    Great stuff as always. Got a question. I have a DS-7204HUHI-K1/P box with three colorvue cameras on coax. When I set up ‘line cross’ I can only do it for 2 cameras and if I try to do it for the third one it says out of resource. I guess this is a limitation of the box? If so is there a way to update the box or is it a case of getting a better box? Thank you.

    • @CCTVSystemsUK
      @CCTVSystemsUK  Před rokem +1

      Hi Hugo,
      That's strange as the HUHI version usually lets you have 4 line crossing events. Only the HQHI is pegged back to 2.
      Double check that you've not got any 'Intrusion Detection Zones' set up. These would count against the four higher functions that are usually available on HUHI's.
      P.s I believe the last firmware update for this DVR was "Build 210705" and there are a few pieces of special firmware around for 3K and 4K compatibility.
      Hope this helps.

      @@CCTVSystemsUK - thank you so much for the reply. I really appreciate your time. I’ll have a look at the firmware number and see.
      It does make sense that you should be able to have four as it has four cameras. I don’t think I’ve got anything set up other than 2 line crosses and one camera just records. But I’ll check.
      Again - many thanks.

      Hi,
      Am I right in thinking it's the menu on this Hikvision DVR that is different to yours?
      What about this: czcams.com/video/YCqcM6Vogdk/video.html
      Sorry I know it's an old video but, is that what your menu looks like?
      The link is for line crossing but, is very similar to Intrusion.

    Hi, thanks for your effort. I was wondering if hikvision's acusense dvr's target classification VCA features will work with third party TVI/CVI/AHD cameras and non acusense hikvision IP cameras?

    • @CCTVSystemsUK
      @CCTVSystemsUK  Před 3 lety

      Hi,
      I can confirm that Hikvision Acusense DVR's do allow the higher functions to work with other coaxial type cameras.
      This is because the Acusense technology is built-in to the actual DVR itself, so does no need to be present in the camera.
      Unfortunately I have yet to see the higher functions work on any other IP camera but their own.
      This is because protocols are never the same between manufacturers and never will be, because big manufacturers never share their toys.
      Hope this helps,

      Hi,
      I'm sorry, but the firmware / GUI on this video was for the previous Acusense HVR. The (B) series.
      As you have an M2/S. This means it's the newer (C) series. The (C) series GUI is modelled very closely on the Hikvision NVR GUI.

    Why on my dvr (ids7204huhi k14s) can't I do motion and intrusion together?
    It says I have to disable motion dection before I can do intrusion or line crossing!

    • @CCTVSystemsUK
      @CCTVSystemsUK  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi Simon,
      The resources of the machine can not be stretched to be used for human or vehicle recognition on both motion and intrusion / line crossing.
      My advice would be to use the motion in its basic form "without human / vehicle."
      I say this for two very good reasons!
      1, Intrusion and line crossing for humans / vehicles is far more accurate and adaptable than motion, eg, sensitivity and loitering time.
      2, Both intrusion and line crossing can be used on the same camera simultaneously. where as motion for humans and vehicles can only be used on its own. It prohibits all other uses of this key piece of detection.
      So my way works better as you can have two layers of protection, instead of just one.
      Hope this helps,
      Regards,
      Paul

    Hi. I have the same dvr. I have set it up watching your videos thank you. The only problem I’m having is; I hear this static background noise on mobile phone app which is very annoying. How can I get rid of it ?

    • @CCTVSystemsUK
      @CCTVSystemsUK  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Mehmet.
      If the camera that you are watching does not have a built in microphone and there is a static type noise just follow these instructions:
      1, right click and then left click on camera at the top of the screen
      2, then left click on video parameters
      3, On the left hand side you will see (Main Stream and Sub-Stream) tabs select the cameras that don't have a microphone built-in on both and change 'all' the stream types under Main Stream(Continuous) and Main Stream(Event) to video only and apply.
      This will stop the DVR sending 'ANY' audio at all. This will include that static noise.
      Also left click on 'storage' on the top of the secren and you will land on the 'Record' screen. Click the 'advanced' tab for any camera that again doesn't have a built-in microphone and un-tick 'Record audio' and apply.
      This will also stop the static sound on playback.
      Hope this helps,

      Hi Vicki,
      Don't worry my dear. This is perfectly normal. The red light flashes as the HDD memory is under load Eg: 'while recording'. The white light will flicker less frequently but, for that very same reason. Because the DVR is 'writing' onto the HDD memory.

    • @CCTVSystemsUK
      @CCTVSystemsUK  Před 3 lety +1

      @@vickistevens779 Hi Vicki, yes just about any mouse will work in these DVR's. We supply a lot of wireless mouse's from half a dozen different manufacturers when installing these units so that people can control their CCTV systems from the comfort of their seats and they all work fine 🙂
      The only note of caution i would throw in is that, when we are called to DVR's that are 'playing up', usually because of a faulty HDD memory. We often see that the cursor for the mouse has either disappeared or, has become stuck in the position it was left the last time the system was used. Again this is usually a faulty HDD.
      Other than that you shouldn't have any problems my dear.
