People say this every year the past 3 years and half the teams get injured. It really just comes down to who's healthy. Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Davis, LeBron James, Steph Curry, Giannis, Kawhi Leonard, Devin Booker and/or Kevin Durant will all get injured and miss significant time.

Just feels like there's a lot at stake for so many teams and players right now. It's also clearly a transition period from the previous era to the current one and the adjustment is getting awkward because players are competitive for longer. Also big trades and very exciting rookies. There's simply a LOT going on

As a Lakers fan, we *need* to lock in this season. This season is our last real chance at another championship since we don't have any picks until 2029, so winning isn't just a priority it's a necessity. It's a good thing that management made sure the team is well constructed and under manageable contracts, though I am a little worried about the new load management rule regarding stars and national TV games as I think this hurts LeBron and especially Anthony Davis more than any other pair in the league. So, our role players need to be willing to step up in big moments and be a balanced team.

I think you’re forgetting though that AD, & most of the players on the roster signed contracts/extensions so they’ll be here a while + with Bron off the books (most likely) next year that money can be used to pick up another All-Star/Potential Superstar to pair next to an already good team, no?
There’s actually age restrictions for back to back so lebron get exceptions with those rules
Bron won’t be affected by that rule because of his age so we’re good on that front.
I just don't see how the Lakers win the chip unless they get pretty lucky. They're contenders yes but they're still solidly below 3 or 4 other teams. I don't see how they're getting out of their own conference unless the Nuggets really regress or get injured and the Suns fall apart somehow

While I want Curry to win his fifth ring, this is the end of the list. Giannis still has years to go (he's still in his prime, can win more) and needs to prove he can win as COVID is over and a lot of players entered health and safety protocols in the Bucks' championship run, Kawhi has to prove his health and availability, KD needs to prove he can win without Steph (but even if the Suns win, there will still be an asterisk because he joined Devin Booker and elite scorer and all-star Bradley Beal). Jokic still has years to go (no asterisk for his recent title). Embiid needs to prove why he deserved the MVP.
Headlines will be made!! Games will be remembered!! And legacies will be established!!

Whats so refreshing about the nba 3 out of the previous 4 seasons is that no superteams have won the chip they have all been homegrown or just 1 superstar. Kawhi-2019, Giannis-2021, Steph-2022, Jokic-2023, with that being said, I have Jokic winning again for a repeat.

I want the Warriors to win this year before the core break up, but I think Klay's contract will be renewed with the Warriors. Curry winning his 3rd MVP, 5th ring and second FMVP would cement him in top 10 all time (he's top 10 already in my books but not everyone puts him in top 10 all time). Imagine the shortest guy making in the top 10 all-time without extreme physical gifts like height or leaps yet revolutionized the game is saying something already.

If there's one thing we learn every season, is that the preseason champions are almost always not the NBA champions at the end of the season. Nuggets vs Bucks is what we're all expecting, but no season is perfect. Injuries, close games, upsets, etc are all factors that change our expectations. The only time the NBA was very predictable recently was that mid-2010's era of LeBron vs the Golden State dynasty.
Miami lost Gabe vincent, A key figure in their playoff run last year, and didn't really get anybody in the meantime besides Jaquez while the majority of other teams have added a lot to their rosters. It also seems as though Butler hasn't been holding up to the numbers he put up early in the playoffs. I doubt Miami will make it to finals this year.
