I used to live in Oregon and would go back in the mountains behind White's Electronics, in Sweet Home. I was almost addicted to panning. Those dang Massey brothers (gold fever) got me hooked. They're good people, though. Those pickers you panned sure look good.

This is my 1st real panning trip. I plan on going back this summer.

That would be a perfect creek to hoist the bigger rocks out of the way to get underneath them

Great video, thanks for sharing. Would have been nice to have an Equinox 800 in gold mode around those parts to see if any nuggets were there!

Ahhh, sites of the first gold discovery by Europeans on our continent, second discovery actually led to the first gold rush and where the US got its gold for coins. Still being mined, not as much as Sutter's mill but a much higher grade, 21-23 caret.

Unfortunately the old owner sold it. I've contacted the new owners, they said its no longer a rental property. The new owners live there full time.

OMGoodness that water is so cold, even when it's 110 degrees it's too cold to get in! yeah if your going to get in may as well move those big rocks you know that gold washes under them and get's stuck! Gold will settle in rocks that have cracks in them too.
