Hi Inna, I just came to take refuge in Italy, my husband is Ukrainian and he continues there and we are expecting our first baby. Отче наш is the first thing I learned in Ukrainian and it is the only one that sustains me at the moment. Thank you for your Ukrainian course. I am learning it very well so that I can later speak with my husband in his mother tongue. We also pray for U.

I heard today there have been 10 million refugees from Ukraine so far. I hope some of you can come to our town. I live in Michigan, USA. I started learning the Ukrainian language when the war was a week old. I hope to learn enough so I can help refugees feel welcome and cared about when I (hopefully) get to meet some of you in my town. I want you to know your teaching is helping others even in this way across the world. You are making a difference right now even though you are trapped in this horrible situation. You are so important and you are giving hope and life. Thank you for all you are doing. May God protect you.

Hi Inna my name is Orest. I recently bumped into your channel, I'm having a revival of sorts. This situation we're in, the whole world is in, has brought me back to my Ukrainian roots. I live in Montreal Canada, my parents immigrated here in 1949 after the 2nd world war, Stalin and Hitler were the crazy tyrants at that time. In the mid 60's, to preserve their culture, my parents had me and my sister attend Ukrainian school on Saturday mornings, participate in Ukrainian dancing, learn musical instruments, sing in Ukrainian choirs and a host of other activities. As time went on and being on my own I slowly began to drift away from all of these connections to Ukrainian culture. To make a long story short, the recent events have rekindled my desire to revisit my mother tongue. It's all in my subconscious somewhere and every time I watch one of your videos it's like I know what your going to say so I say it and then you say it and then the connection in my brain is re-established... I guess it's because those sounds are the first ones I heard when I was a young child, when my parents spoke to me, this whole experience is quite fascinating I find. Anyway, thank you for being so clear and concise in your videos. You are really a knowledgeable and a an excellent teacher.
Now on another note. I know you are under great stress with this recent occupation, what a horrific situation. It's time for courage and to be able to move quickly if need be, to be detached from things for the moment. This terrible time will pass, Ukraine will not fall, the tyrant behind these atrocities will fall as they all do and his country will pay a heavy price for generations to come. They will have to repay for all the destruction and death they caused and Ukraine will rise up again like the phoenix in all it's glory. We are with you and pressuring our governments to do more, I attend weekly protests with other Ukrainian Canadians marching for an end to this illegal invasion. We replay the sirens at all our meetings to remind us of your immediate reality...you are not alone. I send you my love and prayers for a quick resolution to this situation and leave you with these words of wisdom from one of my favorite philosophers:
"The only way to handle danger is to face it. If you start getting frightened of it, then you make it worse, because you project onto it all kinds of bogeys and threats that don't exist at all.
The rule for all terrors is head straight into them. When you are sailing in a storm, you don't let a wave hit your boat on the side. You go bow into the wave and ride it."

My wife and I have been praying for Ukraine every day many times. I signed up to learn Ukranian and can't wait as your videos have consumed my free time so thank you. I know someone said to focus on teaching and save the war talk for the blogs but I disagree and pray their hearts and softened by the Lord now more than ever. We always want the updates to know how you and your husband, your friends and their families, and the people of Kherson are doing!

Many thanks for this beautiful video! I have just quite recently started learning the beautiful Ukrainian language, after having wanted to learn it for maybe 10 years. I may not be a Christian (though I still very much respect the religion and everyone's faith! I may be more... Pagan agnostic, or something... Ja ne znaio... [sorry, I haven't installed a Ukrainian keyboard on my PC yet... only on my phone), but I still pray for Ukraine, and I will meditate to this video and memorize the words.

I am praying with you as I have some extended family who are in Ukraine and some have fled to Poland. I may take your courses as I am trying to learn the language myself. I use duolingo right now but there's not a whole lot of one on one help there. I try to practice with people in church.
