Do all of the human crew need to own the module or can the gunners be just anyone?

They need to make the Huey a limited free module so you can get friends in as door gunners even if they aren’t flight simmers

FYI: Huey crew is “A.C.”, or aircraft commander. “Co-pilot”, or Peter-pilot, “Crew-chief”, chief, and “Door-gunner”, or gunner.

I know this vid is a couple of years old now but if I tick SOLO on a Huey in ME then I can sit only in the pilot seat position and it does not allow me to sit in any of the other seats?

I can not properly use any gunners with trackir as the up and down look get inverted and I don't know how to fix it, I have tried inverting them in controls but no luck...........Any Ideas?

What happens if the pilot dies? Does the copilot still have to request control or will you just take over?
Copilot takes over but if pilot leaves the unit they all go back to spectator

Our squadron tried multicrew the day it came out. With 3 different helicopters and exactly at about 5 minutes in the air the Helo explodes, the tail separates and we crash to the ground. We tried this about half a dozen times until we just gave up. No overspeed or engine stress either. It just doesn't like multicrew as there has to be some kind of desync issue going on.
been solo flying the huey for 4 years and started to fly in multi crew now , it works fine but i guess you are overweight or pushing above the huey limits
We did multicrew a few days also, no issues with crashes.
Took a darn long time. Hope it is stable

Ive tried to be the gunner. Cant fire it. I can move it, AND i could the controls under uh1h huey gunner, doesnt work
It works, the pilot has to change your ROE like for an AI gunner.
So what happens to the autopilot? Not that you’d need it, but if the copilot switches to a gun position, will the autopilot option come back
I don't get what you're saying, if the copilot is shooting... The pilot is flying.
How do I do the multi crew on the F-14?
Just go on a public multiplayer server and two humans will be able to enter one aircraft.

Is there a way where both pilots have control of the stick at the same time? So that I can teach someone to fly and basically assist him with my controls? Like he is hovering and I can control the pedals and help with the stick a little bit at the same time
Because of inherent desync between physical devices, having both means the virtual stick would snap to stick positions on change, which wouldn't be great, but it would be still great to have shared controls for the instructor to work the collective and pedals, while the student is flying the stick.
@@tomaszwota1465 snapping can be easily mitigated though. Just mix the inputs together

If you have never flown a heli before then the Huey will take a lot of time to get used too.
Piloting a heli is too much WAY harder to start than any other fixed wing aircraft! Too sensitive too all control surfaces. IRL your both feet, your both left and right hands are in control all the time. But as time goes by, all that real-time control would stick in your muscle memory.

Go get the puma flight trainer Controller...that much more fun and a lot easier than normal joystick!

I think the pilot needs to open the doors for you, as well as set the ROE for the fun to work.

Oh man I had a lot of fun in BF4 with friends killing the attack helicopters with the transport helos. Not quite same as DCS haha
