I know Ms. Gryphi and OshinSims have videos making spaces with this pack, although I haven't watched them yet. Ms. Gryphi tends to have busier, brighter spaces more regularly though, so I am guessing she also embraced it. Just in case you wanted some more options to check out :)

I wouldn't make my whole house maximalistic, but if I had like a walk-in closet I would definitely make it that style and take pictures there all the time.

For me, this pack is exactly what the Sims is about - being able to express yourself in so many different ways. I’m not sure i’d have the confidence to go for maximalism in my own home, but I do love the aesthetic!
Don't think of it as needing confidence, just style your house in a way that makes you happy! Growing up, we definitely had a home with a more maximalist style even though my mom is also kind of insecure about people's opinions on the house (mainly if it's clean enough, but I feel like maximalism has crossover since a busy space can just look untidy). Honestly, though? Literally anyone who ever saw the inside of our home always _loved_ it, and I think it is largely just cause it reflected our personalities and looked like a comfy, happy place!
In short: go for it if it makes you happy!!!
Facts and same if I ever do go all out it would be with the garden or backyard
i actually love this kit. i especially love the colors and the patterns (those walls!!!) i think it’ll go really well with the vintage glamour and paranormal stuff packs tbh.

Exactly, I feel like a lot of players I watch with this always go for more minimal designs... And then complain that it's "too much". That honestly upsets me, it's supposed to be an EXTRA kit with fun colors and not another minimal pack.
This is probably some of my favourite decor the Sims 4 has ever released. So vintage and versatile for the type of builds I like to do!
James is hilarious. I can imagine him thinking, "Man, I really don't want to start up my computer for this build... Oh! I know, I'll make deli happy by engaging our Sims but also build us a batuu wedding temple. Batuu!" He's probably laughing in another room knowing she found out.

I absolutely love this! And it would be so crazy to see a HUGE mansion with lots of rooms as filled with things as possible, like the owners are super extravagant hoarders but with good taste!
I wish I could find more builds like this, but the closest I've found is the Maximalist Victorian Home by Jessicapie.
This style just screams 1960s! Which that year was so cool because people dedicated their homes to hosting parties. The furniture and lighting is super sweet!

This isn't my personal style at all, however I am working on a save file and I have a few sims in mind that would definitely vibe with this style of furniture. And I do love the wainscoting that was added! I can see myself using those quite a bit.

That's great! I really didn't think I'd want that kit, but having seen the items I can totally see myself using some of them.
Deli your positive enthusiastic energy creating the Maximalist apartment was extremely enjoyable to watch. Even though this style is a bit ‘out there’ for many, and often misinterpreted. You were fully in the zone, letting ideas flow (of future builds) and showing us YOUR take on ‘decor to the max’ adding more extravagant cool objects & plants.

Next I'd like them to take the interior framing on the paneling and just have top and bottom trim. That way you could use whatever wallpapers you want and match the trim so it all goes together.

I love maximalist Eclectic decor. Especially jewel tones and metals. I was even looking at chairs like the one that comes with the kit for my IRL room. I wanted it to match my velvet green couch and that lamp omg gorgeous.
I love this anesthetic. If I could afford it, I would have a home like this. I have a ton of mix and match colors and textures in my living room via throw pillows, wall art, dining chairs and rugs. But the walls are beige so it's not overwhelming. If I could, I would love to have a vibrant feature wall.
I love the style that had come with Movie Hangout and this gives me a similar vibe - over the top colorful pieces - and I love it!!

In my opinion.. Best kit so far. Really feels like we got a lot for our money this time (especially compared to the first stuff pack) This is INSANE!! And as you said, most of the objects are very versatile and can be used in lots of more "plain" looking homes. I absolutely LOVE this!
A Thrifter I love to watch is Laura Caldwell. She is a Maximalist. She uses a ton of Mid-Century Modern, brutalist pieces, art work, & pottery. Everything in her home is thrifted. She was originally on The Recycled Life with her bestie if you want to check her out. She does a great job styling Maximalism. She has her own CZcams channel now.
To me maximalism is like an alligator: I find them interesting and I can appreciate them from a distance, but I wouldn't want to be in the same room with them.
I absolutely love this kit!!! It goes so well with the Vampires and Paranormal packs, and I’m using it for my Victorian style houses. I also like how it works with Blooming Rooms.
I feel like the vibe with the wainscotting could be super cool with the half-paneling/ half-paint walls we have in the game and would give the look of the wainscotting having paneling on the bottom!!!

I totally agree. I thought I had just liked this kit...but...this so has inspired my new eclectic Victorian home...the mix and matching of the different items help to build a home story...I so wanted to live there, so having my sim-self test it out and make sure it is playable...having to do a little more moving around, but having an absolute blast...this kit so has inspired me to do a generations thing, everyone can have different pieces that will be "passed down" in the family...my imagination is just going nuts! LOL
I made a restaurant with this new kit and I love it!! Like deli said just have fun! Don’t think too much… have fun and enjoy it’s the SIMS!! express yourself and enjoy!! 👌🏾👌🏾
This might be my favorite items they’ve created like, ever. I love them all so much, I’m my daily life I’m more minimalist but this appeals to me as a player so much.

I love this pack. I don't do maxamalism, but I love having some of that over the top designed patterns in the middle of minimalist stuff. Like statement pieces.

Early deli in the Barbie LP days did such cool boho houses for some of Barbie’s kids!! They were always my fav. I remember this tree house style one she had and 🤤
I absolutely love this kit! The floor lamp is one of my favorite items. For me, it's the ultimate Boho style. It's what I've always had in mind for Boho anyway.

Oh wow, I was fully expecting to not want this kit at all but Deli really showcased it well. I can definitely envision some of these items in a classic period piece mansion, or branching out of my typical play style with an over the top sim. I hope all the items are expensive too.

From what I see of this kit, I think it could pair nicely with Vintage Glamour.
Some of these items look like they could be from Vintage Glamour but you can pretend that your sim did a custom paint job to add a fun pop of color in their homes.
It is a current popular trend to refurbish old/vintage couches and dressers, and this kit gives me those vibes!
i like this type of style, i especially love & appreciate the peacock they added from the Netflix series Inventing Anna, think is so iconic.
I think this kit works really well for having a statement piece in a room. Like, you wouldn't HAVE to make the entire room wild and crazy. I could see myself taking like, the side table for example, and designing a room around that piece.

When I first saw this pack, I got major Greenbrier vibes!
The Greenbrier is a hotel in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Bethesda used the location in Fallout 76 & called it The Whitesprings!
It kinda makes me want to buy it just to build a Greenbrier type build 😂

Maximalism is absolutely my personal style but I’m too broke to realize all my dreams in the real world so I’m really going to enjoy using this kit. I have some sims who are going to use the heck out this kit because they live in a huge English manor house with a strong gilded age aesthetic, that flowers and birds wallpaper is going to look amazing in the formal dining room and the peacocks in the drawing room. I can see that this kit vibes well with the paranormal pack, movie night and vintage glamour, you could create a medium’s parlor, a boho lounge, an Art Deco penthouse or a gilded age mansion.

I would definitely use many of those objects, but probably not together in a maximalist style. I'm loving the soft pinks and greens.
I love this! I think it goes with movie hangout, paranormal and vintage glamour too and also a lot of pieces from city living! Right up my alley
I use those frames to frame a mirror or use them as a makeshift room divider, with either a half wall behind it or by itself. I would line them up and then knock out the half wall, that is after I hang a couple of hanging plants on them.
I didn't think I was going to like this pack, but you know what? I'm digging a lot of that. I think you're right about it being really versatile. So far, I haven't picked up any of the packs, but this just might get added to my list of packs to get, because I can see myself using a lot of this, even though it's not something that would normally be my style.

maximalism to me is like Howl's bedroom from howl's moving castle, it's a lot of fun, colors, patterns, and feels very retro to me. It makes me think of like a 70s or 80s glamour style. I love this kit, I love having more patterns because where I do like solid colors I HATE minimalism because I can't stand having a ton of space that's being unused.

I am working on the room size generator challenge and I got the kit yesterday and Ive used it quite a bit already. I love color in rooms and this kit gives lots of color...I'm loving it!!!
With the wainscoting, you need to treat it like a wall art piece and click off of it (I usually click somewhere in the world) and it will immediately go down when the wall is down. Some will stay up if they're close to a corner or something, but most will go down right away. :)

I like how you pointed out how well this works with some of the cultural stuff like the garden oasis kit because that was exactly my thought... traditionally in a lot of cultures maximalism was the way of showing off. Plus this pack seems full of interesting statement/accent pieces, so even for spaces that aren't maximalist, you can have a room that's just that much more elevated.
I definitely like some of the items, just not sure how often I’d use them. Also fun thing, simsie put those molding pieces on the big plain windows and it looked really good to make like custom windows

i know most creators are upset with the idea of kits but the more they come out with them, the more i like the idea. i do like that the intention is not for people to buy all of them if they don’t want to, they’re niche in a way that the user decides. BUT all of this…for $4.99??? honestly that’s a pretty awesome deal.

Lol I love how keeping the kit items as a base allowed you to unleash Maximal Deli. I’ve always noticed you go for a more streamlined, modern and sleek approach in your builds but it’s nice to see you give yourself the license to go all out using items I just know you’d never ever use in a normal Deli home. Please do create a fun apartment where there are no rules and no limits :) Would love to see that.
I got this kit, the first reason is that tiger pillow sofa hhhhh but yes, I like all the items from it and I love most of them. I think this is that kind of style you either love or not.
And I think the design of the carpet is tiger's tail. Which is so cool
