Love I've never been to me. A small backstory about this tune. The tune was actually recorded in 77 and sat in Barry Gordys vault until Motown was sold to MCA in 81 ! The first time Gordy heard the tune he was UNCOMFORTABLE with aspects of the Lyrics also Charlene was a blue eyed soul act, A risky proposition for Motown. I love this tune and too my knowledge this is only one of three, Charlene, this version and a cover by Marylin Mcoo. With slightly altered lyrics!!
