That opening song. It is kind of dark, but it is also one of the most wholesome things I've ever heard. Just a song about how the father will be there for their kid, even when they can no longer actually be there. Even when the universe ends.
I kept thinking it’d suddenly slide into something morbid, but the fact it’s just beautiful singing about the undying love of a father is just woah! 😱
Well, the funny thing is, without the 18+ warning, there WERE people who tought Hazbin Hotel was for kids, and thats why they had to add the warnings to make sure everyone knows that, its not because its a cartoon that it is for kids

There were actually some who decided to watch her cartoons with their kids, or kids just watching it on their own. I've actually seen a kid reactor or two who had videos reacting to the pilot of this one. o_o
Where are the parents amid that?! Why not check a cartoon before letting your kids watch it! It's just incredible to me.

this isn't ye old days anymore. there are plenty of cartoons for grownups and I can't really see someone not at least being aware of this at this stage in our internet world. Like even if you've not seen any yourself. You should've at least seen like Bojack horseman while scrolling Netflix
Interesting theory floating around Stolas is in an arranged loveless marriage you get a hint of this by the line in the song "i used to think love would be fun" and by the fact his wife is pissed off that he cheated on her with an IMP because they are lowest in hells hierarchy so she's only worried about her status and "YOU ARE A EMBARRASSMENT" and by how Stolas tries to explain himself but can't plus Stella and Octavia aren't close you can see this by the pictures in her room and the one in their kitchen Stolas lovingly holding her and even though Stella is smiling has her arms crossed and at the start by how she calls both her parents but her mother couldn't be assed to get up and the scenario of her dream her father leaving her alone this fear as you see she carried that fear into her teenage years.
So yeah I personally feel sorry for Stolas nobody should be trapped in a marriage but because he's royalty he has no choice but despite that he adores his daughter you check out his Instagram daddy hoot hoot its a gem.
Oooooh that makes sense! I was wondering about how much their status affected things. My best guess was they were just a bunch of rich people that needed to keep up appearances while the marriage had clearly failed.

I love all the little animations that go on with Stolas when he's trying to explain to Octavia what's going on in the funhouse. So much attention to detail.
I love FNAF, but that devil clown was created by Viv quite a while before it was released. Most of the characters were, even if many have been altered. Love your reactions btw! :D
I mean Alastor was created when she was like in middle school or something if I remember correctly, and he obviously went through a lot of changes since then.

I have watched so many reactions to this... I watch it to see the reactions to certain parts but so far no one has noticed the angry imp family covered in vomit after the roller coaster, almost no one notices the petting zoo dragon in the same scene, and only about 1 in 4 get "the Heavens wrong with this" joke
Seeing Octavia go from kid to teen, gave me an idea that she had to have met Charlie/Helsa(the "loser" from her song).

This will suffice to put an end to my binging of reaction vids to this ep. I must have passively algorithm-slithered into at least a dozen of these, but this is by far my fave. You're an intelligent, perceptive, and expressive dude. You've got an authenticity. You pay attention. You appreciate the details. You're not afraid to pause the video and give yourself time to react in the way a brain actually reacts, with wild leaps and associations that happen in a split second but take a paragraph to explain. And yes, you got the reference; that's quality. But then you pull this flex move where you vibe with me on the goofy movie vibe that's in the back of my brain every time I watch that scene. Like really, that wasn't necessary, I was already subbing, calm down.

I know it's just a generic gunshot sound, but Blitz firing the gun at 16:13 sounded a lot like the gunshot sound in Bloodborne to me, if not identical.

Oh I know about him, I just think the show still strays far enough from what Solomon wrote for it to be considered “gospel”, sorta like the Left Behind series, while somewhat accurate to Revelations, isn’t how the story really goes you know? 😁

I also believe in demons. Angels, too. And I definitely believe that the real thing is nothing like Viv’s portrayal. That’s the thing, though, these shows clearly don’t take themselves seriously (not in that regard, anyway), so it’s not hard for me to do the same. I do occasionally see ppl making comments where they seem to be taking Viv’s world as informative or critical to real world Christianity, which…honestly makes me very worried about the critical-thinking skills of some viewers.
Oh yeah, definitely there's folks who can't think for themselves. When the "Left Behind" books came out, a series about some folks who were left on earth after the rapture, people thought the events leading up to that rapture in the books was biblical. It's crazy!

I understand the very...I'm trying to word this right. A bit questionable, but I found most people when watching it don't understand that all the parking spot stuff is just an excuse for Luna to have her development and an excuse to see her character shine threw. That's why everything is just ridiculously packed in with no real logical reason for the competition.
If nothing else the only purpose for the plot to be like that was for the purpose of seeing the father daughter relationship between Blitzo and Luna. Which being just after an episode with Stolis and his daughter. It's supposed to let us see both sides of the two who are seeing each other. We see that there's more to both Blitzo and Stolis besides the affair. They both are fathers of teenage girls who want to be treated as adults in their own right. They both care for their daughters but their habits distract them from listening to their daughters. Plus, in the second episode we learn that besides the affair there are some things Octavia and Blitzo have in common. I think the episode was slightly distracting from this and at the same time gave us a better idea of those of IMP and those around them in the work place.
