Hey IIM Guy, can you please tell me is ISB good for startup founders, will this degree add some values in making startup successful (not in terms of ISB tag but in practical manner)? If yes, then when we should for for GMAT, I mean before starting business or after (how many years) business ?
I am going to ISB next year. This is an extremely short-sighted and quantitative view to look at the entire ISB MBA experience. Also, you just missed covering the opportunity cost, 1 year vs 2 year so it is just misleading. Just a personal thought.

@@tukaidas1272 the point is to stop cribbing about the loan and get a better qualification if you want to survive in india with a good package. Many undergrad institutes of engineering charge a lot in fees and do not give you packages equal to your fees or more, considering engineers still go for higher ed, i would say its justified to go to a premium institution like this and make good connections, as these are the people in the long run in higher positions, it also depends on how you perform so i feel its too subjective and not an underline ki fees jyada.

In short, just have a passion and pursue it passionately and you will succeed. All these MBA etc. degrees are generally not worth the money or time. Only real gain is the network you develop but you can do that differently but will take a little longer - From an IIT/IIM alumnus and an entrepreneur.
Irony is that mba is a course which teaches us about business and how to be a good businessman but most of the people want to do job after mba aur kare bhi kiyo naa itni fees hogai job hi karni hogi chukana ke liya. Actually this video is quite reflective of reality and that ISB may not be a good fit for everyone. I am an ISB grad myself and I can identify with a lot of the messages by IIMguy. At my time 15 years back, around 10% of the batch were returned NRI, 10% CAs, 10 medical doctors. Yes, it was quite hard for people to change their stream. Almost everyone stayed in their same pre MBA field but they all got a significant leap into the management track of MNCs. please also note that ISB has a great track record of giving need and merit based scholarships.

Boss reservation is used by mostly by privileged. Like if you see ST category list of any way government exam it's dominated mostly by Meenas which are very well privileged

Just do your research first, only handful peoples get placed into consulting at FMS while ISB is considered to be the consulting hub. MBB hires around 8-10% of the batch at FMS while at ISB this number is 30%+.

It is almost 850.I went through their placement report and approx 37% students got placed in consulting, not in MBB. I am assuming 100 people(on the higher side) would have been placed in MBB. At FMS also, aroung 30 percent of the batch get offers from consulting firms with around 10 percent students getting placed in MBB. The batch size is just around 300.FMS is able to place the freshers at around 35 lakhs average package whereas ISB is placing 4-5 years workex people at the same package at 20 times high fees. That's why I said ISB is nothing in front of FMS. And why are you assuming that people do MBA only for MBB? There are a lot of other prestigious roles in marketing, general management, product management, finance etc. Not everyone want to work 12 hours a day and live life out of a suitcase. I know 20-30 people who left IIM ABC for FMS and 40-50 people who left IIM L for FMS. I don't consider ISB to be in the same league as FMS. Period.
I left three of the schools you mentioned for ISB. I don’t know what qualifies as a pioneer for you, but if we talk about research in the field of business and policy making, ISB is far ahead of almost all the business schools in the country.

Every point in video is completely useless. Considering it’s a 1 year MBA, the ROI is similar to IIMs. Secondly, you are saying that ISB requires diverse profile & has competition from students of srcc etc., this is not a warning but a plus point for ISB Aspirants. And anyone who is not selected by ISB because of this reason Is anyways not required to “waste 40 lakhs”
Logical video, actually ISB is overhyped. For ~55 lacs INR ( Fees + Hostel + Miscellaneous cost) they provide you just a certificate. The placement reports are not audited this median of 80% students is also a scam.

As much i like some of your videos, the videos you put up sometimes such as cat may time waste nhi karna chahiye, isb nhi jana chahiye are totally misleading, ik you guys want views bt long run may aise videos will lead to a downtrend. Sir, could you clear my two doubts, first does nibm and pumba accept candidate coming from obc-ncl all India category or candidate with Maharashtra domicile itself? Another as fms has it's own eligibility criteria for admission and cat too got it's own then why does cat eligibility criteria does not match with that of fms as cat has not included obc-ncl as reserved category but fms has had and it becomes hard to digest that fms still conducts cat as the only entrance exam for enrollment.

Useless video,crap...ISB is one the best B School,the world class campus with best facilities, Faculty, R&D and placements. Everything comes at cost, if you listen to his useless warnings no body can ever dream. 40 lacs is nothing , it's a 1 year salary and getting into ISB is not easy well, fees is secondary part.

ISB's MBA is 1 year. So the actual cost is 40 lakhs - 1st year salary - 1 year interest/opportunity cost < = other Bschools

It is almost 850.I went through their placement report and approx 37% students got placed in consulting, not in MBB. I am assuming 100 people(on the higher side) would have been placed in MBB. At FMS also, aroung 30 percent of the batch get offers from consulting firms with around 10 percent students getting placed in MBB. The batch size is just around 300.FMS is able to place the freshers at around 35 lakhs average package whereas ISB is placing 4-5 years workex people at the same package at 20 times high fees. That's why I said ISB is nothing in front of FMS. And why are you assuming that people do MBA only for MBB? There are a lot of other prestigious roles in marketing, general management, product management, finance etc. Not everyone want to work 12 hours a day and live life out of a suitcase.
I know 20-30 people who left IIM ABC for FMS and 40-50 people who left IIM L for FMS.
I don't consider ISB to be in the same league as FMS. Period.
I left three of the schools you mentioned for ISB. I don’t know what qualifies as a pioneer for you, but if we talk about research in the field of business and policy making, ISB is far ahead of almost all the business schools in the country.

If you cant give people employment, better not demoralise or potray wrong image of such prestigious institutions, they are big for a reason. Jis clg k liye loan easily mil jata hai usmay srf isliye na jaye kyuki unki fees jyada hai, okay jus think about people who aren’t getting jobs in this season or are slapped by the lay offs, getting a job above 10-15lakh per annum in the initial years after graduation in commerce is still a dream to 95% out there. And paying 40 lakhs bt getting a good qualification to survive in this industry is so subjective. Before you pass any such comment please think about what it does to the youth.

Sir, could you clear my two doubts, first does nibm and pumba accept candidate coming from obc-ncl all India category or candidate with Maharashtra domicile itself? Another as fms has it's own eligibility criteria for admission and cat too got it's own then why does cat eligibility criteria does not match with that of fms as cat has not included obc-ncl as reserved category but fms has had and it becomes hard to digest that fms still conducts cat as the only entrance exam for enrollment.
