The reason he's using blue like this, yes it's stronger, but more important is he has perfect ki control, so he can use exactly what he needs
That is the dumbest excuse Super fans keep giving for bad writing, and shows how little they have internalized the original series..
Goku had perfect ki control in base since the Namek saga, displayed when he raised and lowered his power between 5000 and 50k+ (against the Ginyu Force) so quickly the scouters never gave any indicator of his energy, while at the same time Jeice and Burter couldn’t even see Goku dodging their attacks while ”still maintaining 5000 PL”. By the time of Cell games, Goku had similar mastery over SSJ1, where he could maintain the form in day to day life without extra strain on his body. By Buu saga, Goku had pretty much mastered ssj2 as well allowing him to reach the next stage. SSJ3 had problems with ki strain, but even in that form Goku obviously could control his ki, hold back or go Max power.
Now we are at ToP arc. Goku can lower and raise his power at any level as he pleases; even in ssj3, which definitely still has problems with ki strain, he can control his ki usage because that is a basic skill since early DBZ lol.
SSB ki control is not ability about raising and lowering his power, that is a misconception of kids interpreting the show who don’t know Goku has mastered that looong ass time ago. SSB’s ki control trait is about not letting ki leak and instead keeping it controlled on a higher level than normal ki control, which was the secret of God Ki and the whole key to SSB transformation.

The manga also explain how 17 knows Goku voice. This is cause when he got eaten by cell be can barely see and hear Goku along with 18. That how he recognized him during the Kid Buu spirit bomb.
The reason he knows Goku's voice is because Dr Gero played his voice in the programming of 17...they were designed to kill Goku.

you know, after you finish super you could watch GT. People might say it's not canon but you should still give it a watch, plus it's only 64 episodes and has in my opinion the best transformation in the whole franchise by far. just remember it's separate from super but takes place after z. Think of it as like an alternate timeline split from when after the buu saga. But before that you must watch a 2-3 episode z epilogue called end of z which then leads to GT.

Don, remember that the androids also have a little Saiyan DNA in them. So not only can they upgrade, they can evolve through training and battle experience.
That explains why 17 is able to keep up with Blue
Also you all should know, Goku knows the tournament of power contains warriors as strong as Goku ( to an extent ) so hes making sure everyone else is ready, and at one point ( ill try my best not to spoil anything ) Belmod says “Goku has finally shown the ‘Full Power’ of super saiyan blue. obviously indicating he was holding back by a lot. If goku were going full power every transformation, then super saiyan 3 is android 17’s limit. You can also see that he goes from super saiyan to blue instantly which is a big power gap, but its because again he is testing them and he knows the gap of power that each universe has.
The problem is ssj god takes more of a toll on his body then blue does it has become his easiest form to control and just be in

Well yes Uub was in GT and GT is not a canon, but Uub was also introduced to us at the very end of DBZ where they all got older and were fighting in the martial arts tournament, that's where goku met Uub for the first time and went with him to his village for a few years to train him.

SSJ3 is a waste of energy. Sure it is a big power up from 2, but it drains their energy too fast. Now that he has surpassed that level, it makes no sense to ever use it again because of the power drain.
SSJ God (red) *is supposed to be* only achieved using the ritual where 5 others channel their power into him.
I guess that's the conventional way to get that form
He transforms into SSG in the T.O.P so he doesn't need the Ritual, and Vegeta can also transform with no Ritual in the Broly Movie, so he can do it, just doesn't, and he does it in the Manga more, so they just don't give it enough Screen Time.
What I don’t understand tho is that if he’s far surpassed the level of SSJ3 at this point in the series, why is it still such a drain of his energy? Surely he’s mastered the form now. In the buu saga he says he can’t maintain the form for that long because it’s still relatively new. You’d expect him to have mastered it now 7-8 years later. The real reason is simply because they don’t want to animate the form
@@user-MB17 It is also because the Ssj3 should not exist, that form was obtained through unconventional methods and many factors out of the equation (being dead, infinite stamina, no sleep or hunger limitations)
It's simply a phase that no one would achieve through ordinary methods, a disproportionately powerful way to gain power but in the other world he never noticed the stamina problem.

@@user-MB17 Mastering the ability to reach a form does not make the form take less energy to maintain. God/Blue may be a higher level, but also requires far less energy to maintain than SSJ3. SO, that being the case, SSJ3 is no longer worth using, when you can reach a higher level at a cheaper cost.
Think of it like this. If you go to an all-you-can-eat buffet, and you have the ability to eat 12 plates of food, why would you settle for 8 plates when the price is the same?
About the manga panels where the Zeno exhibition fights happens. There is as you said the God of Destruction is doing it first. The last 2 standing is Beerus and Qutella the yellow little mouse. And if you take in consideration that Beerus is modeled after Toriyamas cat, i would dare to say Him and possible the mouse is the strongest of the gods of destruction.
The anime uses ssb so much because it kinda became this gens ssj. It more popular & sold more toys so they go with the money of course. Also nobody wants to always watch a 1 sided fight so to make it more interesting they give people a chance

How long could 17 keep up the barrier? Until it's broken. The androids(17 and 18) are both powered by perpetual motion machines, giving them an unlimited power source to draw from, so they won't be tired or out of energy.

I understand your frustration sometimes but you gotta understand if you watched DBZ then you'd understand that SSJ3 takes up too much power too quickly the most that form would last is 20 maybe 30mins tops and in a fight those minutws fly by quickly. And him and Vegeta rather use SSJB then SSJG because they can tap into the power the use when they go regular Super Saiyan with SSJG and then just multiple it and go even higher if they need too.

Goku could only go SSJ3 because he was dead when he did it, he was able to push himself further in an immortal body than in his mortal form, it uses way too much energy, and causes a lack of focus in the Ki, while Blue is God energy mixed with Saiyan energy to create excellent Ki control.

I understand your point. SSB became one of my favourite transformations in super when we first saw it in resurrection f. But it’s used so much. This is why I think the manga for super is better than the anime.

@@amadujalo8914 My bad. Not just because of the use of ssg but quite a few things. I think the power scaling in the manga is more consistent. The main thing is the goku black arc. I love the entirety of the goku black arc in the manga. Other moments like gokus hakai, beerus fighting the other gods of destruction many other moments through out all the arcs. I understand goku was tired but the fact it took ultra instinct to beat kefla I didn’t like (but I did give us that iconic kamehameha). I also prefer how ultra instinct was achieved in the manga. Instead of his limits being pushed by surviving his spirit bomb he learns it of what all his past mentors had taught him. Idk I just really dislike how ssg was treated. We had a whole movie on it, needed a ritual to even acheive it, even went back into some cool sayain history of the first ssg for the transformation not to be used until like 91 episodes later and then it’s gone again till the broly movie. I still love the anime, it gave many iconic and cool moments. I just prefer the manga imo.

I'll say it again in hopes Don reads comments. Goku doesn't really go god form because while yes, it is more powerful, it's way harder to maintain because it consumes way too much energy so it's just not worth it. Blue might be weaker, but easier to maintain for longer periods of time.
Don your thought process is 100% spot-on with deducing Goku using Blue like he is here. In no fucking world does 17, training on an island of animals, ACHIEVES A LEVEL TO A GOD MIXED WITH SUPER SAIYAN. Its so brainrot its not even funny
These last few episodes are what solidified Blue as one of the worst transformations in the franchise. Toei completely strips it of any logical sense when Goku uses it for recruitment and leaves it to DB fans to defend their nonsense writing, which unfortunately worked cause DB fans are 90 percent glue eaters. The reason they won't have Goku climb transformations anymore is because Blue is the best marketing, and especially was when these episodes were airing. SS3 is prob because animators couldn't even fathom drawing that much hair. The manga utilizes SSG SO MUCH BETTER than this anime its crazy.
