Islam is strong and that is how he gets tko and submission wins, but if olivera can use that and adjust in the fight, he can either submit or tko him.

I've been watching MMA for 20 years. I've never been so excited to see a fight as I am for Charles and Islam. This is a real fight fans fight. This is the fight your favorite fighter wants to see the most. This is an INCREDIBLE stylistic match up. I love both of these fighters.

Islam is more well rounded fighter then Khabib ... Khabib was all about the ground game & his strength is what made him beast. Islam can strike with the best and his grappling is elite.
That's what Dariush is saying without actually saying it that way, as saying so would be seen as a "slight" against Khabib the undefeated champ.
But Benny is right: while both are next level wrestlers and grapplers (Islam and Charles have exactly 43% sub wins each), Islam is so much more well rounded, he is able and willing to do normal stand-up for long stretches until he finds an entry angle; and then as Benny said, when he goes for it, chances of him taking you down are very high.
Khabib, on the other hand, has exceptional erratic movements and a good jabs; but literally every microseconds he's moving on his feet, it's to set up his chain wrestling. He either pushes people toward the fence and then clinch or lure them there back himself moving there.
He doesn't take you down the first attempt, okay, no problem. The next one comes right up in the next few seconds or so, etc. He knows it; his opponent knows it... so the opponent is ALWAYS in a defensive mode, even as they strike out, because it knows the moment Khabib's ready, he's diving again for your wait or legs. And he will, as he himself said it, do it 100 times if it needs to bring you down!
That's very exhausting, more mentally than physically, for the opponent, even if Khabib doesn't take them down the first few times, or at all (like the rare case against Tibau).
But in the ring only Khabib rules.
No one controls opponent like Khabib does.

Yeah that's the first thing I ever noticed about Islam. His striking was way above Khabib's on their debuts, and later fights. Khabib's striking did get way better though.

I really found out about Islam a couple years ago when I saw him wrestle with state champ chase saldate an absolutely rag doll the shit outa him. Knew he was the real deal after how he man handled him. I had seen him an heard the name, but never knew the depth of his skill set. He is different.

Oliveria is way more dangerous at submissions and fighting off his back. Depends on what you mean by "grappler". Islam can get people to the ground easier, but Oliveria uses strikes to get people to the ground. He knocks them silly and then takes them down and chokes them. Islam is going to have to worry about Oliverias striking... it's a lot better than people think.

Both have improved their strikes, Charles probably has better striking. Islam has crazy takedowns (defense too), if he can hold control and strike on the ground about nobody right now can beat him. In this fight compared to others of his, he’s facing perhaps the most slippery, talented, and unpredictable grappler and bjj specialist . Islam can for sure take him down but Charles has often shown to find a random awkward position and make a submission out of it.

I don’t really like Olivera’s fighting style because he just put himself down. He is so confident about his fighting skills and techniques which though will affect the way the fight goes. I believe Islam on ground is a lot better ( personal opinion) but he can also make mistakes. They are both good fighters and both deserve RESPECT ✊

On their feet Islam is so calm and has so much control. The only key Oliviera had against most of his opponents was the ground game; but now this option is almost really locked and more turns now against him 'cause Islam is better on the ground than anyone in the division.
Let's be honest guys and a little bit out of feelings; Charles has 90% of loosing that fight. He has to pray that Islam makes a big mistake so that he finishes him in the case with all control Charles is loosing for sure.
