I've had one of these for four years and run it practically every day for 5 months of the year which means charging it every evening and often topping off during the day. It has been an incredibly reliable battery giving my Voilamart front wheel 36 volt 500 watt bike a consistent range of easily 15 -20 miles running hard to fairly hard. If I do moderately pedal assist I can reach 30 miles easily. After some 500 charges or more it still charges up to 41.2 volts (42 is 100%) at last full charge. I bought it in 2018 for $240

Hey i got this battery but i dont know if its charging what does red and green dots mean
green means its charged red empty in between its half full or half empty.
DIY TEK NUT oh I actually realized this later on and that the brick charger has a light on it that tells you if the battery is full or not which is cool also

God yes you shorted the charging circuit burnt out the ballence board . the batteries inside will still be good .

if you had a place to store a second battery in case you get a little out of range, and feel safer going farther.
MissouriOldTimer yeah can put cargo rack on and put one on that, then with peddling I would probably get like 75 miles .

New off eBay has gone up in price. China is well known for selling items cheap to create demand and then slowly increasing price .
Thing is 200 is still cheap for quality cell battery pack, if not make your own for half the price.

@@techgeek2994 Ask around your area maybe someone has experience with building ebike batteries ? Could save some money AND learn something if lucky.
Be careful with batteries. If you've ever seen the battery fires there's ways to prevent it. Never buy an aftermarket charger. Never buy a really cheap battery without a BMS in it that will save it from burning when you're charging it don't charge it too long like I did in my garage for a week cuz I thought it was going to turn off but I hadn't aftermarket charger and $500 is gone until I fix it. Man was I stupid don't be stupid like me. I think they're not telling us but batteries are getting cheaper and they're going to have LiPo 4 batteries that don't burn really soon for the same price. Of course they want to dump off these batteries and not tell you that's what I'm thinking cuz there are a few out. And the solar generator has them that I have. Within a year they will have LiPo 4 batteries in bikes
HaiLong 1 or HaiLong 2?
They are both great batteries but the first (which is getting hard to find) has a slight tendency to cut out very briefly when you go over a nasty bump or pothole due to the design of the connection with the holder. I would still buy the first Hailong battery if it was cheaper as the issue has never bothered me and really does not slow you down.
