    This was really cool, I appreciate you taking the time to make the video; little intricacies like this always get lost in the big things. Good to see them documented so I know what I'm getting in to.

    Fantastic video! Thank you for sharing your experience. I sold my cayenne S and order a model X. It should be ready by next week. Your video came in perfect timing. I’ll probably watch it a few time. I hope my standard range would give me enough range to putt around town. (Orange County, San Diego area).
    Love how you display the Star Wars theme tune. Cheers.

    Here's a useful feature I discovered for the top screen icons: Press and hold down on the icon and a mini rectangle appears below the icon. You can then drag the icon to the top or the bottom of the mini rectangle to launch the app at the top or bottom of the screen respectively.

    Hello Brandon, did you buy your Model S from Tesla? I was thinking of getting a used one. Did Tesla fix the cosmetic damages? Did they make the used cars look and feel like new? Thanks.

    • @Teslavangelist
      @Teslavangelist  Před 6 lety

      I did, it was a service loaner vehicle. they're called 'inventory vehicles.' they did fixed up and made it like new including getting rid of a few rim scrapes. Tesla puts a lot of work into their used ones as well. if you get an INVENTORY vehicle you can still get the fed tax credit and use a referral code for free unlimited Supercharging (mine's available :). used you don't get fed tax credit or free unlimited supercharging.

      +Canadian Tesla Martin I don't have the update so I can't test it, but the description in the app sounds like all those heaters will go on when you precondition the car now instead of just air heater. perhlaps individual heaters are not in the app still, as you say

  • @martinsutoob
    @martinsutoob Před 6 lety

    You say once the battery warms up the energy becomes available. But how much energy is used warming up the battery? Surely it comes almost totally from itself and therefore technically it cannot all become available? Interesting.

    • @Teslavangelist
      @Teslavangelist  Před 6 lety

      you got me with the legal mumbo-jumbo!!! I'm not sure what the ratio is between the amount of energy unavailable and the energy needed to warm up the battery. but, I do know that even just driving the vehicle warms the battery as a by product of releasing energy.

    • @martinsutoob
      @martinsutoob Před 6 lety

      True. It's just that the only energy available derives from the battery. If the battery is to warm up then it must do that by using its own energy since there is no other source. Ergo, ultimately not all of the unavailable energy will be available for locomotion. It's maybe a nit-picky point, but there you go.
      I would be interested to hear what Tesla think about it. They're probably happy if their customers go around thinking it will all become available. Enjoyed the video by the way.
