    Bjorn; I have two questions which I check youtube but couldn't find relevant info about Anchor links. As you are a coder, you may enlight us.
    1ST: "how to make anchor links from a drop down header menu" . Okay here is a scenerio. We have a one page website that made with Gutenberg or Elementor and we have a header menu which have few drop down menu pages. How can we make Anchor links?
    2ND: "how to make anchor links from footer menu to top". I believe ton of people curious about this one too.

      Default browser behavior is to turn the blue links purple when they've been clicked. If you're using buttons or changed the link colors in Elementor the default behavior wouldn't work. But if you have some CSS chops you can use this help page to code a custom CSS solution: www.w3schools.com/cssref/sel_visited.php

      Yes, I've tried Elementor hosting service. In this video (czcams.com/video/U0_PMB_yJYA/video.html) I built a website using Elementor cloud (hosting). I don't have any data on how reliable it is, but it is expensive. Much more expensive than a good shared host like Siteground or a good dedicated hosting Cloudways.

My problem is instead instantly jumping it scrolls down (too much scrolling) and how do I fix it where it doesn't scroll, but instantly jumps to the recipe? • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  Před měsícem

      Good question Ali. Where you place the anchor text on the page you're jumping to is the place where very the top of the page will scroll to. If the page is scrolling too far down, then you'll have to move the anchor text up higher on the page. It may take some trial and error, but keep moving the anchor text around and you'll find the right place.

      If you use absolute links in the menu buttons it should work. For example, the link in the button could be YourDomain.com/Page1#Section. That will take you to that section on Page 1 no matter which page the menu button is on, even if it's on Page 1.

    Excellent video, thank for sharing. I never actually built links like this and always wondered how you get to a specific part of the page after clicking on a link. Now I know.
    I do have one problem though, I am adding hypertext links and after making the link live, the text in the editor actually converts to an underscore, so we have missing text with an underscore in place. I have never experienced this in Elementor. Would you know how to solve this ?

    • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  Před rokem

    • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  Před rokem

      Hi Philip,
      I don't know off the top of my head, but my feeling is you can't. The filters are built into the gallery widget. But the filters are being applied to a CSS class or ID that you can find by using the Inspector. Then you can apply your own CSS using the CSS field in Elementor Pro.

    Hi - I want to create a jump link that selects a particular tab in a set of horizontal tabs on a page (or accordion for that matter). My efforts so far just take me to the first tab every time - won't select, say, the 4th tab. Any tips?

    • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  Před rokem

      You'll probably have to use JavaScript to detect when that particular link with the anchor is clicked. The link click will take the user down to the section you've anchored to and the JavaScript will change the state of the tab or the accordion to open the one that you want. The JavaScript isn't complicated, but it'll be a challenge if you're not used to coding. There will be lots of code examples if you Google it.

    • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  Před 2 lety

      Hi Michael,
      That'll happen if you have a sticky menu system that comes down the page with you. The easiest solution is to put the anchor a little bit higher on the page. I don't have any JS for that handy, but I'm sure if you Google it you'll find lots of options.

    how to do keep the link from opening a new tab to the link page?

      Hey Brian,
      The method shown in the video should not open in a new tab. If the HTML a tag has the attribute target="blank" then link will open in a new tab. So you'll need to take out target="blank" or if you're using Elementor or another page builder there may be an "open in a new tab" option that you have to unselect.
      I hope that helps!

    Hiya, guys! Thanks for the vid. Good stuff. 🤗 However, could you enlighten us on how to interlink different sections of the same page (so as not to carpal-tunnel the Customer from all the scrolling 😁)? Interlinking different pages is easy-peasy but is there a way in Elementor to hop from one section to a specific other within the same page (like in glorious Wix). Many thanks in advance! 🤗🌹

      @@wplearninglab Hi! Thanks a lot. I saw that one, however I am not referring to the standard WordPress Editor, which is actually highly user-friendly and self-explanatory ;) Unfortunately, I need to edit this page using Elementor - and not the Pro Edition either (how I miss Wix and its free editor that runs just as Adobe In-Design & God intended 😉!!!). Thanks a bunch in advance for any pointers!
