I adapt the semi organised chaos. Multiple tool boxes, one for regular maintenance, others for more specific maintenance like brake bleeding and hub servicing and one where I'll find any other tools i may need (hidden at the back of the shed, in the harsest to reach place)
Long term organizing where things just go back on the same place has always been my things, sort of an organized chaos but I can pretty much go get my things from any drawer without ever thinking about where each of them is stowed
My dad is definitely the second one, then he asked me to go look for something he memorized where it is, but no one else knows. I can never find it, so he ends up having to go out in the garage and get it😂.
Organize. And when any job is done I desperately rush to the garage to put everything back in its place. At times I started the next maintenance job straight away without putting stuff back and couldn't find anything cos tools were all and the house
It's when the two meet and the disorganized A wastes everyone's time because he puts nothing away on the job site and 6 people are looking for a tool the one lazy A couldn't put back.
I'm a mix of both. Starts out good, goes to pot
I save time, by not having any tool racks and just having one *BIG* pile of tools.

Organize it once . Everything had a home then it's straight to where you know it is and saves time and stress
I don't organize my tools at all, I just remember where I put them last. Pretty efficient to be honest.

I am the third if I organize I can’t find anything but if I don’t I am a pro at finding things.

My grandpa never organized them but remembered exactly where all of them were. He never spent more than 2 minutes looking for something.

I got tired of losing and replacing tools so now I organize. When you organize you know if something is missing

I have so many various tools, I built a 26×50' pole barn just so I can make huge piles of tools. I probably have the world largest unorganized toolbox
