@@BriansRCStuff this heat has made it impossible to do much testing. It was 102 here today with a 112 heat index. I think the injected plastic are gonna work better than the aluminum piece we tried to make, there just isn't any give in that piece and there needs not be a little so there's no stress cracks or busted gears
@@RCrepairAndBuilds Sounds brutal! I am going to try to go out in the morning and run my Bandit but it is has been pretty hot here too. Heat index was 105 today with a dew point of 78! Just nasty. It will be slightly cooler tomorrow but I will get out at like 8AM where it isn't as bad....
I have got stuff 3d printed online before (if there is a file) and was shocked how many different options there are for plastics. I would think one similar to the stock motor mount could work well... not sure what that would be.

Great tires for changing the over all gearing and control ballooning but not a tire/wheel combo that looks very good on this truck. Those Turnigy lipos are awesome for the $. Hope you had a great 4th of July weekend brother! ✌🏼🏁🙏

I dont own the 2997a but i have the esc and motor in my 16889a pro. Cant get a manual for the 2997a without paying for it.. stupid.. but been asking people if the differentials are the same as the 16889a or the 16890 ? If so they would be able to take 3s a little better?

The 2997a Lisa listed as T2123F for front and T2123R for rear.
The 16890a is listed as just M16822.
I do not have a 16889a but I think it may be the same as the 16890a.
Have you had problems with your differentials? Knock on wood, mine have been good.
@BriansRCStuff yeah it's the drive cups . They don't stand up well to 3s, neither do the .60 mod pinion gears I got from amain. But I think the 5900 kv motor was just too much for the pinion gear. Was thinking of swapping out the diff cups or just using the 2997a diffs so that they might handle the 3s better. I put the stock motor back in for now the 5900 was just destroying everything haha
@@eliflynn7282 oh, I see. I probably don't drive mine nearly as much as you do yours and I don't hammer on the throttle from a start (I am always afraid something will break). My cups do show some wear though a lot of it is from the stock motor. I do runt he punch at the lowest setting for my ESC which may help a bit.
I would think the 2997 diffs are different/bigger but I am really not sure/never compared them side by side.

@@timmy4539 Yes, that is my understanding as well. I don’t think it really is a big deal for speed runs but when you’re jumping at it is harder on the car. Also, when jumping the chassis might not be able to slap the ground so the suspension will take all of the Impark which can be much harder on the car!

@@timmy4539 I did speech to text and my previous response had some errors in it. Sorry. Also, the bigger tires are going to be somewhat harder on the car if you’re mashing the throttle and such… And of course it’ll tip them over easier, but I did lower my car using nitro fuel tubing set a height, probably a similar to stock or maybe even a little lower.
