- If you want to get into experience and product design you'll need a starter portfolio. This tends to be challenging for the beginner designers who might have just taken a few courses with mostly theoretical knowledge. In this video I'll walk you through key steps on how you can create case studies without formal UX design experience.

Loved the video, thank you for sharing , I feel more motivated about my portfolio now.
Amazing content. Concise and straight to the point...more like what I needed to know. Thanks Vy
Thank you so much ! I have been following your videos and actually started project but I was only concentrating on showing that I understand the program instead of showing solution for problem :D
This helps a lot. Thanks!!
thank you very much from germany!!!
I've experienced at factory as a phsicist but I decided to change my career to ux. I don't have any portfolio and case studies to review. I think this video helps me to find a right job for me somewhere, thx ;)
I'm pumped now
Thank you for the words! This is exactly what I need.
I have been worrying about whether I can get any entry-level positions with my not-so-matched background.
Did you get a position? I am in the same situation right now, just starting to look for jobs...

Legend - listen to this guy - buy his book :) he's all over this :) Very smart and positive
If our portfolio has a focus on both ui, perhaps a slight touch of brand identity, and ux, how would you mix the more visual side with the more functional one holistically?
Your videos were very nice. Can you make a video for an experienced UI / UX designer
OMG, I see AlterSpark... LOL... suddenly feel so proud. I worked there for 2 years
You are one of the few people who mentioned IDF
Im in the software engineering field and want to move to ux field but so far its been unsuccessful with getting internships so now im doing the google ux course before i try again
Hi Richter, I'm in the same situation right now and would really like learn more about you and your experience so far. If you don't mind, could we please connect? Looking forward to hearing from you.

He seems more cheery and less jaded in this video than in his recent videos.
Fittingly, had less crappy personal comments to deal with
Hey.
About the passion projects you mention, how important is the amount of research and testing? Not talking about the methods used but for example the number of surveys, interviews, or testers. I find this to be a bit of a problem, having a lot of respondents is difficult and it's mostly quick online surveys. And if I start screening those, the numbers go down even further.
Thanks.
Your channel has been super helpful.
As much as you need to start making well informed next decisions and make next steps: depends how big of an issue and the sample you'll target. Generally the quantitative measures you get the easier it is to see big trends, but that also then has to be complemented with deep qualitative research to understand the whys. And if you ask me what you do with quant insights matter more then the amount - a survey with 20 answers could be enough to start seeing general themes. You can then dig deeper with segmentation, interviews, mapping of anecdotal experiences and so forth
@@vaexperience Thanks a lot!
I have completed a couple of UX projects during my college courses. In most of my studies, I didn't directly engage in design work. Instead, I facilitated workshops to gather data from end users. I only have storyboards created by the end users and low-fidelity prototypes. Can I include these in my portfolio?
hire me please :) i need to build a good portfolio and i don't know where to start.i did all the courses re to this field
hey, can you please mention the names of all the books you displayed in your video?
