90 leaf was my favorite for that year. Bought a set and ripped tons of packs.
Nice design on the 1990 Leaf cards . Interesting to see Sammy squaring around for a bunt, when one considers he developed into a homerun slugger .
For sure. His game certainly did evolve, huh?
1990 Leaf is my favorite baseball card set of that era.
Definitely a great looking set that helped change the hobby.
I bought 1 pack of leaf that year got the Thomas only card I kept out of the pack still have it 👍
That's awesome. Great batting average! :)
That Thomas Leaf Rookie was the hottest card in the hobby, bar none, for quite a long time. Too funny to think .... in 1990, that Thomas card sold for around $65. Today, it’s a $40 card. Also In 1990, a 1986 Michael Jordan Rookie was around $400. Today? Closer to $400,000. Yeah. Picking the right player and card matters!
For sure.
I've tried for years to open a pack of score and get that Bo Jackson and still searching but I will win the war!
Enjoy the hunt, and good luck!
I've got a afew bo Jackson's. Upperdeck, topps, donrus, fleer.. 89-91,about those years
It would be great if your company would show the back of the card✌️
1990 leaf was first pushed by Dave Justice and Kevin Maas
I do have 7 sammy sosa error cards from his rookie time. 1990..
One of these days ill get that Leaf Thomas.
It's a classic. Cool card.
@@WaxPackGods Im down to pretty much that one card for Thomas rookies. Just added the yellow border 1990 Classic to my collection :-). Where I grew up we did NOT have the selection of packs that it seems other places did. Finding 1990 Leaf was not easy lol. I only got a few packs then, I did get a Griffey but no Thomas.
@@ctcards2636 Ah, you probably only had Series I packs in your area. Series II was tough to come by (at least here in Indiana), and that's where Thomas was. Nice pick-up on the Classic!
@@WaxPackGods Yeah I think your right. We had such a limited amount of brands and cards to choose from. We did have a place called Hot Corner near Storrs CT that had cards. But they were more of a vintage pack place. My brother bought a pack of 1984 Topps Football there and he got a Marino Rookie card ! Crazy. But new pack wise they had Donruss, Topps etc. It took in our area til 92 to have all the other brands like Stadium Club, Leaf, Fleer Ultra etc.
Let's talk I have one I'll sale you
