Ghana Vlog (Part 7) - Ada to Afienya.
Ada Foah or Ada is a coastal town in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Just off the Accra-Aflao motorway, this town is located along the Volta River.
A drive here from Accra takes approximately 2 hours by car.
Enjoy various waterspouts from speed boats to sailing, canoeing to kayaking or surfing for the brave hearts. Enjoy clean, long and sunny beaches in Ghana at Ada Foah and Big Ada, Visit Aflive, a nice village on the big island just opposite Ada Foah try some of the locally distilled apateshie.
Another huge attraction here is the Estuary which is located at the mouth of the Volta River, an area that is easily Ghana's most extensive beach front destination. It has the sea, the Volta River and the Songhor Lagoon. Again, what makes it special is the estuary, where the river flows into the sea.

The view from sea level while riding in a boat that is rocking because of the current is more spectacular even though it's a little nerve-racking. To hear and see the collision when the river collides with the sea/ocean is something I'll never forget. It's something that you don't get from the view that you get from the drone.

Nice video. I adore Ada but i may be a little biased as part of my ancestry hails from Ada.
Just one technical detail, if i may, it is the river Volta not lake that creates this confluence. Lake Volta is further north and only came in to existent as result of damming of the river volta. However by this point the river Volta is free of the dam and takes more or less its natural course. It is also Ghana's largest river and at the mouth is exceptionally wide.
What are the local names of the Volta ?
