    The 2 piece pedestal came on pickups but was more common on f650 and international 4700 cab and chassis vehicles.
    When the ipr is not functioning properly its common to see stand pipe damage from overpressure. If the pintle is jammed in the ipr you can easily blow a brand new seal. I experienced a van that kept coming back and I replaced the orings several times and they just kept failing. I swapped the ipr, replaced the stand pipe oring and it was just fine after.
    The 2 piece mount came on 0304 trucks with the 10 blade turbo. Later trucks were equipped with a 14 blade turbo for 05 06 and 07.

    I got one that has me stumped currently. 6.0 ford, had to jump in morning, drove 45 mins started missing, had to be somewhere nursed it a few miles before it would barely get going off the start then kept loosing pedal/ power. Rough idle and a 3 & 8 injector contrib. Code. It would clear out in neutral while giving fuel but as soon as I would shift to drive want to die out couldn’t move. Still has even crank, no fuel bubble or issues with fuel to secondary. Ipr is within while cranking, icp same. Swapped ficm, no issues swapped back. Batteries are on chargers and full but sounded weak and drop to 9 during crank. Starter gave out right after. 🤷‍♂️. If not running tomorrow plan on pulling motor and putting back up trucks in. If you have any ideas I thought it was fuel related swapped with new pump. No recent engine work. Radiator looks like it’s starting to go, blow back out of cap

      @smallhandsgarage9290  Před rokem +6

      @finnmccool4943,
      Yes, that is correct. Most of all the Hot no-starts, come from O-ring problems with Stand Pipes, Dummy Plugs, or Injector D-Rings.
      On this one, it was having a sudden shut off, with no-start, at a certain temp (around 197-199 *F degrees). Shut offs are not common with o-ring problems. And it also had an IPR code, for open circuit, which would only arise at that temp.
      IPR ended up being the problem.

      @apolinarponce4506,
      Yes, in very few cases, in the 2nd generation 6.0's, the HPOP can be the hot no-start. These have a better design then the early generation 6.0. It tends to be O-rings that cause these problems, more often than not.
      And in very few cases, like in this one, it's the IPR that looses it's 8nternal circuit at a certain tempature, caising this Shut down, with no-start once hot.
      On older diesels that have mechanical pumps, that is more common to see, a hot no-start from an Injection Pump.

The clutch fan shares some wires with the sensors in the transmission, so when the clutch fan goes out it causes the voltage to drop drastically and in return the sensors in the transmission start acting up. Since voltage is shared between the two unrelated parts. It's a bit more complex than that but that's the summary of it, so that you can understand it.

    That 6.0 SUC'S ! The 7.3 was a much better power plant that lasted way longer & had way more power ! If U put that 6.0 under stress for long periods of time U ' ll see what I mean & the turbo's have problems !! 😡
