    Looks good buddy. I’ve been thinking about joining Tuff Shed here in the North Florida market. Your videos help out a lot.

    Are you building for tuff shed, i really enjoy your videos. Fantastic job.

  • @joseluishernandeztenorio7213

    How long did it take you to build this? From Pickin up the shed to heading back home ?

    • @ChrisSilverman
      @ChrisSilverman  Před měsícem +1

      Typically, starting at 6:30 it takes 30-40 minutes to load onto my trailer. Maybe an hour to hour 30 driving, sometimes longer. This size shed in the video takes on site usually 4 to 4 1/2 hours and then the drive back home makes for a 8 hr day. Usually I work 6-9 hr days every now and then less and once in a blue moon a 12 hr day but on site actually installing takes between 2-7 hrs depending on shed type and sizes

      @@ChrisSilverman and what happens when for whatever reason you can’t complete the shed? I heard you said you had one door handle missing! You have to go back for small stuff like that?

    • @rm1979
      @rm1979 Před 4 měsíci

      what ever.. Dont use carpenter schedule. handyman is fine. the height is the killer. these sheds are under the threshold for personal health insurance. you can sign your own waiver . as long as you can prove coverage for yourself.. no liability to the home owner. same with the Bond.. two types.. from what i know. their property damage and any damage to the build.

    Hi I am planning to start building in jersey, they already emailed me but I have a cargo van sprinter high roof
    9feet long inside and 6feet tall
    Do you think those sheds fit in there ?because I am not planning to get a trailer

    • @ChrisSilverman
      @ChrisSilverman  Před 4 měsíci +1

      No, the sheds wouldn’t fit inside. They would need more space

    what kind of fasteners are used for the decking platform?

    • @ChrisSilverman
      @ChrisSilverman  Před 6 měsíci

      Tuff Shed uses 3” self tapping screws

    • @gregk.8247
      @gregk.8247 Před 6 měsíci +1

      Are they just regular self tapping flat head screws or the kind that drill through the plywood and then self tap breaking off the wood drill bit portion? 3" seems kind of long for 3/4 decking into 26/29 gauge metal

    • @ChrisSilverman
      @ChrisSilverman  Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@gregk.8247 The 3” self tapping screws are what they use for fastening the wall through the 3/4” floor into the metal joists. For the 3/4” flooring to the joists they use 1-1/2” sheet metal screws with a square drive flat head.

    Do you prefer to work alone or is it really just a one man job?

    • @ChrisSilverman
      @ChrisSilverman  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I usually work alone just because it’s easier for me to not have to coordinate with a helper. Most of the small sheds I can do solo.

    Is your trailer a 16' with dual 3500 lb axles? Do you have a complete tool list you use?

    • @ChrisSilverman
      @ChrisSilverman  Před 8 měsíci +2

      I have a 18’ car trailer. I don’t have a complete list of tools but I think I need to make a video listing out all the tools. Tuff Shed has a list they give onboarding installers but I’m going to plan on making a video about it.

      Great! Thanks for the reply. I have reached out to Tuff Shed for more information on their installer website. I still need to get the LLC and insurance all setup, as well as get a trailer and few of the other tools. That video would be an awesome addition. @@ChrisSilverman

      Yes the pay rate is still the same. I average $10,000 monthly with a range between 8k and 15k. The summer months are busier and I’ve gotten up to $15k one month. December and January are slower and I’ve gotten as low as $8k.

    13,000 steps?? over 200 feet from materials is an extra 75$ ?? seems a little lite. Wonder who the sales person was on that.. Sales people are the worst type in the entire process? why? BC most are clueless about the "Actual" labor process.
