So glad you all reacted to Agust D’s ‘Daechwita!’ Cannot wait for you to hear his 2016 song called ‘Agust D.’ Just wait until you hear his flow on THAT one.
One thing that is great about SUGA is that he writes and produces his own music. This is one of his huge masterpieces. This guy also produced the ‘Over The Horizon’ ringtone for Samsung in 2021 and 2022. Other artists have won awards from songs he produced. This man is a musical genius.

I forgot to mention that last year (11 months ago), he produced a song for PSY (Who is known for Gangnam Style song), called ‘That That.’ It was something totally unexpected from SUGA. it was a lighthearted comedic song. SUGA was also a feature. Must check it out. His versatility and duality is amazing.

You HAVE no idea what Suga had to deal with from other rappers in South Korea. He was given a horrible time about being a KPOP idol. KPOP idols are not considered to be hard core rappers. BTS broke the mold on that concept. Being a KPOP idol opened up the door for him to make his own music. Watch the explanation video about this song. He has woven so much into this. Including some Korean history. Daechwita is the music that is played when a king or kings army is entering or passing.
Not sure if it’s right to say bts broke the mold cuz 2nd gen kpop did have underground rappers too(zico Jay park 3rd mino bobby?)

@@harika_9399 they did break the mold because while there were idol rappers, they were looked down upon by the Korean hiphop industry. BTS’ rappers were educated in hiphop and their music aimed to be more in touch with hiphop. No other idol was like that. They weren’t taken seriously, but they broke the mold of “idol rapper” because they were real hiphop artists and they became the standard in the idol industry.

He is mostly quiet and laid back guy. But you'll surprised when he perform in the stage specially when he is doing a solo.

If you will notice the people that were kneeling are head banging with him in the background when he is head banging. And have you ever heard not to bring a knife to a gun fight? This song has a very deep meaning in so many ways.

The more you get into BTS you will find out all the hate and s*** they have been through ( AND they still get all that crap🤬) and yet they are all humble, respectful and awesome human beings. With this track Suga took tings and really showed his skill, but with the MV he stepped into the cinematic stratosphere. It's complex, sophisticated ... and very Korean, with multiple references to Korean myth, history and culture. It's absolutely fine to make and enjoy your own theories of the events shown, most of us try. But with this one DKDKTV have an "Explained by a Korean" video which is extremely well done and is absolutely worth watching all the way through - I strongly recommend you take a few minutes and see it. . DKDKTV have a number of Explained by videos and all are top notch.
If you need a song to wake you up and give you inspiration, Daechwita is the song. The first scene of the video, the King looking over a courtyard of headless bodies. He's obviously been taking heads for a while, like Suga/AgustD with his rap skills. "Berserk tiger, Gwanghae flow Born in a ditch but rise up a dragon That's the way I live". Suga uses his legacy to come up with the unique & interesting bars. (AgustD is Suga backwards and the D.T., stands for Daegue Town, Suga's home town)
In case you don't know it, Agust D is DT Suga spelled backwards. DT stands for Daegu town which is Suga's hometown.

When peasant AgustD was walking thru the village at the beginning, he exchanged a look with the village butcher - the butcher is also the king's executioner. They had made a deal....So when peasant AgustD was supposed to be executed, instead of cutting off his head the butcher/executioner cut the bonds around his hands, freeing him. Then the butcher/executioner handed him a gun and peasant AgustD walked up and shot the king. The symbolism is that a more grounded and simple AgustD is doing away with the grandiose, fame-seeking AgustD.

The person who becomes king is the suga before the change. The other person is Suga's changing personality. Of course, if the royal period had continued. The name of the weapon used in the video is Army. Suga says he changed because of Army.
