I’m currently working as a Knowledge Analyst at McKinsey & Co.
I don’t have an master’s degree, but I got into McK directly from undergrad. I’m completing 1.5 years at the firm and do you think is it wise decision for me to move to top B-schools and pursue MBA or should I continue at McKinsey without post graduate..
FYI : Mckinsey doesn’t ask me for post graduation..

I am an Army officer, I am preparing for GMAT and planning to appear in Oct 2023 (hoping to get into ISB), Only problem is that I can not leave before Dec 2026 (after 20 yrs in service).
I know that the GMAT score is valid for 5 years but would it really be given due consideration in 2026 (i.e. After 3.5 yrs) ?

Hello Soumi, Thanks for the valuable information. I'm a pharma post graduate with 11yr industry experience now looking for GMAT and PGP of ISB. Currently I have CTC of 20LPA. I need to take risk to join full time PGP. If we do distance then there is no guarantee placements. Again in regular placements the average CTC I heard is ~34LPA. I'm in bit dilemma to take decision. Will that worth joining full time PGP? Roughly how much % willbe fix salary in 34LPA? Can you please some insights which can help to in decision making.

Isb fee is 42 lakhs + GST (approx 50 lakhs). Is isb worth paying 50 Lakhs for 35 LPA average CTC?

@@InsiderGyaan so what i am getting from you if you want a quick growth in your job profile then mba does matter to anybody otherwise even if someone is comfortable to grow gradually it's okay, for example - if an equity analyst is working which is a good job profile , in the longer term he does not require mba if he works for long in this domain. Is n't? he or she will definitely grow gradually, like best example if your husband. Who works as an equity analyst prior to mba, he could have continue like that but he needs a quick career progression that's why he chose mba.

My current CTC is 15 lpa and I am finding it difficult to climb the step of leadership ladder.
I feel doing MBA from ISB can play a crucial role in my career journey.

Yes MBA can definitely help in career progression. Selection depends on your overall profile not just past acads :)

Really depends on entire profile. But 720 is decent, given rest of the profile is ok

Hey Soumi, I have done my Btech from NIT Durgapur, my undergrad GPA is quite poor, acads are 10th/12th/UG:- 9.6(CGPA)/90.80/7.16(CGPA), I also have a gap on my resume right after college. As of now I have around 15 months of experience, I wanted to know if I have decent chance to get into ISB.
Gap doesnt matter usually. Gpa can be mitigated with a very high gmat score. Rest depends on other parts of ur profile

Being myself, I never called disabled but differently abled. Don't think I am demotivate, the reason is many colleges do not provide better facilities or benefits for our study material. I wish many people should have research. Because to know the awareness or to find out the solution.
Just trust Me few hours back, 1 junior (Hrishikesh,the boy) called me Deaf with verbal abusive language ... Now can you imagine is this just to deal friendly with us ? And yes you may heard some college offer Differently abled to get admission and many people had started thinking it is known as reservation just like ST,SC, OBC. It not, it known as special seat.
Can a human eat lion or tiger (just to proof their power/revenge) answer is NO, we cannot.
So this is how we face difficulty/ less convenience during the classes.
And so please don't be disheartened. 🙏🙏
