I laughed so hard at this. DSP has a gift in turning brief, mundane (and often acceptable) explanations into long-winded, insane diatribes. The man really needs to interact with the world once in a while.
It's just like the direct capture excuses etc. all over again - when someone disagrees with him he feels compelled to rant for half an hour about why he is definitively correct about everything, even when it's obvious he's just pulling justifications out of his ass. 'Because I like doing it this way, sorry if you disagree' is a perfectly good response, but when you've turned a critical comment into an argument you need to win at all costs, it just escalates into bullshit like this.

Nobody said wear a suit. The least he can do is get dressed in the morning. If I weren’t leaving home but streaming, I’d do my hair, makeup, put on a nice shirt, jewelry. He lives like a teenager.

Though you know damn well that when he does get dressed he'll say "guys look I got all dressed up, so I would appreciate some more support for all this extra effort" or something along those lines

StrawmanSydePhil again here; no-one is expecting him or asking him to wear a business suit on stream, but instead to perhaps consider tidying himself up a little and wearing some clothes that give off a better impression. If he decided to swap the only outfit he wears on stream (a gaming shirt and pyjama pants) with something more conventional and a little smarter, it would take away some ammunition from detractors laughing at his appearance and show that he possesses a morsel of respect for his audience and himself.
But of course not. Funny how a 40 year old supposed "business" owner, who probably makes about as much money as an average suit-wearing businessman, is allergic to wearing anything that isn't a shirt designed for 15 year olds or cum-crusted pyjama shorts.

I work form home and I wear the same clothes I would wear in public or to an office. It is just a good way to get yourself into working mode. I realize that not everyone who works from home has to do this in order to be productive but Phil just does not care. never has
Indeed, this is also why I have a dedicated 'office' room at home, and even occasionally when doing phone interviews with recruiters, I will put on a full suit just to sit at home. It's a mentality thing. Which says a lot about why Dave dresses the same way a 12 year old on summer vacation dresses at home.

I know the reason for this. He exposed himself the one time that guy did a massive chargeback on his day off the other week and he went on stream on his day off. He went on stream and he was wearing nice, brand new looking clothing to which he said "as you can see I didn't even plan on going on stream today, I am not even wearing my stream clothing". He caught himself!!! He wears the same 5 tshirts with pajama bottoms as the shirts look gross and disgustingly old. He can cry poor "look guyyyyyys *snort* i cant even afford clothing. Don't you want to help with muayyy hour bills?"

Markiplier, Pewdiepie, the other ones he dismisses as children's entertainers and clowns, they take the time to put pants on. There's a difference between dressing casually and acting like you crawled out of bed without even bothering. He puts jeans on, when he goes outside, so the same standard should be for streaming, since both is putting himself into the public eye. When you're off the public eye, you can walk around naked if you want. In the public eye, there are standards.

There was a guy in his 20's at my old job that would wear his pj bottoms all day every day unless he had to wear PPE so I started calling him Jammies, so did everone else, After 2 weeks of 25 guys calling jammies he started wearing joggers, so we started calling him Joggs. A week later he wore jeans and we quit bugging him, maybe if people start calling him jammies he'll either blow his lid or put on some real pants.
