- This is the Mercedes-AMG GT S and what a car it is! This 4.0 litre twin turbocharged V8 503BHP supercar will get from 0-62MPH in just 3.8 seconds and go onto a top speed of 193MPH. This noise of its mighty engine is orchestral and its speed intoxicating.
We road test this beautiful £110,000 Mercedes-AMG GT S supercar to find out if it can live up to the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
Beauty and the beast in one car, perfect......and this red, i love it.
At first I wasn't sure about the red but with the contrasting black details it really grew on me.
I want this car, come on lotto numbers.
+Mr Ortega I played the other night hoping my number would come up... They didn't unfortunately :/
Inside Lane you and me both mate, back to working overtime :-)
@@mrortega468 you'll never get it working for someone, start a side business don't give up

Absolute perfection!
+stavura Stay tuned! It is in the running for our Car of the Year. We announce our winners in December.
Waiting for the GT C. Cant wait!
Great video, my folks have just bought a SLK 250d from the Poole branch of the sandown group it's in the same red and looks beautiful.
We are picking it up today Friday 9th August 2018.
Yes I would love to have the Amg but sadly it's a million miles out of my budget
You remind me of Dara Safvatnia
Brilliant review, brilliant car!
Thanks!
I love it too
+Ajaydeep Singh It is an amazing machine!
This is my car, the colour... everthing
The same specification or actually this very car?

+Ilisha Mas Good call. Keep us posted with how things go.
how much did you save LOL..... and dont forget to deposit for oil and insurance bro
Did it live up to your expectations? Thinking about buying a used GT-S. Any advice? thx
Really good review indeed!👌🏽👌🏽
it does sound even better than my c63 estate
2:24 best part
Which car would you choose according to Handling,Performance, and 😄Traffic?
Jaguar F-type R AWD or Mercedes AMG Gt S?
+JoshFancyPants Good question. I haven't driven the F-Type AWD yet, but I would say the interior of the AMG is better and so arguably that would be best for traffic. The AMG, as the name suggests, is a GT car. F-Type is more of a sports car and so it handles a little sharper.
So the Amg GT S then?
+JoshFancyPants If it were my own money, I'd have the AMG
I wonder how it would stack up against a slightly moded M4 performance wise. Beautiful car either way, love what AMG have done with it
+Powaup A more hardcore variant coming soon with a Black Series due after that. Can't wait!
It would destroy the M4 in every way
Just got one and i love it.
And you are watching it on you tube....
Georgous car
Superb car...
Great video, Inside Lane! Thank you for being a Mercedes-AMG enthusiast! [Fuel consumption combined: 9.6-9.4 l/100km | CO2 emission: 224 - 219 g/km | amg4.me/Efficiency-Statement]
Wow! Amazing that the official AMG page has seen this. It is a great car and deserves all of the praise it receives. Likewise for the C63 Coupe.
This shits on a 911 sorry Porsche guys but these cars have so much more to offer
Hello Inside Lane. I'm 6'6" (198 cm) tall. Only weigh 200 lbs, though, so I'm not bulky.
Would I fit? I hear it's tight in there. I don't fit in some cars, but fit in others. No GT S models in my town to try.
Hi. I'm not that tall, 5'10" so it would be hard for me to say. My taller colleagues didn't mention anything about not having enough space.
Hey SeerTrulth, I recent sat in an AMG GT at my local Mercedes dealer while getting a service and I fit quite comfortably. I am only 6,3 but had adequate head and legroom.
Thank you, IL and Liam! I'm excited!
SeerTrulth I'm 6'4 and I fit fine in my
One
is the color hyacinth red?
It is indeed.
No rear seats?
not for old men :P
It's nice but the release of the McLaren 570S takes away the limelight of the AMG.
You think? Personally I think they are aimed at two different types of people. One is a mid engine sports car with the other being a GT car. Would be an interesting comparison though.
+bongmistt I purchased the AMG then a month later the 570s got released and I was thinking the same thing however upon sitting in the 570s at a recent motor show I can safely say the 570s is to small (im 6.2ft) and not as premium inside as the AMG and then there is a sound difference. Sure the figures 0-100 figures are higher on the 570s and it probably looks slighty better or at least different however i'm not un happy. If it was the 675lt it may be a different stroy
+Brad Wylie Great choice in the AMG GT. Question is... Will it win Inside Lane car of the year?
0-100 = 8.1 !!
WT..
kram namwen No way!
Stop taking hands off wheel, appalling driving habit, and totally unnecessary. The whole point of "paddles" is to enable you to keep both hands on the wheel.
Keep two hands on the wheel while driving, flapping them about adds nothing to the video, it just demonstrates bad driving habits !!!
Buy a corvette instead
+Gitonga Mwaniki Not really the same car. The AMG is a more luxurious product.
Inside Lane but corvette does 0-60 in 3 seconds flat and has a touch screen.... I mean that 0-60 time is incredible. For a GT I'd save up to buy either a db11, California t, or 911 turbo s.
Yes but the Mercedes is a much higher quality machine than the Corvette. I would 100% rather live with the AMG everyday.
Inside Lane okay let's talk $200,000 price range. Your options are huracan, Ferrari California t, bentley continental gt, Mercedes s class coupe, McLaren 570s, Aston Martin db 11 and 911 turbo s.. Which would you pick? Assuming you'll buy another 1 in 5 years
I have been lucky enough to test all except for the DB11 (hoping to get one soon) and from that list it has to be the 570S. Very rewarding car to drive.
