Kwikset 914 will not master reset

I've been kwikset 914 that has been giving me some notification issues, I thought this would be a good time to attempt to master reset and start over. I have tried this locked unlocked and several timesoh, I can never get it to do a master reset.

Take the battery out.press the button once.hold the button down while reinserting the battery don't let go of the button for 30 seconds

Take the battery out first press the button, then put the battery back in while still holding the button for 30 seconds. After the light flash release the button when the red light flashes twice press the black button again.

I put the lock in the unlocked position and that worked for me

Wrong button. Its the one on the left.

I believe the button on the upper left hand side is the A button. The program button is the bigger black button in center that say "program button" next to it. Right?

I did the reseat it worked once I put the cover on now it’s not working at all. I’ve never seen a light behind the A button 🤷🏻‍♀️
