    Haha I constantly kept thinking of these cubes as I saw them before somewhere else. So it was you who did them! :D
    Great job and very nice tutorial.

    You're a great instructor! Slow enough to see what the hell is going on, not too slow as to drive someone insane, great explanation as to the functions of each option. Thank you very much.

    Hi Dimitris, could you share how to add more Bump or Normal for this kind of wood. I think they a too smooth if compare with real wood. Thank

    It only work with Physical render. Are there any solution for vray for C4D? Thank

    What Version of CInema 4D did you Use in this Video because i have R13 and it doesnt show up with the Same wood Texture

  • @danrusso
    @danrusso Před 6 lety

    how can you save that wood texture, so you can apply it to more organic and/or customized items?

    • @marvelousdecay
      @marvelousdecay  Před 6 lety

      You can bake it and the just re-use wherever it's needed

  • @NicolasGaillard
    @NicolasGaillard Před 8 lety

    Real nice ! Where did you get this wonderful bump texture ?

    • @marvelousdecay
      @marvelousdecay  Před 8 lety

      +Nicolas Gaillard Thank you! It's a self made texture.

  • @andreashoyer4662

    Thanks, this helped a lot! Is there a way to move the center of the rings?

    • @marvelousdecay
      @marvelousdecay  Před 8 lety

      +Andreas Hoyer yep you can do it quite easily by just moving the shader around with the the texture tool. It's on the left hand side of the screen where the axis tool is.

    • @andreashoyer4662
      @andreashoyer4662 Před 8 lety

      I tried that (the one with the checker pattern) and didn´t work. I may have changed the UV settings (cylindrical) - the wave patterns changed but the center remains on the same position. I´ll review your settings in the video and will try again. thanks a lot
      Oh and by the way, based on your tutorial, I have made a great wood material - works like a charm. Thanks again!

      Jaco Crafford Hey guys. Sorry for the super delayed response. The wooden blocks scene is available in R18 content browser. It's in the Prime Library -> example scenes -> wood shader.

      Oh thanks man! This video has been a great help btw, I instantly got much better results. Thanks!

    How did you do the imperfections and the scratches in the last scene? 9:04 That's the only thing I suck at for now.

    • @marvelousdecay
      @marvelousdecay  Před 7 lety

      Hey there! It's a simple texture in the bump channel. That's all there is to it!

    • @Metalovai
      @Metalovai Před 7 lety

      Yes, I realize that. However I'm asking if you made the texture, and how if so. Thanks for the asnwer!

    • @marvelousdecay
      @marvelousdecay  Před 7 lety

      Yes the texture is made from scratch. Basically it's taking images and taking out all the other information out and just maintaining the information you need as black and white. Really simple to do but a bit more complex than the couple of lines available here. Will try to explain it in a future video. Sounds good?

    • @Metalovai
      @Metalovai Před 7 lety

    is it possible to download the shader / Scene?

    • @marvelousdecay
      @marvelousdecay  Před 6 lety

      The scene is actually available in Cinema 4D's content browser.

    How much wood could a woodchuck chuck
    If a woodchuck could chuck wood?
    As much wood as a woodchuck could chuck,
    If a woodchuck could chuck wood.
