- This week's Golf life action comes from the beautiful Wyke Green Golf course in Isleworth. I take on the "magic man" Paul Merson in the Foooore hole challenge!! We discuss all sorts including.... avoiding Stuart Pearc , both our problems with alcohol, and living with Gazza!! Hope you enjoy legends! ⛳️

Merson probably one of the best performances from an opposition player I’ve seen down Millwall, he was playing for Pompey 2003 and he single handedly tore us apart set up 4 goals then scored one himself, got a standing ovation when subbed off from the Millwall fans, never has a player had that before or since down The Den. Class act.

TELE6220 Le Tissier is a great golfer and a man with a long career in football. I wouldn’t say Tubes picks guests for the amount of clubs they’ve played for or the titles they’ve won, just who would help him round the course and have a laugh along the way.

I agree. One of my favourite pundits. Watches the game as a normal fan and is like that as a pundit. Great to see him doing better now. I’ve struggled with addiction and know how hard it is.
Merse is a hilarious diamond. Even as a Spurs fan you cant help but like him and wish him all the best. Probably should be off 28 though!!
His honesty about fear panic and anxiety is amazing. Merson was my hero growing up. Even more now. I once played him at pool as a young teen. Thanks for entertaining a young lads dream to meet his hero.

This was the most insightful and honest thing ive seen for a while. Paul Merson on his addiction and how he can talk about it now shows what a man he is. Really enjoyed this tubes really enjoyed it. For someone whos going through struggles with addiction just shows theres a light at any tunnel. What a legend you are Lad. Hopefully one day cross your path be a pleasure to meet you

Wow!! Tubes what can I say? A fantastic video mate, I know I praise you every time but honestly these just get better and better. It really is great to see not just Merse in a good place but yourself too, both talking openly about your addictions is so brave and honest.

Respect the fact that they both admitted that they were shy and self conscious, which led them into drinking Alcohol to reduce their inhibitions.
I can relate to this, especially in my younger days.

I've struggled with a gambling addiction since I was about I'm 33 now its tough I haven't done a bet for a year now it's hidden addiction people dont know what your going threw and here In Belfast it's lead to people committing suicide I hope mers can overcome his demons he's a top lad

Stay strong and don't give it an inch. Fill the void with something else. I've had problems chasing losses, not being able to watch a game without having money involved, taking loans out etc. You get to the point where you have to cut off all access, self exclude the accounts, either find a way to watch the games without having money involved or don't watch them at all. I too considered suicide at times due to that combined with other difficulties in life but it honestly is a controllable addiction if you take the first strong steps and don't relent. With the ease of access, constant sports and bombardment of adverts I think it'll get more and more rife. I think a good step would be a stepped up reality check feature where they constant message you with your losses, it's too easy to sweep it under the rug and have a 'fresh start' the next day. Not that I blame the companies as it's a solo battle.
Thanks for speaking about addictions Tubes as it helps to normalise the conversation. Better to be a success story than a statistic, anyone reading this struggling - make yourself proud and plan a future you can believe in.

Julian Dicks was a scratch golfer and Johnny Moncur played off 2 back in the day. Dicksie even turned pro and competed in a few golf tournaments. Great work and nice to Merse so at ease with himself and life 👍
