  • I went on the ferry today from Oslo Aker brygge to Nesodden.
Nesodden ferry is Norway's largest car-free ferry service. Almost 3 million passengers travel annually on Norway's busiest passenger ferry route between Oslo and Nesodden/Slemmestad.
The route between Aker brygge and Nesodden is called line B10 Nesoddtangen.
Norled operates this route in collaboration with Ruter.
The Nessodden ferry has been operated exclusively with electricity since 2019.
The local ferry to Nesodden leaves from Tingvallakaia at Aker Brygge.
The distance between Aker brygge and Nesodden is 47 km, which takes 15 minutes by ferry.
The passengers are mostly people who live there and work in Oslo, they travel daily.
Nesodden is a municipality in the Oslo region in Norway which from 2020 is part of Viken county and still belongs to the Akershus constituency.
The municipality is located in the landscape of Akershus and was part of Akershus county from the Middle Ages until 2020.
It has over 19,000 inhabitants (2017).
Nesodden municipality is located on a peninsula with the Oslofjord on the west side and the Bunnefjord on the east side.
The municipality has sea borders with Oslo in the north, Asker and Bærum in the west, and with Nordre Follo in the east. In the south, the municipality borders Frogn.
I got to the Nesodden harbor Nesoddtangen.
Nesoddtangen is a settlement and the administrative center of Nesodden municipality in Viken.
The settlement has 13,189 inhabitants as of 1 January 2022.
About 2/3 of Nesodden's population live here, and the settlement is well within the fifty largest in Norway, and among the ten largest that do not have city status.
I went there to film the view of the sunset on the North Sea for you today.
Hope you will enjoy these incredible views in this video.

I had to back up to see again! The first little dog had boots on! 😍
And I think, when I come to Norway, I should put my curls under a hat? Just imagining the knots I would have if I sat out in the wind with my hair like that flag, as some of the passenger. My hair is a good bit longer than yours, Elsa.
Vashon Island in Washington State is the same way. If you take the ferry from Tacoma, there’s really nothing to see at the other end on foot. To see the little town on the island, you need to have a car, or go all the way into Seattle (about an hour by car, longer on the bus) and take the ferry from downtown to the northern end of the island .., where you can walk around and see shops, etc.
The shore on the ferry to the south end of Vashon Island looks very, very similar, too. The landing point ahead, the houses on the hill to the right … enough that if I had not seen the beginning of the video, I would have thought it was the Vashon ferry!

What is this here? Is it for firewood? 34:21

      was not a tent?!

    • @schoolingdiana9086
      @schoolingdiana9086 Před rokem

It’s shaped like a Native American tipi but it’s made from wood, instead of animal hide.
In the U.S., a tent is made from waterproofed canvas cloth.
Is it to cover firewood? Or perhaps a child’s play house? I’ve never seen one made from wood like that before.
