I know it doesn’t take 3 months to get this answer, but just for other people in the future. Watch at 1:16 . He takes out the quick release. It’s a simple bearring system. Lift up on the ring and the wheel slides right out.
@@raidacaipo Obviously this is a really late reply, but for anyone who checks this later, the thin flat ring is to allow a ground connection for the horn. This is what customer service indicated to me today when I asked about it. I received two of the same in my package. A third and smaller, thicker ring with one section cut out is to prevent the horn button from rotating once installed. That smaller, thicker ring with the single cut goes inside the cavity with the wires. I will just leave this info here for anyone who looks for it in the future.
Waste of time watching this trash, how you gonna install a hub kit on your steering column without connecting the wires like the SRS resistors and horn.
Their QC is probably spotty, but that's what you get for the price. My first one was tight for years until it got stolen. The one I bought to replace it has side-to-side play in it that the first one did not. Hopefully #3 is better.
Thank you so much! Yours is the only video I found that showed the installation of this model. You just made my day Sir.
I don't understand why they don't show the horn wires being connected.
those who install a quick release usually don’t connect the wires, wouldn’t be able to take the wheel off regularly
@@jadenpage_wrxt There are pin contacts on the quick release for horn and other utilities i.e comm button on a race car and it doesn't affect wiring inside the wheel. Don't spread stupid information
it's just a female connector you connect the horn and quick release
Because it's the easiest part that needs no instruction.
@TurnMaster mind giving instructions?
You didn’t connect the horn? And what’s that aluminum ring for?
Horn button retainer ring.
@@JoshQuillwhat does that do?
@@TitusLinkthat’s your ground connection
Soooo what are the metal shims & the ring with the cut in it for???? Anyone know?
I’m here for the same answer lol. I just got mine in the mail and was hoping they’d show them in here
Thats what im here for too 🤣
That’s what I was wondering

So what are the gaskets for that come with quick release?
Hmmmm would you give up buttons on the wheel for a quick release?
Would I be able to sleep with my steering wheel if I get this?
No way to make the horn work with this video.
Hard to understand when you have music blasting 😂

the handle he pushed to get the quick release, same way to get wheel off
Bunk instal vid how are you gonna not show the connectors being hooked up that’s the only reason I watch this
Literally 😂 same 🤦♂️
Can you install this on any car?
Yea the only thing is you would have to get the specific hub adapter (first thing he installed) for your car
What's the setup for a 2000 VW Beetle? Is that the universal 6 bolt pattern or is it a proprietary pattern?
Doesn't the quick release already have a hub ?? Just wondering
Nope
No
No u have to buy it seperate
separate
can i get it for my 06 s80 volvo??
The part that game with the screw the flat circular silver thing, what is it and do I need it
It's a retainer ring to hold the aftermarket horn button in place
This should only be allowed if you use a racing helmet because no airbag
And or a harness so you physically can't head butt the wheel aha
Why do you remove the pin and spring?
Are they universal set up’s
My NRG short hub Allen bolts are stripped, (at the short hub with steering wheel removed) what size and or where can I order replacements? All 6
can i install wheel directly to hub or i need quick release
roki buča the quick release is totally optional, so yes you can directly connect the wheel to the hub adapter
can you put any steering wheel with it.
Yes, pretty much any 6 hole steering wheel will bolt right on
Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery? Or?
the stock airbag may work and pop out LOL
@@maxliu1151 understandable
Pulling the fuse to airbag or srs should keep it from going off
Noooo the ding!!!😥😥😥
TikTok ruined the dings, before it was good but TikTok ruined it
U guys didnt even use the silver metal ring piece that came with the set up so what the hell is that for??
At 1:14 in the bag with the screws

Where can I buy these parts for my 2004 BMW z4 3.0i
Hey did you get it installed ? I drive the same car as you
@@AlejandroRamirez-ve4xm yeah. Horn works and everything. I don't have paddle shifters though
Can this hub be used on all e46s
It's universal so it can fit any car even sh*tboxes
so. I already have the steering wheel and the hub In stalled I don't have to take off the hub to install the quick relase right ?
Whats this song
Do you have to buy quick release separate
Yes you do. The quick release is universal, but the hub isnt.. you must check to make sure it fits on your car.
Rip that airbag
Does the horn and turn signal work ? Does the air bag light come on ?
everything should work just fine just make sure you get a resistor so the airbag light doesn’t come on
can you use the original steering wheel?
That would be funny
Can you send me a link on a set for my e60 I’m looking but not to sure about it ??
Its legal Or not ?
Yes , no airbag
How can I buy

are the hubs universal??
All these bmw installs with no instructions on horn wiring smh
Where i buy it ?
Will this work on a 2007 335i?
Yes. You will need 3 parts. The e90 nrg hub adapter, the quick release hub (in video), and a wheel of your choice (6x70mm bolt pattern)
Do you need the hub to install the quick release ??
Yes the hub is more of an adapter than anything then the quick release bolts up to the hub
mk4_marc the quick release mount bolts to the hub . The quick release locks into the mount
You didn’t show any of the shit you need to do to hookup the horn or any of the supplied parts. This was not helpful at all
Which hub would I use for an 86 300zx?
Warriorwaffle79 there universal
