We got to the explanation of how time travel works in this series. It works similarly to how Professor Hulk explained time lines and their interconnectedness, and dbz is why I was better able to swallow time travel in that movie.
How does goku know what 17 and 18 look like? He got taken out of the battle before they arrived, maybe it’s more of those mind reading powers he had randomly on namek after training at 100x gravity
Oolong and Chaozu are at Kame House now? Where were they in the Maron filler? Does Oolong live there now? Ok, so what do you know about time travel? When Trunks travels back in time, it's like he travels to another universe. So no matter what he does in the past, his future time will not be effected. Yes, Back to the Future is a bunch of bullshit. Trunks is asked why he bothered to come back to the past if it would make no difference to his future and he has two reasons; 1. in hopes of bringing Son Goku from the past to his time to help Trunks defeat the Artificial Humans, and 2. because Bulma in the future hoped for at least one future to be peaceful, which is a nice sentiment. There's an insert song I forgot about about "Maindo Pawa ...Ki..." or "Mind Power ...Ki..." which plays over Trunks's flashback, not in the dub of course. As the Artificial Humans make their way to Goku's house they realise they don't actually know where he lives but No. 16 does know. I wonder why Dr Gero only programmed No. 16 with that information. Goku dreams of No. 17 and No. 18 and not only doesn't know what they look like but doesn't even know they exist. Good job. Vegeta standing in the rain has kind of become a meme or at least a gif people seem to post fairly often. When K9 phones Bulma he is first put on hold and the hold music is the opening theme to Dr Slump which I never noticed before. Awesome little easter egg there. Bluma faxes over a picture which is of another time machine, dun, dun dun!!! What a twist. I have to give it to this story arc, it is far from my favourite, but it certainly does a good job at keeping the audience on their toes, not knowing what to expect next, so I certainly have to give it credit for that. If there's another time machine does that mean that there is another time traveller out there somewhere? Trunks confirms this is the exact same machine as his, even noting they both have "Hope!!" written in the same spot which he wrote the day he first travelled back in time. In the anime Trunks says that he wrote it but in the subtitles it was not translated correctly so it says that Bulma wrote it which is the only major mistake I know of in the translation for the subtitles. This was corrected in the fan release Seed of Might. In the English dub they also say that Bulma wrote it so they got it wrong too. They find the weird mutant egg thing that apparently comes from Age 788, 3 years later than the time Trunks left, but it arrived 1 year before Trunks did, 1 year before he killed Freeza. You have to wonder was the egg alone? They find the fresh molt, was that made by the creature that hatched from the egg or was it made by another creature that time travelled with the egg? So many questions, let's see what answers we get. Kami-sama says he has felt uneasieness in his heart the last 4 years which lines up with when the second time machine arrived so maybe it is that creature that came from the molt or maybe the creature that hatched from the egg, or maybe they are the same creature. Kami-sama also says there is a life form on Earth somewhere that posses greater power than the artificial humans. So forboding, I can't wait to see it all unfold.

In the manga it says Trunks wrote it which is right, shows how many people actually read the manga. I notice in the Seed of Might fan release they re-wrote all the subtitiles to be more accurate and this was something they corrected. To be fair the translation for the sub is generally pretty spot on. This is the only major mistake I know of, and then it's not really a massive one.
We get to see more of Trunks' backstory. Nice. I do see that Terminator influence being used for Trunks' future, and it looks cool. I mean it's not cool to see people in the future suffer, but... you know what I mean. There seems to be no way for a permanent change to occur for the future, since it makes another dimension basically. I don't like this at all, and I hate it when this form of time travel is used in movies. It makes it feel like the time travelers who go to the past are wastinf their time, since their time can't change. In the case of Trunks he can at least train with Goku and Vegeta enough to become dtronger than the androids, then he can go back to his time, and destroy them himself. That's actually the only solution I see for Trunks. Either that or get everybody to go to the future with him to fight his androids, but I'm sure they wouldn't since they have to deal with their androids first, and Goku seems like the type of guy who would get Trunks to be stronger to solve his problems himself. Not a lot of action is really happening these past few episodes, and it's only been talking really. I do kinda like that, since everyone needs to come up with a way to beat the androids while the androids are just taking it easy, and killing time. The most interesting part is the fact that there could have been another time traveler who has the same time machine Trunks used. Trunks states that whoever it is came years before he came, so this visitor came around the time that Gohan was a baby, and between OG Dragon Ball, and DBZ. There are clues to who it could be like the shell, and some kind of gigantic cicada larva that hatched... Ok well that's nobody we've ever seen before, so it doesn't really give any answers. I do hope that we see who this time traveler is, because all of this seems strange. We do know that there could be theoretically alternate timelines we don't know about, and maybe this time traveler stole Trunks' time machine when Bulma, Trunks, and Gohan weren't paying attention. By the way the fact that Vegeta is still mad about No. 18 beating him is kinda funny, but sad. He worked so hard to become a Super Saiyan, and was told by his dad about all the amazing things that a Super Saiyan is, but he still lost to a machine. Meanwhile Piccolo is doing nothing, while Kami seems to feel strange about something. Oolong, and Chaozu are just chilling with Muten Roshi I guess. Lastly Goku is having nightmares about being too weak to beat the androids, and seeing his son, wife, and great friend die in front of his eyes. Sucks for Goku, and I hope he gets better soon.
