    This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. czcams.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

    You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice czcams.com/users/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

The occasional appearances by the Foreman and the Supervisor are adorably-perfect little moments so that they don't distract from you and your work. I also like how you are able to roll with the punches and correct uh-ohs on the fly; you are clever in that way. That out-feed table has GOT to be the fanciest one of those ever made! It could easily be someone's kitchen island. The hidey hole is perfect for hiding gifts and surprises from family. Great work. Great channel. Great human!

    Love that Harbor Freight table saw and the outfeed table is 101% perfect, the extra 1% being awarded for running those MDF strips across the length of the top. Obviously you designed that to give adequate support under the miter slots at the edge and bind together the seam in the subtop. It was nice of you to pretend to have made a mistake though. That harbor freight tag was the best. Informative video with such a function table. Ever heard of an air sled for moving heavy stuff? We used one to move a dentist chair on a remodel..super hand if there is a flat bottom surface. Or put it on plywood and put the sleds under that

    love this project. I'll be stealing this framework design and making some mods to it. Instead of all the drawers I'll be adding more dust collection to the table and mounting 3 router lifts. Turning the outfeed table into my router station will help me better utilize shop space. Keep making great content.

    I appreciate your use of the mitre saw! I come from a construction background and can never understand why so many woodworkers choose to cross cut timber on their table saws or break it down with a circular saw 🤯 Love your vids - keep them coming!

    • @JasonBreslow
      @JasonBreslow Před 2 lety +4

      Answer is that most miter saw blades deflect when you’re using them. Especially on a sliding miter saw when the slide is fully extended. When that happens you don’t get as accurate of a cut. Not really a problem in construction, but for fine woodworking…every millimeter matters. He’s using a Festool, which is like the Rolls Royce of woodworking tools…so he can get away with using his miter saw for accurate cutting. Most of us can’t afford them, so we use our table saws with sleds to get really accurate cuts.

      @@JasonBreslow Great explanation. Makes sense. But Most wood workers have table saws that cost $1000+. Sawstops, Laguna, etc, are all $3000+. They can likely afford a Festool or good Makita miter saw. But I get your explanation. Personally both my miter and table saw are both under 500 each. I personally love the miter with stops for multiple cuts. But I'm no wood worker. Just a pretty experienced garage worker. :)
