYC. It is an ABSOLUTE work horse and it STILL looks and rides CLEAN. Superb ride quality, awesome Stereo system and great family car. Best truck I ever owned imo. This thing is basically the Hulk with a Tuxedo on. Perfect combo of Muscle and Luxury.
Its a 10 year vehicle easily.
    👍👍👍
My only MAJOR complaint is how COMPLICATED it is to change Headlight bulbs WTF. Dick move GMC.

I cut the bottom tabs with the bolts off of the headlights on my xl, just has the two top bolts holding them in. They're still solid and makes changing bulbs a thousand times easier.

Just bought a Denali 10 and had to drain water out my driver headlight. Its not a pop and go like most headlights, ( loosen bolts under wheel well and top of grill) but so much engine compartment room for other work. Atm headlamps were least of my issues to be honest, but all your details give me some comfort I made a good purchase.

I haven't had any of these issues so far on my 09 Yukon. I did have the fuel pump rust out and spray fuel out of the top of the fuel tank. The drivers door hinge wore out, which you can hear the one in this video needs replaced too. And I replaced the cracked dash, which is a very common "problem" on these generation trucks/SUVs too.

Been chasing a too rich problem for four years. Finally found someone to look at the Fuel Trim system with a scanner. My ethanol % was at 65%. When reset, it went down to 3% and has ran like a dream ever since. It would barely pull a hill and acted like a coil pack was going out. I use BG products religiously and no problems other than the five you mentioned and air ride compressors. Also the Stabilitrak would pop on and off weekly. Found out it was the "Brake Pedal Positioning Sensor." It fixed it, just an FYI.

TIP FOR PEOPLE LOOKING TO BUY A YUKON.
    1. the bumper has to be removed to service numerous things. You can always tell if it has been removed by looking at the left and right side of the bumper where it meets the fenders. Typically, there will be paint chipped away where the bumper chipped off the paint on the fender. These spots are usually only coin size.
    2. if denali, the chrome in the inner spokes of the wheels tends to chip often
    3. make sure the middle seats and rear seats move and fold correctly. Mechanisms often fail.
    4. Check the headlight clarity. Maybe this is just in my case and may take and experienced eye to tell. The headlights are often very foggy. I have had a professional attempt a restore yet couldnt. resulting in me needing to buy new headlights.
    5. confirm that the power mirrors work. also the lights for the heated front seats. Typically the heated seat still works but the light doesnt.
    6. check stuff he showed in the video!
Overall its an amazing truck, recently installed 2 inch spacers all around, 2 12 inch subs, and i love it. You will not regret the purchace!

I’ve also got a 14 Yukon XL XLT. I bought it in November of 2014 at a large out of state GMC Dealership, brand new. I cant complain about it but I did have to replace the passenger side front wheel spindle at 51,000 miles. I don’t mind the gasoline because it’s the 329 / 5.3 with the 6 speed automatic transmission. I have oil and filter changed every 5500 miles. I still prefer to use 5w-30 Full Synthetic oil. I believe the mileage is under 70,000. All but one warranty has expired.
I have always had a Tahoe XL or Burb. I don’t mind the fact that I got the last of the Gen 7 Yukon Bodies because it saved me around 12 Grand over the highest popular Yukon XL bodies, the 2015. However, the exterior design is only part of the post 2014 Yukon and Burbs. The interior is highly technical and is a huge change from any prior year design changes. All electronic including built in Bluetooth and actual WiFi for the 7-8 passengers it can accommodate with leather high back seats. Far better ride on long trips than any sedan made today. I enjoyed this and all your videos.

The DoD/AFM delete kit (Non-DoD Cam, Non-DoD Lifters, Valve Springs, etc) is the ONLY way to go if you want to correctly fix & prevent valve train failure.
The whole "disabling AFM" is a misconceived solution that I hear suggested far too often for comfort; These engines are still equipped with the problematic DoD Lifters that are prone to collapsing. Disabling the AFM parameters doesn't fix poorly designed DoD lifters, nor does it prevent failure in any way. The lifters just suck.

You forgot the biggest problem with this model - the arm rest where you grab the door to open and close it -( not the silver unlock handle) has the support plastic parts inside break up causing the handle to feel like it's empty after the plastic pieces fall out and along with all the door trim pieces. This happens mostly on the drivers side - most used. GMC should have used strips of metal for support instead of strips of white plastic.

Ironic.. I went out and test drove an '11 the other day, and it ran as smooth as silk. Bought it, got 10 miles from the dealer, and the oil pressure dropped to 0. Turned around, and they're currently fixing it at the shop (they're footing the bill, thankfully, and delivering it when finished.)

LOL... I just cut 2 fingers on the front pax door handle (chrome delamination) YESTERDAY! Yes, before I watched this video. Quick fix... Utility knife and cut down the delamination - will need to use 400 GRT sandpaper to smooth it all out WX permitting.
BTW, on my wife's Yukon (2011) when she moves her set, the R/H mirror goes up and out MAX each and every time! Could be a number 6 issue to look into.

I have a couple of different issues with my 2007 and wondered if you have any solutions.
#1. I bought it without TPMS sensors on the wheels. Have driven it over a year with no problems just reads 0.0 on the computer tire pressure monitor. Recently I installed a second battery and a battery kill switch but after that the "Service TPMS" indicator showed up on the computer and my key fob completely stopped working. Mechanic tried to run a diagnostic but the system would not even communicate with his diagnostic computer.
I was told to try to just reprogram the key fob but the system won't even let me and it also won't let me attempt to reset the TPMS.
    Any suggestions?
#2 I have a vibration at around 70mph. Was told that it may just be the tire balance. Had them rotated and balanced but still has a vibration.
#3 I too got the check engine code for the evape sensor but we replaced that and we still have that code. And another thing I should mention is, there is a symptom of the evap sensor. When pumping gas, it continually stops pumping and it's a fight to fill the tank.
Can you help with any of these things???
