Kwikset Smartcode deadbolt sticks or doesn’t extract FIX

As of October 2019 I looked all over CZcams and did not find one video that would help me with my particular issue. After contacting the manufacturer, I have the answer so I decided to make a video for you if you have this same issue. Sticky or does not extract deadbolt issue. Your video helped me. It's a different process for my lock, you hold the program button and then tap it, instead of holding the lock button, but once I got it to align itself, it's smoother than ever. Thank you!

I wish I had seen this a week ago. I just replaced my lock for this reason. The new one also did the same thing. With your help I was able to correct the issue. I believe my old lock could have been corrected the same way. Thank you.

I am so grateful for this how too. I gave up on my sticking lock a year and a half ago. I just decided to take another look on CZcams for a new how-to and I found yours. Lmao… this is in the owners manual.. already tried this and several other things.. so I’ll continue to do what she said I wouldn’t do, and keep watching more videos.. in the mean time the company is sending me a brand new upgraded model for free. So do what I did.. not her, call the company. And they’ll warranty it out. 🎉
