About Warframe being not a race: I would argue it is not a sprint but a marathon. Many players just stop playing altogether because they "just wanted to take a break". Try do small things like get your daily bonus, open a relic or play a Steel Path Incursion.
More than entirely burning out, I saw accounts die because of a "small break". So keep at it, but keep at it a slow pace.

I play Genshin Impact aswell and the fact that this game limits how much you physically CAN do per day always leaves me wanting more ^^
This is good advice but from the other end of that it’s a difficult thing to have friends who are 10 + Mr ranks ahead of you and not feel a little discouraged.

I started playing warframe since 2013, we had no lore, no quests, no pets, no Sentinels, no open world locations, almost no bosses, warframe abilities was mods, for mods upgrade there were fusion cores, and most importantly - void was a place to farm prime parts. I'm still miss towers 🥺
one of the things that peeves me the most are bundles that don't reduce their platinum price if you already have one of the items.

Let me just point this out, your mistake is letting me pilot your railjack.
Most players that find me piloting their railjack will get the Mandela Effect thinking they've seen certain areas but something seems VERY WRONG. Your sense of direction will immediately get turned on it's head when you realize I fly all those missions UPSIDE-DOWN, as direction in space is relative, and enemies are forced to fly in certain ways to attack and escape an upside-down railjack.

That's the correct way of playing the game. Actually the game was programmed in the upside-down. I only walk sideways to become a crab in real life atm.

You can start doing relics pretty early which lets you get items that you can sell to other players for platinum, so it’s not as big a deal as the guy says.
If that is how you roll, that is how you roll, there are other ways to gain plat although it requires work.
It's a fashion item. Therefore you went straight in to endgame than. 😂

About platinum usage, and I am saying this knowing it is the unpopular opinion: I have tried getting into Warframe more than a few times and every time I gave up because I could not find that "immersion" feeling into the starter frames, nor did found the motivation to grind one which I liked, which would have been the Nekros in my case. Long story short, I eventually bought one from the start (with a small purchase of platinum on discount) and guess what, I have more than 600 hours now in the game. I guess it is about a personal choice, but I do believe you can spend platinum in the beginning into whatever you desire, as long as it gets you that motivation to immerse yourself into the game.
Other than that, a great video that will help newbies avoiding certain mistakes which are tempting to do indeed :)
Yeah, but you should only do that if you have discount on plat, because Warframes from shop are really expensive.
But it's just as you say - some Warframes are pain in the ass to get (for me it would be Hildryn and Dagath), so I can see why someone would rather buy them instead of farming for them.
something to consider, the broken war you get from the quest already has a catalyst installed, so dont use it as part of the actual completed war sword blueprint, youre better off farming a new broken war from shadow stalker.
youre telling me i should farm the shadow stalker - one of the most annoying enemies to farm - to avoid 'wasting' a catalyst that costs 20 plat. This is terrible advice
I've killed so many stalkers and not one has dropped the broken war lol. I just crafted the war with the one I had
Considering the "War" is a bad weapon and the "Broken war" a good one, it's better to farm a new Broken War to keep the catalyst, because at the end you need to farm (or buy) one anyway if you want to use the Broken War
With the starting 50 plat you should buy complete starter slot bundle which gives you 2x warframe 2x companion and 2x weapon slots. Whole bundle is 50 plat

My cousin dissolved his Primed Vigor. That's a permanent loss, since you can only get one of those.
I'd contact Support for this. They can reverse those permanent things for you 😉
They can, and he probably would've asked support if he still played. But if I was DE, I would've made the daily reward mods available from Simaris after you've gotten them, or simply made them impossible to dissolve.

For other weapons so I can get more mr. I got a friend that also played Warframe but he was a much higher mr then me. We got on the topic of what some great weapons are in Warframe. He mentioned the broken war. And my heart kinda broke a little bit

Legendary rank 4 here: I would argue I do need a riven... so I can bring my MK-1 Braton into level 400+ Archimedea missions.
THIS! One of my favorite things to do endgame is to get a bunch of rivens for never used weapons that make them viable again! This has paid off huge too over the years where unused weapons became Tenet and Incarnon weapons too. Love my rivens

The best weapon a fresh player could get is a zaw until it only needs reputation and ressources from eidolon plaines (with some help ofc)

speaking from personal experience, this also includes crafting it into the complete war
I disagree with point 5, the open worlds thing. you should start leveling up the entrati standing as soon as possible, so you dont struggle to get the ores to craft a necramech when you need it. I was stunlocked for a whole week because of the daily standing limit. I could make 0 progress in the story for a whole week because the ores are locked so far in to the entrati.
I sold the broken war by mistake. Thankfully i realized my mistake early and customer support was nice enough to return it to my inventory.
I started the New War Quest with a rank 0 unmodded Railjack. I had no crew members and had to travel like thousand of metres, killing enemies and surviving this shit. I always died, again and again and thought about quitting the game because I was stuck in that mission for more than two weeks. With some luck I finally completed it even without any upgrades and it was painful besides the fact that my PC is really really bad and I had to play this Railjack mission with lags
buying mods for nightwave credits and selling them to other players is better value than going straight for the orokin catalysts
Misspending Nightwave hurt my soul in parts I didn't know existed 😭

Thanks for making the list, just came back to the game after probably 6 or more years (stopped playing a bit after plains update dropped) and super overwhelmed with what is going on.
Chill is so true :D after initial flood of information and just playing for a moment and needed a break already, I now kept playing a bit more again in one go and just focus on some quests and stuff and slowly grind away those while getting used to the game again and the new content , inventory and currencies etc.
Besides 04, the mistake that would Doom your account is actually watching this video, because if you would try to play LIKE THIS, you will Meta your fun away. You can play at least till 50 lvl enemys without MODS, and then you can get to lategame with ~10 000 endo. Platinum, at least was, easily tradable, with 10 plat per requiem mod, So 50 platinum are fine to lose, Losing a lot of endo on one ultra mod... Well its about 258k for fully upgraded usuall mod, so its actually relativly on the nose in price department. If you already getting PRIME damage somehow,then you are already past endgame damagewise, There is nothing that you cant refarm, and that will not be that hard, you can beat the game, just without oneshoting everyone.

I did that on the beginning then went on a year or two break, then came back for the scarlet spear missions and then went on break until like a month ago. Now I am only sweating new events and taking my time going into the new war. I'm glad I saw this video as I think I need to upgrade my railjack

Me: Played long time ago, before the "strong stalker" was a thing, leveled the Broken War, and after that, I sold it since I didn't really had an use for it, a bit later, surprise, new stalker, and blueprint for the war needs the broken war as material, good luck farming the blueprint for that one.

About the broken war, i was devastated when it was gone. Come later to cross save and i connected my switch account to my pc account, and i got it back now. It's my primary weapon of choice.

I'm a veteran player that has completed nearly everything this game has to offer and I still thoroughly enjoyed watching. And yes, I made every mistake listed, this an absolute gem of a video. One last mistake is picking Excalibur as my starting frame, since you get "you know who" later on. Volt is probably the best pick since he's useful for most scenarios including "you know what" hunts.

The least destructive way to get credits is to sell Harrow chassis for 5k a piece.
It doesn't cost any slots to keep the frame or weapon in the foundry so you can build a lot's of stuff if you don't have slots get one by one out of a foundry level them up for mastery rank then sell them or feed frames to helmith.
I think you just saved me from the new war quest because I didn't really use this stuff and just got to the point where I wanted to start the quest

As someone who hoards prime parts, its great for when baro rolls around and for giving people entire prime sets if I get a good vibe from new players
these aren't account dooming mistakes lmao. you can 100% play the game with friends and don't need to think of it as a solo game just because your forced to do most of the quests solo. also I will gladly hold onto my mountain of misc. prime parts since weapons and frames get vaulted when new primes drop. not to mention you need every weapon/ prime for mastery. don't just get rid of your prime parts unless you know you don't need them or already have them

I can tell you de forgot about one weapon. The opticor vandal. You get it from the first time maxing the thermia fractures and simaris doesn't have its dupe.

Brooo this video saved me I was js about to start the new war with the basic railjack and Necramech
19:42 man I'm a returning Player and I did those railjack missions without anything just the base stuff and it took my hours and I'm actually surprised that I got through it , it was hell , but with all vids online telling you to complete these mission without warning you about the lvl is the dev mistake, they should have away to restart the mission or abandon it somehow after failing a certain times
I Sold My Achwing Part after crafting it. I couldn't redo the excavation mission again and I just couldn't progress the main story for two years until one day I get a piece of mail with my part I was Like no way.
One of my pieces of advice is don't use your relics until you know what you're farming for. Relics can be hard to come by, especially vaulted relics. Only farm relics when you want a prime or forma. Saw a new player today opening them to open them, something I did early on and I'm kicking myself because a lot of those are vaulted. SAVE YOUR RELICS!!!!!
I suggest something else but relic related as well ^^ - Lith relics are the easiest to farm and can be used to sell the drops for Ducats for Baro. But only when you get a better understanding of what he sells
One other thing I'll say is that you should NEVER spend plat on warframes through the in game market, with very few exceptions. You can buy several prime frame sets for the price of one normal frame. I do a lot of trading, and recently got a Mesa Prime set for 80P, a Saryn Prime set for 90P, and a Mirage Prime set for 65P.
That's less than the price of one frame through the market. The default market is a scam. Don't do it.
There's like one or two exceptions like Sevagoth and Protea but if you want to buy those just log in daily until you get a 75% off voucher
Not always true if you want to feed them to helminth. The non-prime variants can he harder to get than primes so buying from the market might be an okay solution.
Additional note on opening relics: You might have something someone else is looking for. And every time someone else choosed your relic item, you get some extra void traces from the end of mission results. Some squads, if no one is getting what everyone's looking for, will all select someone else's relic, so that each person in the squad is getting the end of mission bonuses. Or, if you mention in squad chat that you're low on void traces, a few kind squad mates might choose your stuff to help you out.
While it won't wreck your account, as you can do so any time, you might be face palming if you don't so so fairly early on: Join a good clan. You can get some good advice, people who may trade stuff to you for non-plat stuff (especially good for trading relics, prime bps, mods), and people that you can pre-form squads with. Plus, access to all the stuff that needs a clan dojo to obtain and craft. This could save you tons of plat and frustration. The clan I belong to has their own discord server, so it's even easier to communicate and share info, plan for trades/events, and generally get to know other players better.
18:00 you just reminded me how I almost got myself stuck in The War Within bc I went in with an under leveled frost prime and glaive prime. I was stuck for around a week until I found out that amps could absolutely melt the kuva guardians.
doing the 3rd party thing I hated myself after I did that I got 2 warnings and I had to pay the plat back to my account to get it back. 2 times. one thing i would say is to never do that. 1 it ruins the player exeprince. 2 it just makes things more ez for the users to do. my advice to all you tenno out thare wait for a 25% or a 75%. to buy platnum
I sold Despair after mastering it, not realizing it was super rare...Haven't seen one since.
What’s even worse is that it has an Incarnon forme… it’s one of the most powerful weapons I could ever ask for.
Running the Void keys solo, Died with DE making Relics so yeah much better and gets us a social life with new friends that could catch us up and help with other future activities.
For Xoris: The blueprint, core, handle, and blade are all obtained during The Deadlock Protocol. Additional blueprints and parts can be bought from Cephalon Simaris for 100,000 and 15,000 respectively.
Cliff notes of things NOT to do in Warframe:
0:38 *"Maxing mods early"* Don't use too much endo ranking high level mods up too much; only level them to 7 or 8 out of 10
2:14 Don't sell mods for credits ever. Instead disolve them for endo. Don't sell unique blueprints and weapons like "Xoris", "War", "Broken War", "Dread", "Hate", "Despair". MH says if you don't know, don't sell it.
4:04 *"Wasting starting plat"* Don't waste the 50 plat your account comes with on anything other than slots, reactors and catalysts. MH says don't get colors/cosmetics/rushing foundry items/anything at the Darvo deal
5:32 *"3rd party services"* Don't use 3rd party softwares for macros and such & don't share your account with ANYONE
6:33 *"Open worlds"* Don't spend much time on open worlds early in the game. if you do ensure you know WHY you are doing it, have a particular goal or reward in mind. MH recommends the Helminth Segment from Deimos, Bond mods from Cetus and set mos from Cetus
8:11 *"Warframe is not a race"* don't feel bad about not having something unlocked yet. MH recommends playing solo and at your own pace; just have fun with the game and not worry about all the systems in the game all at once and early on.
9:18 *"Misusing Nightwave Cred"* MH recommends only getting nitain extract, reactors/catalysts and aura mods.
10:56 *"Catalysts wasted"* catalysts are often difficult to get early on so don't use them on junk weapons, only good weapons
12:15 *"Bad market deals"* don't buy resources or credits from the in-game market. don't use in-game trade chat with other players as a newer player. use warframe.market website instead which acts as an auction house of the game.
14:01 *"Buying rivens"* don't spend a lot of plat on rivens. MH recommends focusing on arcanes or other things instead
15:14 *"Solo Relics"* Don't run relics solo run them public instead as you have a guarantee to get other options as rewards.
16:14 *"You can build teams"* If you want a certain reward from a certain relic you can go to the in-game recruiting chat and look for a someone saying something like _"H [Axi L1] radshare 2/4"_ | _"H"_ = hosting , _"[Axi L1]"_ = the relic they are running , _"radshare"_ or _"rad"_ = running specifically radiant relics , _"2/4"_ = 2 out of 4 squad slots are currently taken up |
16:30 *"Keeping prime junk"* MH recommends against what most players do which is keep a prime part/blueprint for a long time and not use them when you could sell those parts/blueprints instead and buy helpful things like slots or catalysts/reactors. "Look at what you got, think 'do I really need this anytime soon?', if you don't and they make a good buck on Warframe.market then sell them and get those important power boosting items."
18:07 *"Quest locked!"* Don't go into a specific quests that lock you from going back into the main part of the game without being properly geared up. These quests are "The War Within" this one is less of an issue. "The New War" is much more problematic with this, if you have a low power Necramech or Railjack you can softlock your account by not being able to finish the quest you are stuck in due to being too weak on the parts of those quests. For railjack MH recommends getting level 3 guns and getting 2 crew mates
20:05 *"Archon shards"* get archon shards as often as you can as they are becoming more relevant for current builds and for the future of the game. They can be obtained from weekly Archon hunts (after "The New War" quest), from Chipper at Kahl's Garrison in the drifter's camp on Earth (after "Veilbreaker" quest), and Netracells (after "Whispers in the Walls" quest)
I realized these Cliff notes are actually really long about 2/3rds way through writing it. Them being long really defeats the point of "cliff notes". Oh well. Here it is anyways.
Something I was surprised was NOT in this list, that was a HUGE pain in the ass for me, and was honestly just supremely unlucky- I sold all the non-Primed variants of Warframes that I DID have the Primes for, like a month before they announced the Helminth system.
BOY DID THAT SUCK. I still haven't farmed up the all of the normal frames, because I only bother when I actually want to install the relevant ability... but damn. Hold onto those non-prime frames until you get the prime version, then SUBSUME, don't SELL.

Tip for railjack parts in the new war, if you are underpowered (like I was XD) you can make enemies crash into environment, it's quite easy to do and you will be able to progress

@@aussfromthesauce6845 Bruh what pangolin is worse in stats that broken war 😂 and prisma Skana incarnon is mid as hell compared to other melee but ever other sword is ass so it's still best, broken war is the 2nd best one handed sword stanced weapon stats don't lie

I would like to point out there is a lot of weapons and warframes people say are bad but are actually great if you put the work in
Weapon and frame slots are usually available as Nightwave rewards, that should be mentioned.
BIg mistake to avoid from me is being 3hrs into a steel path survival farming run and forgetting what part you were after so checking the warframe companion ap to be faced with the "you hav been logged out" screen and forgetting they share the same login unlike other games like destiny and their companion app lol
I sell my duplicate mods for credits all the time because I for whatever reason have an abundance of endo that I never use enough of, precisely due to a lack of credits. I don’t need 76 unranked Vitality mods
You can run The Index on Neptune for credits if you can kill level 30 enemies. Each wave on the lowest difficulty gives you 75k on the first stage, then 105k there after and it takes only a few minutes to complete a stage. 76 vitality mods is 15k credits or 380 endo.
While the 15k credits can be earned in couple of minutes in the Index, the endo will take longer to farm until much later. Rank 10 mods for late-game content will cost 40k endo total to max out - if you don't have a use right now, you will eventually.
You can get any quest reward from cephlon simuris on the relays costs alot of standing but can be done..

I did the new war quest with absolutely no missing on rail jack or mech. You can die basically as much as you want and it won’t punish you. Especially on rail jack. Just shoot til it’s done 🤷♂️
Always buy a syandana with your 50pl, that would level up ur gameplay experience.

I went into The New War without a crew, but a lot of good mods. if you do this it is to know parkour, Void Jumping or have Revenant, Volt, or Guss to zip about your railjack.
FYI I only had good parts like the Shields reactor engines and plating on my railjack and the Big Gun (Forget the name of it) III from the Clan Dojo Drydock or from the console next to your railjack in the dry dock of a relay. Everything else was default not even I or II.

Played the game today after 4 years, had Xoris in my inventory, got it lvl 30 sold it and got this video 2 hours after, everythings fine 👍
i spent my first 75 plat on a color set but i still don't regret it, being able to look metal as fuck while brutalizing the Grineer on mars enhanced my experience to a worthwhile degree, i likely wouldn't have stuck with warframe otherwise, and here i am nowadays doing casual trading and making heat only pyro builds lol

I do enjoy the Nightwave objectives since it was implemented, if Im unsure what do next on my epic journey through space or just feel the need to get into the swing of things, tackle Nightwave objectives, basically it is my go to for Nitain, Orokin Reactors & Catalyst at the end of it all. Plus the reward drops from lvl.1-30 is a nice bonus to add to my endless collection for decorating.
BUT by far the best tip; ENJOY WARFRAME, play it on your own pace, learn the mechanics, get a feel for the map tile sets, play solo for a while if you're feeling overwhelmed, you'll be delighted by your personal progress from a Newly Awakened Tenno to a Seasoned Space Ninja as you progress & get comfortable with the game & your ability to play it.
The biggest mistake for me was "not scanning kavats" (for genetic codes) in Inaros quest. There were A LOT of them there and you can't replay the quest.
I told one of my friends 1000x to get the right scanner first and that I can help him do the quest with maximum scans but he still rushed through it and didn't do any scans... Doing the quest twice (second time with a friend) I got enough scans for a few kavats and all the khora parts XD
The ironic thing about that is my lazy ass probably still hasn't even done the mission since it's not MSQ. I think my friend told me about the scanner at the time so we put it off and then never got around to it. That was like 7 years ago.
