A couple of years ago I would have dismissed the idea that anyone would want to track gold ownership. Anyone who has lived through the last couple of years should know that people can be made to do things that would have been surprising not that long ago. Well I live in Ontario Canada, and I would’ve sad something similar, but the landscape has changed big time. I would advise paying in cash for all your precious metal purchases and selling outside the system. The system is broken and a parallel economy has to spring up around and subvert the globalists…that’s the reality.
It was illegal to own gold in the US from 1933 to 1974. They have always had their eyes on gold.
But that doesn't mean it never traded during that time on the black market.

Hi Tony - Hello from NH! I am curious if they are buying American Gold Eagles or if they are purchasing collectibles/numismatics?
20 oz is big money? That's about $500. One single silver contract on Comex is 5000 oz. The rule of thumb I always used to hear with investing was that 10% of your portfolio should be in precious metals. I wish I'd listened to that 'back in the day'. Silver was $5/oz and Gold was $300 for a long time.
He's talking gold, not silver. Those amounts would be reported to the government. If I could even afford it, I'd break it up into smaller purchases. I wouldn't want to walk around with up to $100,000 in cash, regardless.

This is so informative, because this year JM Bullion has a new procedure when you buy from them: A 'Holding Period'. No doubt the IRS is sniffing my balls. My silver orders are subject to a shorter holding period. The gold, though... Hey, come & get it, boys. I live in a state where you can carry concealed. Make it past the lead, you get the gold. Easy peasy. I'm fed up with the blatant trampling of our Constitution. Play time is over.

Buy from SD Bullion I have had no issues with orders over 5K but always keep it under 9K for 1 Oder.

Went to a LCS and recently sold all out of 90% and sold out of gold.
I'd like to break bread with Tim over a Thanksgiving feast while talking about precious metals. Tim's the man.
The big banks keep knocking the metals prices down with paper so they can get better prices on physical metals. They don't want prices going sky high because they are still accumulating more and more and more metals for their own stash. They know the average person doesn't have enough extra money to buy very much metal so they skew the playing field in their favor. That's why some of the big banks have a million ounces or more stashed away and are still buying more. A regular person would be doing pretty good to get a couple of hundred ounces.

I've been buying my gold, when I can, one ounce at a time... with cash at my LCS. Seems to work out well. Hand cash over, he hands the coin over, and the deal is done.

I mostly have silver as a collector can be a hedge against inflation though. Anyone who buys online are automatically tracked. Maybe it's best to shop with your local dealer. Even bitcoin buyers are tracked. Get out of online purchasing and make all transactions via cash if possible. Love Tim he's classic and full of wisdom and knowledge.
@@hotheadedjoelhaha Yes, and our dealers are in the know about this stuff. Most of their clients who pay in cash do so for that very reason not to be. All my purchases are cash only have been over a decade now. My checking account is only for bills with a minimal amount. No safe deposit box and only $50 in my savings. With the way things are going we need to be 10 steps ahead of the goons.

What the real kicker is that I seriously doubt people who buy trading cards, comic books, video games, and action figures have to fill out tax forms, even though all of those things are very much indeed assets that have the potential to increase in value over time.

I went to a coin show this week and buought a 1/4 ounce eagle, i watched as people were buying entire rolls of 1 ounce eagles and paying cash , i stuck around and saw the guy selling roll after roll, a least ten rolls , some people would buy 4 / 8 , 10 gold eagles his cash machine was going non stop , i never saw anything like it, many many older people over 65 were just lined up buying buying buying. it was just amazng. silver eagles they had boxes of them on a dolly and he said they would be gone by noon

There is a zero percent chance anyone takes my gold unless they shoot me. I buy online and in cash, here in Canada. If they wanted to know what I have, they could find it - even with cash at a dealer. The only true private way would be in person, with cash, as a private sale.
Love my Tim time and I thank you for introducing him...but, Yankee, I am noticing you are getting a tad anxious and not letting him finish. The guy is cool, even keyed and is why we can listen to him. Your voice kind of jumps over his calm demeanor. Let him talk in the next ones, his old age and wisdom prevents him from getting too excited and fanatical so he keeps himself collected and rational.

You can just do every show talking to Tim he is a breath of fresh air and knowledge . It's not a mater of IF, it's a matter of WHEN THE CRASH IS COMING and it's going to heart bad if your not stacked and ready. I think your better to put most of your money in Silver @ Gold even if you might loose some money it's a mental safe haven. I don't keep any money in the bank any more, don't want to go to a closed bank and ATM machine some day. And I have my medals hidden, they can't take what they can't find.

I use a credit card for cash back, I buy everything I need with the credit card for the month and pay it off at the end of the month. For this month alone I'm making $100 on things I always buy. I make the banks pay me for using their money.
I do the same. When on occasion I answer a unsolicited phone call and it's a credit card pitch, I tell them I pay my balance off in full every month, and they hang up. I'm a real deadbeat. LOL.

There everything wrong with government overreach. Individual rights, freedoms and choices must be safeguarded and protected.
All transactions must be private. Cash must prevail. Anonymity with the use of cash is one of our last freedoms
By definition, government "overreach" is too much. It's a tautology. It's whether or not you consider something to BE overreach. No one likes government overeach. It's just different people consider different things to be overreach.
