This song is so special to me. I was always so mesmerized with Mutya, I don’t even know why, there’s something about her so mysterious and dreamy and out of this world. @Kuchi Kobhi I'm not sure - I think the fancy castle party might be a masquarade - them pretending to be something they are not - making them vulnerable/naked once the illusions (butterflies) are gone
@Kuchi Kobhi My interpretation is that what's going on in the castle represents how all of the women's lives revolve around being courted and judged by men and having to put up a "mask" to be pleasing to men. When they run and jump from the balcony, they are escaping the expectations placed on a woman to be subservient to a man. That's also what the lyrics of the song are about, so that makes sense. I think the butterflies are also a metaphor for this image of sweetness, beauty and perfection that women have to put on for the world.
Keisha was so hot while she was walking down the stairs, I particularly love her verse and the "vocal run" at 1:33. Not to mention Mutya's amazing husky voice which added an unique flavor to their songs (I love her vocal run at 0:31) and Heidi's sweet tone. Moreover their harmonies were really good, particularly at 2:29, these girls could really sing. The video is also a work of art, it's a shame how European artists have always been ignored by the MTV Video Music Awards.
Saw the Sugababes at a private corporate party a few years ago. They were top class performers live, one of the best gigs I'd been to and I've seen a few! Would gladly see them again live :)

I feel like the quality lacking with the other members, something was missing. This song haunted me when it was just out, I kept hearing it by pieces and I never actually heard it entirely until a year after it was out and I was in love with it.
