That mid pipe is the most restrictive part in the entire exhaust, I believe it drops down to 1-11/16" at its most narrow. Any concerns for heat since the original header heat shields can not be reused?

I installed them on mine a year ago for some reason every once in a while I have to retighten all my header bolts as they keep coming loose

The difference was slightly noticeable, but the sound was very noticeable! I recommend the 2J headers! The link for the headers are in the description!

How much louder your car became inside after installing that?
Put a wobbly on right before the deep well to tighten the studs, rounding those off would not be good. Doing this work when the car is newer makes the process so much easier.

It does have drone! But that comes with having headers! I learned to deal with it when I had it!

No sir! 100% held up great!
Is that defouler you used one from 2J? The defouler that came with my midpipe isn’t angled like that.

Adding headers will definitely void drivetrain & emission part of your warranty! But adding an exhaust won’t affect your warranty whatsoever.
Easy with a lift and the right tools
It’s also easy with 2 jack stands! I’ve done about 20 at people’s homes & it’s just as easy!
geovani how are you man hope your good....tell you my story and give me your idea.so I got throttle body spacer and cold air intake from 2jracing I installed them everything fine no check engine light but I noticed later that my idle not going under 1500. I contacted them they told me you need to tune it so everything get back to normal and the problem why im gonna tune it if I don't have headers, so removed the 2j intake put back the factory but kept the spacer everything went back to normal did you have any issue like this before?
Yeah, unfortunately when you put all those bolt ons, you have to tune the car. There’s really no way around it :/
Hopefully you see this comment bro 🥺 but is the 90 degree defouler needed or will the one that 2j provide still take away the cel ? Does the head gasket they provide leak or should I buy oem ones? Does the dealership ask any questions about the headers when you get a maintenance check up?
Sadly the defouler works and doesn’t. It makes the light go on and off. Not a 100% fix. You actually need their gasket because it’s a little bigger & thicker. & the dealer won’t ask questions, having the headers will void your engine/emissions part of your warranty.

I have a 2019 hatchback and I think its too low? Can this car be heightened to give more ground clearance? When I purchased this car I forgot that I live in the North East and we have snow! lots of snow and lots of potholes! I was going to trade it back but my car devalued dam near 10K!!!! So, I'm kind of forced to keep it. This car drives wonderfully on the highway no issues there but now I realize this is not a good car for the snow or is it?
I have no idea if it’s good for snow, I live in California! You can put coil overs and max the ride height!

Not legal anywhere! They say only for “Track use only”
I would be concerned about thermal dissipation and the tremendous amount of heat coming off the headers. Especially due to the fact that there’s little to no airflow to the firewall or the rear portion of the engine. The car is aerodynamically sound and doesn’t have an air scoop. A good ceramic coating would help but I believe air has to be directed towards the headers to control high temperatures that will most certainly be an issue when idling for a prolonged period. Good video nonetheless 👍🏼

This looks like an official PITA to DIY with floor jacks. Aside from living in an emissions compliant state for cars, it really sucks to spend unnecessary time redoing parts to pass bi-annual smog tests….
Did the defouler really work? On the 2J racing website it states that it is not guaranteed that the defouler will prevent a CEL on

Well I don’t have the headers anymore so I don’t have the light. One way you can get rid of it permanently is if you get a tune specifically for the headers/intake

Installing defouler and retighten headers after a cycle and repeated the process until gone. Only had to retighten them twice.

It looks like you removed a set of headers to install a slightly different set of headers. I'll just go with a cat back system. I'll bet there was no HP increase and you might have even lost torque. That said still a good video for those who might want to do this.
