  • Today's video is an install of the 2J Racing billet shifter base bushings. Was a pretty straightforward install. You can order yourself a set at the link below.

Hey bro I recommend the DC sports weighted shift ball!! It’s on Amazon for $40 and it comes with the adapter to fit the threads. Improves the feel of the shift a ton. I have the same car and it’s a well worth mod.

Won't the weighted shift knobs cause premature wear?

You dont need to mess with the reverse lockout, the boot just peels off when you take off the trim. Also, to hold the bushings in the shifter, you can use some grease to hold them in while you get the rest into position.

What are the reason to replace them, the reason I ask is cause my first and second gear shift hard the rest are smooth

Bro that shifter is so tall! I would definitely install a short throw shifter on that car

what does this do? does it make it smoother? i notice going from N to 1 and 1 to 2 is a little notchy. just got my 6 speed last week brand new.

It's a more direct feel. And over time it will keep the shifter feeling smoother than the stock rubber ones.

How do the bushings make the shifts smoother?
