After WoD, and especially after Tom Chilton left (and Ion takes over), all the expansion is and will be shit. I played WoD until the end. But I didn't play Legion until the end. Legion, BfA and Shadowlands are the 3 worst WoW expansions. The problem with WoD was that more than half of the content was cut off.
I am absolutely sure that all post-Shadowland expansions will be bad. Because the current Blizzard team is bad.
Don't forget 2 expacs later when the shit expac becomes the old gem in the community's eyes. I thought it wasn't possible for WoD, but here we are lol

@@ShadowFri3nd was pretty good in wotlk too, primordial saronite/crusader orb gear was a great starter 264 ilvl/ 245 ilvl the equivalent of icc 25 normal/toc 35 normal, and in some cases, they even had better stats than raid drops.
I'm here now, when asmongold no longer consider shadowlands very good.

Blizzard has changed from "Make a great expansion at any cost" to "Make an expansion good enough for the first several months and trying to fix it so it can last until the next one come out". And the cycle repeats. I really hope with OW2 and D4 coming out filling the gap, the WOW team can take their time to sharpen a really good expansion(hopefully with upgraded graphics) to reinvigorate the passion within the players that has been lost along with the confidence as well as the trust with Blizzard.
It will never happen, WoW is way too garbage at this point, a complete restart and overhaul, a WoW 2 would need to be made at this point

Honestly man I'm not gonna give wow more money, once the next big MMO comes out (looking at New World and AOC) I'll jump ship. It's way outdated and the writers have to continue writing about that one little thing that they forgot to clear up. BFA was based off of azeroth's blood and SL was based off of the origins of some 5 man boss. IMO Legion was the final clear all for the story of the world. I derive my enjoyment from the game as a lore fanatic and after Legion it didn't create that spark of interest anymore. Not to mention, but there are more caring devs or at the very least, a more caring publisher watching over these devs that allow them to express creativity compared to the recipe WoW has been running and as a game developer myself that's what creates the best games.
In a more direct response, I don't think Blizzard is going to change their quality. OW has been without updates for 2 years now and OW 2 is looking to add 1 more hero then that's the end of their innovation. What draws this conclusion is in their showcase they mentioned "We really felt as though we were missing a weapon archetype to fill and Sojurn has fulfilled that roll". D4 I have small faith in as it's going the same route as WoW with the writers going off of that one little thing. Probably gonna be some kid snorting up the death angel's remains and suddenly he's the next Diablo. Beating a dead horse, wait no, they've found out that after beating the horse so much that it turned to dust that turns out to be a great solvent for the philospher's stone. Not the feeling that encaptured me all those years and their actions as well as their proposed actions for the future are telling me that I won't like it even if I gave them 10 years to work on a new game.
I love how Asmongold goes .. full disclosure, I paid to win and this is how I did it. It makes me a better player.

Shadowlands is just BFA part 2. Don't get me wrong, there's some cool shit to do every now and then, but it's still the same infinite grind that existed within BFA. It's still the same essence system where people get fucked over by rng.

Shadowlands is a middle down the road expansion. It is not as good as TBC, WotLK, MoP and Legion. But it is better than Cata, WoD and BFA.
Idk man, I've heard very mixed opinions on MoP leaning more on the negative side. I think shadowlands might be the better expansion there
@@vigilr6595 MoP for me is the best. When the major problem of the expansion is the panda race, you know its good. PvP godlike, class design one of the best and most fun, pve so good (it has 2 of the best raids), daily content also good, and story i'd say ok at the very least. What more do you want ?
Also i think Cata was way better then people think, probably because it was the first expansion to truly show who was an actual good player and who was the trash and casual, as the raids began to be actual hard with actual mechanics on a regular basis, pvp was one of the best and class design was also fun
blizzard does not need to push token sales, the boosting community does it for them.
20:30, Saavix was also saying that Word of Glory was too underpowered in the beta, and it didn't heal nearly enough, now it can bring someone from 5% to 100%
Saavis also said that Shield of Vengeance was too underpowered and that atleast people were scared of hitting thorns. Now it absorbs an insane amount, and can crit for 25-30k if you decide to burst through it.
Saavix got most of what he was whining about, because Blizz listened that ret palas had problems, just not the mobility. Problem is, they weren't supposed to be invincible gods if they can also burst people from 100 to 0, so with all those things that Saavix requested (and actually got), they should have nerfed the dmg to fit these buffs.
McCucks arguments are completely invalid, because he decides to ONLY mention that they wanted more mobility, which isn't an argument at all, and isn't what paladins are supposed to be about.

You know Pilav used to play on a private server called molten wow, now its called warmane. He paid for full end game and would do pre-made full of ICC hc gear teams. He must have spent about 5 k on gear.
Most important thing he didnt say... If u want to be a healer at pvp, pick a pact X legendary 0, if u want to be a dps at pvp, pick pact Y and legendary 2, if u wanto to be a dps at pve, pick pact X with legendary 3, but if u want to be a tank, pick pact Z with legendary 4... Of course if u like all those contents, like i do (wish i had a chance to play as tank, dps and heal sometimes), just spent 2 zilions hours of ur life farming legendarys, gold and time to grind some renown, but it's not enough... Why?? cause Every fucking week there's an update that screws up some meta shit and u have to do it all over again, wtf blizzard??...

Me and my friend played as 200 ilvl balance Druids to 2100 in 3s the other day with just convoke. My other friend hit 2400 the other day before Ele Shaman got buffed as he has never done PvP before. It’s literally not the class except in the case of my balance druids, but mostly the fact that if you know how to play it doesn’t matter what class you are doing it on.

Shadowlands is good at the begining, but the content drought hit hard already. It feels like a repetitive expansion, the only 4 zones are so mono-thematic, being all day in your coven or in oribos (a really dull city imo)... It gets boring with time.
Shadow lands is the first xpac I didn't buy. And I've been playing since 2003 beta. I'd rather play on private servers.

What are you on about?, its not abusing anything, there's nothing wrong with boosting, pvp gear at the start fo the expansion was too good not to chase for, and some people dont want to sink time into it, so instead of complaining on forums they just pulled out their 10 million gold they got from boosting last tier to buy 2400 instead.

Yeah I pretty much feel that.. Except I enjoyed BFA more (even if 8.3 was the worst patch I've ever experienced). With news about the PTR just reusing the Legendaries appearances I really feel like this is a "fuck it" expansion for Blizzard. I get covid is hampering development but wow; I hate all the leather except for CN. I really hope they turn the expansion around in the next two patches though but I'm afraid it's going to be another 2 years of waiting for a good WoW expansion pack.

big true on vanilla wow. all my gear was from pvp and hitting grand marshal on my warrior. then i joined a pve guild got 2.5 and some tier 3. then in tbc same thing. i got all my gear from arena and bg's that was just as good if not better then pve gear. so ya big fucking true

Mcconnel was defending Ret 2 months ago crying it was perfectly balanced. He only changed his tune when it became so absurd that he would look stupid defending his position.

Do not bullshit with "I can't get any gear to do m+" cause you can literally buy HALF the gear of AH if you are willing to farm gold for like half a month or so doing callings + professions; second, you have Covenant gear and a system that allows you to up gear from 184 to 220 if you commit hard enough can be done in literally a week. Raid is ass, I'll agree on that. Everything else is lucrative in terms of loot and you can easily grind up to 215 ilvl which should in turn allow you to push high keys and do high rated PvP. Your issue is that you are afraid to admit that this game is no longer for you and whatever Blizzard does to satisfy you whiners is never going to be enough. Just do us all a favour and quit the game already. Thank you.

Shadowlands so far is in the worst 3 expansions for me. As it is right now I'd say its the 2nd worst expansion behind BFA maybe it will redeem itself later but it will probably stay in the worst expansions. I couldnt even stomach a month and a half of Shadowlands it was so god damn boring.

Yeah, People seem to forget Legion also had its problems at the start and got better as the expansion went on, Shadowlands is certainly already better (!!in goddamn 9.0!!) than the entirety of BfA or WoD and even has a good chance to surpass Legion and become 3rd place best Expansion after TBC and Wrath IMO.
My ranking atm: TBC>Wrath>Legion>SL>MoP>Cata>BfA>WoD
(maybe I have a personal irrational hatred against Cata for "killing the good old WoW" and it probably could rank higher though)

Because grinding AP to unlock abilities that should be class-baseline, or getting shit RNG with your legendary drops that could potentially bench you in your raidgroup for weeks was so much fun in early Legion.
Sure, non of those problems existed in 7.2 or 7.3, but at the start of the expansion Legion had several major issues that shouldn't be ignored.
While I can't make a judgement about the entire expansion right now, personally I'd say 9.0 is a better patch than 7.0.

I PLAY RET but i dont like it and yes it is pretty frickin good. i like my warlock more, but I do feel when something is unbalanced, and I chose pala because i wanted to try something else, but I dont actually play ret, i play holy and wank around in bgs. I felt it was insane compared to warlock, i did.
it infuriates me how deluded he is to get rankings in pvp. at least when you're too late to the party. sure everybody else is at 2400 rating but then who am I suppose to play with as somebody below 1k rating. there's nobody in the queue and even then end up losing majority of the games as a MM hunter. it's so grindy and get so little rating from each win its just not worth the time investment.
