People like revenant more, but Octavia is probably better. Just Helminth resonator (or use Conductor) so it does not get one killed.
the only thing good about revenant is mesmer skin and thats literally it while octavia has perma invis and infinite scaling damage across an entire tile soooo
@@budzee313 Viral + entrall + reave? Plus octavia takes a long ass time to build up dmg and in random team comp it'll be impossible for mallet to build up dmg.
On the wololo build, I’m fairly sure that if you switched the location of Fleeting Expertise and Auger Reach you’d end up with 2 extra capacity left
Shhh some people doesn't know that the extra capacity as bonus for starting energy, keep it a secret it's funny you know watching warframe youtuber with thousands of hours talking about stuffs but missing/doesn't know the basic n most common mechanic of the game

would’ve been nice if you explained the awesome synergies between his abilities as well. like how enthralled enemies that get hit by reave take a lot more damage and each restore 1 mesmer charge.

I was actually thinking about wether to add these synergy infos in the skills chapter but then I decided against it because I felt that there are so many Revenant videos out there that cover this and I rather wanted to keep the skills slim to spend more time with the builds and playstyle ;)
yea my understanding is that synergy is actually how most people are playing Rev in SP, not this primary wep build.
Fun fact, did some testing with revenant before the archon update, while mesmer skin of course doesn't block combat discipline's health damage, it does stop it from killing you, keeping you at 2 hp. Then you can heal yourself with reave. And those levels, it doesn't really matter if you have max health, or next to no health, if they are damaging your red, you are dead(heh, that rhymed). So that is 1 less shard you have to have for this build, just FYI. Enjoy.

But interesting to know. In most cases it'll make the healing shard obsolete. I'm wondering how likely it'd be that you dish out some heat dots and one of them kills an enemy while you recast Mesmer Skin @ 2HP xD

If mesmer makes u unkillable then I don't understand how I get killed in SP while having mesmer charges left.. also I often see that reave doesn't heal me at all even tho I pass at least 2+ enemies...
Also are u immune to knockback etc with mesmer? And what about dots? Are those applied in spite of mesmer? Coz high lvl enemies apply high lvl dots I assume so I would be forced to constantly reave to outheal those until the last tick..yes?no?

Yeah if you want to minmax him completely that's quite some time investment. But with Rev Prime you have one of the greatest Frames for early-, mind- and late-game :D
Awesome synergies of mods, abilities and weapon choices. Haven't used my Revenant for a while. Guess it's time to dust em up and try out your build.

Hi mate, moding for duration in leveling build of revenant will be better for energy efficiency, efficiency only deals with initial casting cost and a little bit of drain. Duration really brings down the drain per second of energy for 4th ability.

Yeah the Pox thing was really weird. Epitaph and Staticor don't get 10 Viral Procs fast enough, beam weapons can't hit everyone in the blob and the Compressa throws them meters away in every direction. Glad Pox works :D
@@MHBlacky_ENG Always though nukor was best for viral procs, I always slot that when I need fast viral stacks for heavy attack melee builds, if pox is better(still havent tested it myself) might switch to that.
On that same note, if you have a high enough duration that reave takes a little too long and moves you a little too far, you can just recast it during the animation to cancel it early. So intentionally modding for lower duration is just entirely unnecessary. Especially when reave can also be used as a pretty decent movement tool with that higher duration.
You already got some comments about this but channeled abilities that drain energy over time can be decreased in energy cost with both efficiency and duration. Dumping duration actually can make it so it drains MORE energy than before.
Archon Intensify is another strong candidate for Revenant if you're running Combat Discipline as it gives us 60% ability strength total when we cast reave and get health back.

Thank you. This guide helped a lot for Elite Archimedea. Just reached my 6th week with a perfect score. I hardly ever used Revenant. It's a lot better than I thought it was.
I think including Operator abilities would have been nice. Vazarin has an Airburst on the 2, and Unairu the Armor strip on 2. Magus Anomaly can also help with grouping enemies along with Zaw Arcane Exodia Hunt.
I personally would replace the Umbral for Archon. Reave will trigger the heal condition, so while using Combat discipline you can easily get a kill, reave, recast mesmer for higher stacks.
Other than that, pretty great advice for ppl. Would recommend!

Revenant might match or even dethrone Octavia in terms of dmg due to how Octavia inflicts her dmg. However, in regards to sheer survival, Octavia cannot be be beat. Minus Eximus, she can cc every enemy and become invisible indefinitely. In terms of dmg, it really depends on your mods, subsumes, if the warframe has a invigoration and now, shards. I still give it to Octavia
Yeah even after all my minmaxing I also think that Octi still has the edge. But the fact that we even have this conversation now proves that Rev Prime is one hek of a frame and I like that :D

Trying the Amber Archon Shard as a substitute for Natural Talent (+25% cast speed), that might open up a slot for some extra utility.
Might be something to look at on the off-chance a Tauforged shard comes in your possession

First off, I got tricked into thinking rev prime is out and second, Octavia is my go to Warframe in high level sp content and I'm still watching the video, I need this information lol
Gyre ability with the new stretch can be a nice option too i think ^^
Sadly, I've not gotten any tauforged amber shards, as 2 of those would equal the 3 normal ones I'm using for a total +90% max energy filled on spawn, and another that I could use for another +50% energy orb effectiveness. Revenant's main drawbacks are that A: As a tank, he's slower than many other frames (thus needing reave to keep up with squads in many missions), and that B: His skills tend to eat a ton of energy (Not all of us have the apex level mods for energy efficiency). So, yeah. I've got 3 amber shards set each for +30% max energy fill on spawn (this also subverts SO/ESO host migrations knocking that down to 50 on zone changes), and 2 more set for +50% energy orb effectiveness. While the +50%s stack, it's not 50 + 50 +50, but rather a percentage of the total each time, rounded down (25 energy orb +50% = 37 energy orb, then +50% of that = 55 energy orb, and so on). This doesn't quite equal infinite energy reserves, but does significantly reduce the reliance on energy restorers, and make him a more viable option for missions where others might be using faster but far less immortal frames. Someone's gotta be the one reviving those unlucky squadmates who got reminded what a glass cannon their frames were. Also, thanks for suggestions on what mods to look out for, for those of us who haven't been in the game as long, so really don't have probably half of what you're using. Oh, and his 4th ability is simply pronounced "dance muh-kob" (I learned this back in 1997, having done a book report on Stephen King's nonfiction book of the same name). The fancy spelling is some form of euopean languge. Maybe french? I don't remember exactly. But it's supposed to mean "the dance of death".

I'm gonna say Octavia. As you can largely do other things, such as go to the bathroom, eat while not having to pause the game ever, still while the enemies nuke themselves. Its also insanely boring when you are active, but 7 hours is no joke and with octavia you can do that in 7 real hours compared to the many breaks you would have to do (unless you're a machine) with revenant.

Don't worry too much about the Arcanes though ;) Arcane Energize for example can be somewhat replaced by multiple yellow Archon Shards to also get more energy pickups ;)

I don't know man to me revenant has always been the monster of all Warframes his first and second abilities are just so OP the first one just enthralling enemies and making them weaker and the second one making you invulnerable to attacks for a certain number of attacks while also stunning the enemy and leaving them open to the first ability no energy required this bastard just absolutely crushes high levels and I mean this even for the regular revenant in fact I feel like they shouldn't have even made a prime but boy did they do his fashion frame justice also might be worth mentioning that his final ability as a ridiculously long range with a stretch mod

Not sure why you put so much range on the 1st one (spin to win) build, but range is basically a dump stat on revenant & it doesn't affect his disco lazers at all besides making them slightly thicker (you can confirm that on the wiki). Basically it's pointless if you're just using his 4, in general all range does for rev is let you cast enthrall from slightly further away & make the reave cloud bigger (blinding reave does the same thing though). Natural talent or more efficiency would have at least provided some benefit.

Ok for the wolo build why not use archon intensify because if you are damaging yourself then it means you are healing yourself getting more ability strength.

just another thing about the level build -- i am pretty sure (i could be wrong) that range does NOTHING for revenant ultimate, and that the lasers are only affected by the angle at which they fire, i.e., are you holding down attack or not. thus, building for str & eff would be better

Prefer Mesa over Revenant. One downside mesa has is close quarters of which spinnyboy loves
another one is not having mesmer skin lmao. a third is lack of real cc. a fourth would be shes stationary without taking up a mod slot... why were we even comparing these two again it doesnt make sense
Why high range on 1st build. I thought Dance Macabre is unaffected by range so you can dump that stat.

I would swapped natural talent for streamline for efficiency because recent update for mesmer skin granted 1 second invincible upon damage. Just my opinion though, that's how I've been playing. :)
Does that Invincibility work too for when you try to use it to recast the Mesmer Skin?
@@andreasdimopoulos5826 It work for.. every time I recast I don’t seem to get any damage and it will grey out my shield and health bar. I’m not sure about other people though 😅 I felt this update purpose is to counter with the slow casting speed. But still I will slap that archon shard in because the cast speed is too dang slow 😂

honestly my plan is to get octavia prime as my last warframe (if i'm even gonna play for that long) just because of the fact that i find continuously pressing control a chore and the gameplay on her is just garbage imo. revenant is the opposite though, you actually have to press buttons and the playstyle is amazing

I'm sorry but I've got to dislike the video, in the intro you've said that prime variant has something standard doesn't, which enables different builds on him. Yet in the later part of the video you say it basically makes no difference. Another is statement that Octavia could be worse at level cap than him, which makes me believe you've never done it, because you would know about exponential enemy scaling damage that lets her 1hit basically any enemy in level cap and that's constant in AoE where revenant needs a ton of strength and a primer, you could run modless, weaponless Octavia and achieve better results in level cap. If it was a video about revenant I wouldn't mind it, but you made it seem like you need the prime and I hate clickbait.
Welcome to clickbait for views, 20 mins just to say that rev and rev prime are the same and saying some stupid things about octavia.. yea i feel you..
The only good thing about a prime is the skin, for the Fashion but the rest doesn't change much since they will never touch the duration or else. You can run with the normal version of Rev and you will have the same result at the end, don't need a video to know that..
And doing a Rev VS Octavia... what a joke... Surely the warframe that can afk without any weapons for an entier day without doing anything but spamming her skills every minute is weaker than one warframe that need to use weapons...

the way you put it, I understand what you mean. What I meant to say was due to the higher energy pool and also with the Shards you get the prime up to 300 energy which makes the last build easily playable.I personally felt that with the normal one it wasn't as convenient and consistent.
But since only the energy is different, the builds are still 'showcasable' on the normal. However from the way you put it I see how it can come across and I'm sorry if it made you feel clickbaited. That was not my intention ^^
Revenant doesn't need strength for reave just viral procs and that's it plus unlike Octavia Rev can take hits

Why not just use 1 then ensnare proc viral then one shot with reave ?
For the steel path build I'd remove natural talent, blind rage and arcane avenger and replace the two mods with the other sacrificial mods and arcane avenger with molt augmented, this way you get the same amount of strength with much better energy economy at the cost of some casting speed

When you don't have Arcane Energize, this is definitely the way to go here, I agree! But personally I just love myself the crits from Arcane Avenger. If I were to replace Natural Talent then maybe also for Thrall Pact for even more damage ;)

I just worked the shit out of the market, easily paid off R5 energize, grace, guardian, fury, and others.

Mag is the best.
That reave build is useless against corpus nullifiers. The only frames good against them are the ones that damage the projecting drones from a distance without getting inside the bubbles. Revenant doesn't do that.
