    Some takeaways from me:
Reid, your portfolio is impressive and shows you have a lot of potential! Continue to refine the details and presentation to make an even stronger impact on the viewers. Stay persistent and patient - the market will eventually improve!
    • 30-second impression could be improved by presenting yourself specifically and directly (first-person) in the intro. Simplify this focus statement and emphasize your ability to make sense of large amounts of data within enterprise software.
    • Update your photo to a higher quality, and consider using tools like Canva or even an AI headshot creator to assist!
    • Make your project titles and descriptions more compelling and reflective of the problems solved. For example, update “Tech Enabled Consistency” to something more specific like “Fleet Management Solution for Data Accuracy.”
    • Include, if possible, more detailed metrics such as the number of data issues per month and the time saved with your solutions.
    • Avoid using icons that could be confusing (e.g., "under construction" icon for bottleneck). Use clear, relevant icons and descriptions.
    • Avoid ampersands in body text, and ensure proper grammar and punctuation.
    • Optimize the use of screen width and ensure consistency in content formatting.
    • Increase the font size of links and ensure high contrast for readability.

Hey Team! Today we have another in the series of Early Career Designer Portfolio Reviews, where I conduct a kind of UI assessment called a Cognitive Walkthrough. I review an early career designers portfolio and resume and give feedback for ways to improve it as they look for a job in the UX industry.
I'm a Sr. UX Designer with 10+ years of experience in UX design and a passion for helping early career designers as they make a career shift into tech. You can find out more about me at maigenthomas.com
Also, you can find out about me at www.patreon.com/maigenux where I hope you'll join an awesome crew of folks as I provide motivation and mentorship, build an apprenticeship agency to employ early-career designers and teach UX as I do UX.
If you're up for a portfolio review, you can sign up at this link: bit.ly/UX-PortfolioReview You don't have to agree to allow me to post it on the channel but it's appreciated if you're willing.
    Thanks for joining me!
