thanks a lot bro. my R9 270x wasn't working for 2 years now. recently posted ad on olx to sell it as not working graphic card. just now tried your method though I used hair dryer for 5 mins at low temperature and then applied thermal paste. it worked. lets hope it stays that way for long. thanks a alot again. cheers
I also had an rx 570...while playing my pc got shut down...I found my gpu was not giving out put...I went to msi service center .they kept it for more than a month after that they told my gpu got blown and they can't do anything....I lost 15000 that time...it was only 1 year old...now I don't feel to invest double amount in gpus...I admire how people are investing lakhs of amount in this electronic devices...in mining...if some short circuit occurs full setup blown...its india voltage always falctuates...

umm if not mistaken when it was in the boot screen some lines were form on the monitor usually is vram problem in which one of the memory module is corrupted ......you can try to diagnose the card with special software MATS and MODS which are used for detecting corrupted memory ,just suggesting hehe :)

6 month pehle mera 1070ti ka 6pin connector ka MOSFETs kharab ho gaya tha, college ki physics lab ki knowledge ke kaarun mujhe pata chal gaya multimeter use krke, phir MOSFETS change krwaaya or abhi tk gpu mast chal raha hai . Bus mai ye kehna chahta hu ki gpu agar kharab ho toh fix krne ki koshish krni chahiye

moisturize with soldering paste then apply heat otherwise everthing dry solder to the pcb board and solution goes to the wrong side....
and smd componend are short, leakage and many other chances to check out it...

You haven't mentioned a budget for your build. You WILL be wasting money if you build a PC now because GPU prices are still very high. The best price to performance Processor in today's market is the Intel 12400F paired with a solid budget motherboard like MSI B660M Pro-A.
In case of Graphic card, the Radeon 6600 and 6600XT are offering relatively better price to performance than what Nvidia RTX 3000 cards are selling for.
