Yeah but khabib and Conor was an exiting drama fight, but I think most people expected that khabib would go out there and just maul Conor and sure were there some fanboys who thought Conor had a chance of sleeping him? Ofc that will always be the case but this fight is different. You’ve got islam and khabib fans who think he will win easily or for sure and then you’ve got Charles fans who think otherwise but at the end of the day, unlike the khabib Conor matchup nobody really knows how this will play our. Both of these guys biggest strengths their opponent has the perfect counter skill. Islams wrestling Charles has world class bjj and lethaplll ground game, and same with Charles grappling, islam has great control. Charles has great stand up, very lethal in the clinch and at distance and islam has amazing striking defense so this fight could literally go either way and both guys have the skills to win this fight

Oliveira is more than a fighter. In my eyes, he's the most inspirational as well as exciting champion in the history of the UFC. Especially if you're aware of his background story. He's not just a champion, he's a hero in every sense of this word.
Dude fought 28 fights before he got a belt. And along the way set the record for submissions, Charles is a future hall of famer. He has the most heart I've seen in a champion, most champs fight safe to not lose their belt. Charles always goes forward!

Khabib was able to just walk down people and then charge in on them for the takedown and control them the whole fight seemingly with absolute ease. Charles walks forward for sure, but he gets Dropped, literally most of his fights he's getting rocked. Luck can only take you so far and one day very soon one of those shots that Charles keeps eating will land him with CTE (probably already has) and a knockout loss.

Islam is not like Dustin or Justin that won’t take the opportunity when Olivera has been dropped. His ground game is better than there’s. Nevertheless, this is an exciting matchup and props to both fighters for getting to the level their at.
I think Charles' aggressive stand up is tactical. His in the pocket aggression creates the chaos where his opponents might slip and make the one mistake needed for Do Bronx to capitalize for submission etc

I can see it going either way, but the fact of the matter is Islam has to get through Charles striking BEFORE any grappling can take place and I just think that gives Charles the advantage. Islam got worked over by another tall lanky guy who threw a lot of knees in the Barnaoui fight. Albeit that was a long time ago I can see a similar thing happening.

Both great!: Islam is so much like khabib and has seen and learned how to give an opportunity to the opponent, and use it against them (i.e. khabib giving his neck to Dustin.) Charles has weathered many storms and lost a good amount. Islam was caught once and I think his one loss will stay at one.

That is a an important difference between Oliveria and a champ like Israel Adesanya, or how Jon Jones got. Israel and Jon got overly-tactical which still wins, but was significantly more boring. People are always going to gravitate to the champ that is willing to put himself in danger and still win. And while this is a sport, it’s also a business. Excitement matters
CTE matters also, which is something Jon Jones, Israel and Khabib & Makhachev are well aware of.
