WHAT IS TALK HEATHEN?
Talk Heathen is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared toward long-form and on-going dialogue with theists & atheists about religion, theism, & secularism. Talk Heathen is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
Talk Heathen is filmed in front of a live studio audience every week at the Freethought Library of the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop & support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing & friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of government-religion separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists & to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

I've been what I consider a hard skeptic since before the age of maturity. As a child, the proposition of "God" being loving and vengeful were unreconcilable differences and neither have heard nor experienced anything in my life that squares that circle.
Confidence is only bad if it's unjustified.
There is also a difference between being confident in a particular belief, and just confidently communicating what you know and what you don't know and how sure you are about that. Someone can very confidently say that they aren't sure about something.
And then you have people like Tucker Carlson and Gordon Pedersion (he doesn't acknowledge anyone's name, so I don't acknowledge his) who just talk out of their ass, admit is, and just keep on ass talking anyway on things they know less than absolutely nothing about.

Intelligent theists don't have time for a damn CZcams show.
Also consider that half these hosts full time gig is monetizing these kinds of conversations.

All of our hosts on Talk Heathen are volunteers at the ACA - ALL of them. The hosts don't monetize any videos here.

I always wince hearing fellow atheists say they have “faith” in their beliefs.
I mean, I know what they mean and how they are using the language - but when talking to a theist you are just playing into their atheist made of straw.
