The fact that I think most of us, me included, can’t settle on one model is the absolute genius of Victorinox. I don’t know if it was intentional on their part but I think even if you could have them build you a knife that you designed I still wouldn’t be satisfied because sometimes I like the cellidor and other times Alox. And even though I like the backside tools nothing beats the snap of those 93’s! It just makes life fun trying to decide on one haha. Most of the time it’s my Blue Farmer with a red cellidor Rambler.
I've had a Motorist model since the late 1970s. The file is worn smooth, the scissors are dull, and the awl is blunt. The blades still feel like they're brand new, though. But I'm not sending it to the factory for rejuvenation. In 2000, I retired it and bought a Spirit multitool. But I missed having the knife. My favourite now would be the Deluxe Tinker, but I came across a Swiss Champ on sale for 2/3 the price of the Deluxe Tinker. Couldn't turn it down. It's huge, heavy, and looks a bit silly in an office. But it is so useful I can't bring myself to let it sit in a drawer. So I carry the Spirit and the Champ. Then I wonder wy my daily pack is getting heavy...
Spirit X with the Compact (or Explorer,or Climber,or Alox Electrician,or Super Tinker,or even Tinker) are a much better and lighter combo! I choose Spirit X with the Explorer for Urban edc and for the outdoors,111mm Rucksack or Alox Harvester.
I have a nice collection almost all new knives ... I have found for minimalist EDC a Bantam in my pocket and a Rambler on my keys will take care of almost any small EDC task in a light weight package
That's a great point and combination, Rick! (But what about the Waiter instead??) :) I think I feel a new EDC combo video coming soon! Thanks for watching! Cheers!
I’m at a point of rebuilding my knife collection and the first one I’ve bought was a Cadet alox and it’s always with me. Swiss Army has always been a favorite knife since I got my first one as a kid and even though some of the knives I lost can’t ever be replaced, I’m more than happy revisiting the Swiss Army brand any time. Keep posting these awesome tools!
My solution to the problem was to carry a Swiss Champ when I was a kid and my car was always breaking down (in the sixties you could actually pull off a temporary fix for many problems on the side of the road). I continued to carry it through college but it was just too big for an urban desk job. I took stock of all the tools I used and never used; then found a knife with what I needed. For me, it was the Explorer (then the Plus) which I’ve been carrying for decades. The size doesn’t seem to bother me. Hell, I can drop it in the pocket of my sports coats. If you’re wondering why I needed the magnifying glass - I was the go to guy for peoples plant bugs and such. Today, I’m old enough to use it daily for fine print, lol. I also carry a AO blade only like a Kershaw Leek or a CRTK for fast cutting jobs like opening boxes. But I still feel your problem, that’s a way cool collection of SAKS you have there.
Tony Canniffe I always felt the SAK EP needed a wood saw and metal file. I was introduced to Tim Simco on the Facebook group SAKS Exclusively (I think that's his name) and he was at first going to add them to my explorer. Instead, I found new Swiss Champs on Amazon w/o pliers or plus scales (Tim has a channel here on youtube ) for $60 and he's going to take the scales and fish scaler off the champ and add black plus scales that he found on Ebay for $14. The result will be a Explorer Plus in black with plus scales. Scales arrived yesterday , knife should arrive tomorrow and then l ship it all to Tom.
I know what you mean about just standing in a stooper. It happens to me all the time. I love collecting knives and I initially became enamored with knives back in the late 80s. My first love was a Swiss army Victorinox Champ. I was 12, I gave it up after I sliced my hand with it while peeling an apple and watching a ninja move. I recently rediscovered Victorinox knives and am starting to collect them again. Great video! thanks for sharing.
That's funny... I do the same thing, standing over the shelf in my man-cave where most of my SAKs live, for several minutes trying to pick one for the day. These days, Ive been wishing I could carry em all, so since I carry a Leatherman wave, with those great pliers, I wind up carrying one of my Champions to cover all bases. If I'm not packing a Leatherman for some reason, I grab a Swisschamp and call it done. Great video, thanks for sharing!
This it literally me! Sometimes I’ll throw a few in my pockets to give me time to decide which to carry , then end up hauling them all around all day…while I sit at home not really needing any of them!
Rucksack is better than the Farmer. I also like the Alox Harvester more, because it doesn't have the key ring, that destroys the ergos while using the knife.
@@greekveteran2715 I was wondering what the Rucksack is, I looked on SAKwiki and see it's been superceded by the Forester, basically the Rucksack was the side-locking version of the Forester which is liner locking. So happy with my Soldier which is also the same but with a Phillips sd instead of corkscrew, it doesn't have toothpick and tweezers, but I love army issue stuff. I take the Soldier when I'm in the outdoors hiking and/or camping, otherwise it's illegal to EDC here in the UK due to the blade being locking and longer than 3in / 7.62cm. I EDC a Farmer or Hiker because I like the saw capability even though I hardly ever need it lol.
@@swissarmydan9354 Top combo, I EDC a Farmer on a suspension clip with keys, and the Classic SD in my coin pocket, primarily for the scissors which are very useful and effective even though they're small, but also I use that small blade a lot, for opening packages.
@@simonh6371 Rucksack is completely different knife! It has aluminium liners instead of steel the other 2 models have, also the blade is different and cuts much better than any other model I own. The Pioneer is my SAK of choice as a backup that's always in my backpack. I love the silver Alox look, it's very sleek, and it carries just the right amount of tools that I need, other than going in my toolbox. 💪💪
Great video Dan ... I purchased a Spartan lite to get the inline Phillips ... It's very cool, but do you think it performs that much better than the 3 mm on the can opener ... I've been thinking about the explorer just for another inline Phillips with a scissors but not sure it's worth it ... Thanks Pal 👍
I feel you. And I started to buy them up like crazy as well. And I ended up just carrying my oldest one, because I don`t wont to spoil the newer or rarer ones.
I've just gotten back into Swiss Army knife collecting. Though it'll be a while before I have much worry about which one to EDC, I have a Super Tinker that I've taken almost everywhere for many years.
Personally I carry a Climber for Urban EDC. Mainly because the can opener is also a Phillips screwdriver. The Compact is slimmer but does not have Phillips capability. I customized my Climber with the Compact Parcel Hook so I have a nail file.
Never been much into SAKs, didnt hate them just always passed them by. Started watching classic Macgyver a year or so back. Then slowly your channel and others. Months ago i bought my first 91 mm Spartan. Now I have probably 12- 91mm's, 10- 108mm GAK'S and Vic's and 4- 111 mm's. They are truly great knives, very addictive!
I'm torn between the Climber and Compact, but find myself missing the alox handles and 93mm awl, and the sturdiness of the 93mm's. Thanks for watching!
What’s your favourite EDC Dan? I have the Climber but if I’m going to the woods.....then I’ve got a Farmer. My Daughter has a Super Tinker. Great though aren’t they?
I feel your pain Brother ! I too suffer from Swiss Flu and its hard though most days for me its either a Huntsman or Farmer. Thanks for sharing. All the best from Scotland. Garry ps Zombies.
Have 7/8 of them use the same 3 most of the time, a Camper, an old style Victorinox German army knife and a Huntsman. The Campers EDC or day hikes, the GAK if there might be more wood carving involved and the Huntsman if I'm going further afield or staying in hotels, the scissors, tweezers and small pen blade are a great basic first aid combo and yes I occasionally use the corkscrew but not often for myself.
@@swissarmydan9354 Machines break all the time yet are easily repaired/replaced. It's a crappy excuse and one would think they would come to their senses and give people what they want.
@@knurled1 I’ve been using the suggestion part of the Victorinox website to make a case for this-if we all do it they may listen. Agree a 84 mm compact would be epic
I only have four in the rotation and I totally suffer from this. Thanks for making me feel normal. (S18, Explorer, Mechanic w/ white plus scales, and a two layer with a philips where the corkscrew would be in translucent ruby.)
In the city, I EDC a Midnite Manager (in a keychain) and some days, aditionally, I'll pocket a Compact. For camping, a Swisschamp in an SOS Survival kit or a 111 mm one hand Trekker.
I switch out my edc pocketknife every day. Keeps it more interesting and i get to use all of my knives. You feel pretty damn good with a victorinox in your pocket 🙂
I have put a lot effort in honing my collection of SAKS and to group them by color coding them with scales and lanyards so that it makes this decision a bit easier. I also like to ensure that I have some dedicated SAKS for specific tasks, like my food knives are only for eating or food prep depending on the situation and comprise of a 111mm OH Nomad or OH Sentinal or 84mm waiter - one of these are usually in the pouch of my lunch cooler. Then in my backpack for more utility it varies between either a Workchamp, Skipper, or Cybertool 34. In my pocket its more often the Passenger and Manager combo or Explorer and Rally. My light carry is a combo that fits in my wallet of a Bantam and SD Classic both in Alox with a Swisscard Lite. Climber and Compact also get some pocket time on occasion. At my desk in my drawer at home I always keep my Swisschamp and Minichamp. And for grooming in my bedside is my SwissGear Nail Clipper 580. Next I want to look into more Alox models, but seems like I might want to getting into modding them to get some custom combinations like a Pioneer X with electrician blade. Anyway thanks for the great vid, these are helpful in curating my own collection.
End all, almost be all the Swiss Champ. I been carrying my Swiss Champ for the past 2 months. Love it. Fits in my small change pocket on my pants. Even in my regular pants pocket it does not feel like its heavy or bulky. My gf carries the Huntsman in her purse. Gotta have at least short blade, reg blade, scissors, saw, awl, can opener, screwdriver....but extras like file, magnifying glass, pliers, is awesome. Magnifying glass is essential for people who have trouble reading small prints like cooking instructions and packages. Oh, and I have used the pen more than a few times. Came in handy.
My Wife gave me a stainless steel beaded necklace for my Birthday. I bought a Compact Alox and hang it on there. It's not only an accessory but it's there when I need it! 🤟
Normal daily hometown EDC the model Waiter. If I visit another town for a weekend the model Spartan. Since fewer wine bottles have corks might change that in the future to the Bantam for hometown EDC. For in suit and tie (happens very rare) that really flat alox scales two blade pen knife. For the outdoors I always have my Dutch Military issued model 'Pioneer" (it has that key ring) but it's build stronger and the tools have just a bit thicker spines, but could go with the civilian model Pioneer also, as my last resort knife. I need that key ring because it's attached with a lanyard to my pants. I usually also carry a Leatherman with the saw tool in it when outdoors. Been thinking about the Farmer for just day hikes in nature so I can leave the Leatherman.
In my backpack i carry a mini Champ and an Explorer Plus. And the one i carry in my pocket I choose bevore going to sleep I like to have 2 blades, the big one for food and the small for everthing else. I like 2 opening tools for a lot of different tasks. I prefer the grip on a 3 layer victorinox so i will pick the climber plus most of the time.
Hello, Swiss Army Dan! Nice video. I have my stupor moment in the evening, picking which Swiss Army knife I am going to carry the next day. I get up early, so no time to mess with it then. When I do make my selection, it is completely random. I have some that I will not carry ( too special; i.e. Deluxe Climber, Rangergrip 178, and so on ). Sometimes it’s a Climber, sometimes an Alox, sometimes a Wenger. It is rare that I am out of the house without either a Wenger or a Victorinox on me.
I have pared my ideal carry down to a Victorinox Super Tinker in my right front pocket and a Victorinox Rambler in my coin pocket. I actually prefer the Fieldmaster to the Super Tinker but the extra bulk of that fourth layer tips it for me.
I carry a Farmer on a small carabiner with keys, hanging off a belt loop, in by back right pocket, and a black Classic SD in my coin pocket, together with a small black Clipper lighter and a black Olight which is the same size. That way I get to carry a saw, and have the small scissors on my Classic which are good enough for most little jobs out and about. Actually I use the Classic blade the most, for opening packages etc. but I like to feel prepared with the Farmer's bigger beefier blade and saw.
Hilarious about the kidnapping scenario! I got over myself and got a Black Alox Cadet about 5 years ago. Used to carry all the tactical blades. I also have the huntsman, farmer, and a few other SAKs. Anyway, I put a Clipdraw gun clip on it...slid it in my pocket, and it's done about everything I've needed and can't see needing more (I know I'm different, but I never met a job for a scissors...that a knife couldn't do ok at...but if you need a knife, a scissors doesn't always work very well.) I did grind down the inside curve of the can opener (thank you Felix here on YT) and it's been an awesome box opener since - saving my main blade from the glue gunk. I like all your choices... it's cool to have them. I'm never without a Leatherman very far away either...so I suppose that helps. The pliers are awfully useful to me on a very regular basis.
Niceto see someone else that just appreciates quality. In a world of cheap, poor quality products Victoranox stands out. I love Swiss Army Knives. There a pleasure to own.
Decisions decisions! I feel your pain Bro ! It’s a healthy addiction though. Lots of interesting information. Thanks for sharing. All the best from Scotland. Garry
Deluxe Tinker for me for everyday. The pliers and scissors I use frequently but there is no ideal answer. I change what I have with me according to needs. For long distance travel the Swiss Champ covers all and at minimalist level the Manager.
I only edc a Swiss Champ that my mom gifted me a while away. My only other sak is a nail clip that I'm obviously not going to edc. Having my eyes on so many saks. Spartan, huntsman, compact, etc. But every time I make up my mind, my Swiss champ already has these tools and it just fits right in my watch pocket. Help me lol
Good video gotta have that saw so the Huntsman and sd for me I do a lot of yard work , but I love all of my SAKs. I have my eye on the Hercules and RangerWood some day soon I hope.
To many choices for me sir. I exclusively carry a tinker or tinker small. All the tools I regularly go to the tool box for 90% of the time. That many knives would give me anxiety like when you open Netflix and there’s a 1000 movies but only a couple gems.
Hey Swiss Army Dan Great video. For Urban EDC in 91mm you can't beat the Compact. In 84mm maybe a Sportsman (Very under rated) or a vintage Tinker Small with the file on the Phillips. 58mm go whole hog with a Midnight Mini Champ. I also work Wenger EVO 63 and Premier and a Vic Bantam into the rotation. To make up for the lack of scissors on most of the above, I have Ramblers stashed everywhere.
I have in fact opened a can of paint with my Spartan (big) screwdriver, when the can was new and then many times more every time I have opened it. It works well for that, with no noticeable damage to the tool/screwdriver/knife. That said you should probably be a bit careful as it is only an improvised prybar; work around the lid in circles to avoid damaging both tool and lid (so that the lid fits snuggly back on for storage of the leftover paint, and opens more easily next time). Be patient, go more circles as needed until you have a good place to move in to break the potential vacuum, and don't put too much leverage on the screwdriver. I hold it up close by the screwdriver and try to at least somewhat push on it and that end to keep the majority of pressure on that tool/end rather than the opposite end of the handle. If one follows this way of doing it I am sure it will most likely work for opening cans of paint that are hard to open for many years to come.
Hi, thanks for watching! I don't believe I understand your question. Do you mean the corkscrew , cap lifter and can opener? Or do you mean the extra bottle opener you get on some of the smaller knives like the Rambler?
I own about 30 of them and pick up a random model to carry every day. I prefer not to repeat a particular knife two days in a row in order to use the most variety possible. Obviously that the Farmer has a wood saw and most times I’m in the office all day but that’s alright.
I wish they would bring back the Yeoman, its basically a combination of the the Explorer and Compact. The Passenger (Explorer Minus the Scissors layer) is also a good EDC choice paired with a Manager
Pretty sure most people who watch vidz like this own several vics - they're lovely things. I have several in rotation and it's easy to choose which to carry.
I know what you mean. I don't have as many Swiss Army knives as you, but I collect all kinds of knives, and sometimes I just stand in front of my knife chest ( old six drawer Craftsman tool box from the 80s) filled with my knives, and I ponder about how much wasted time I have logged in just deciding what knife to carry...... I feel your pain bro :(
Thanks for watching again, mi amigo. Not much of a story, I just think they are cool. I've seen a BUNCH of these on eBay, not just the Tourist but Wengers and other Vic models as well, and I guess I just always wanted one. Cheers!
For my EDC purposes, the hundred and 11 mm line is a little too big. But it's whatever works for each individual. I know the trekker has a big fan base. Cheers, thanks for watching!
Therapy is an option so my wife says when I show her my latest purchase or modification. I have 3 favourites. The Climber, the Explorer and the Spartan (red, black or camo).....and then there's the Huntsman and the Alox Farmer or even the Hiker, not to mention the Ranger. It is nice to know I'm not alone in my suffering. Is there a name for this illness?
Simon Feeney picked up a Tinker a little while back, basically a Spartan with a phillips head screwdriver instead of a corkscrew, can’t believe how much I use it! A great edc. Picked up a Signature today (Classic SD + pen). I really wanted a Manager or an alox Rambler but they ship don’t here to New Zealand. Oh no, this is turning into an addiction!
Hey, if I have a Sheffield "swiss army knife ", but it is not made by Victorinox and i don't know if it is considered a swiss army knife if it only had been designed like an actual swiss army knife. can I have you input please, by the way, i LOVE you videos
Hi DGP, Sorry, I just saw your comment. If it's not made by Victorinox or Wenger, many will agree it's not a true "Swiss Army Knife" These knives that are similar to SAKs are often called "Swiss Army Style Knives". Thank you for watching!!! Cheers!
And the Rolling Stones??? jijijijiji love all SAK´s, my suggestion is do as I do get 7 out of them, and assigned one per each day of the week, that way you might avoid a little bit of complication when trying to make your mind. jijiji At least that´s what I do, otherwise I think I´ll go crazy, jajaja. Great Vid. buddy. cheers.
hahaha, I've already gone crazy, can't you tell? :) Thanks for the suggestion! I will probably try doing that eventually. Thanks for returning, my friend. Cheers!
One more point I'd like to add is, I think if its three layers or less, it still feels like a Knife with extra tools. Four layers or more feels a little heavy and is more like a multitool with a knife included. I think I prefer it to feel like a knife + extra. Even a two layer SAK can handle way more tasks than any Spyderco or Cold Steel you might EDC. Even with just a Spartan/Camper you can Slice, saw, poke, prod, scrape, screw, pierce, pry and pick better than any basic folder on the market.
"what if I get kidnapped and thrown in a box" my thought process exactly😂
Too much Macgyver on the brain

I feel your pain Brother ! I too suffer from Swiss Flu and its hard though most days for me its either a Huntsman or Farmer. Thanks for sharing. All the best from Scotland. Garry ps Zombies.
Absolutely got you I am in the same dilemma everyday! Huntsman+ , Handyman , Camper+ , Compact , Pioneer x and so on
nice video as always !
Put the manager on your keychain and then a Spartan is all you need to cover almost all the bases and remain lightweight. Thanks for the vid!
Cool music! All beautiful knives..... like, like, like!!!
Thank you for returning, my friend!
They should have made compact in 84mm, not 91. For its idea of a supercompact knife with functioning blade and scissors it would made a lot more sense
I agree, the 84mm Golfer is a favorite. Unfortunately they no longer make the 84mm scissors due to machine breaking. Thanks for watching! Cheers!
Man, you’re right! The 91mm knives are so much bulkier. 84mm 3-layer would be perfect.
🤣🤣🤣🤣"thanks for making me feel normal " 😅😅😅😅
Got a soldier swiss army knife on boxing day..nice blade, great knife.
Thanks for watching! I like switching it up too! Cheers!
I like my Tinker--between a Tinker and an Opinel 10 or 12, the vast majority of my daily carry needs are covered
An Opinel #8 is one of the few non-Swiss knives I own... and of course , a Tinker is an excellent edc. Thanks for watching! Cheers!
Dude i have the same problem 😂 hard to choose! Pioneer or huntsman is usually what i end up picking
me to. and an extra little one :-)
My Wife gave me a stainless steel beaded necklace for my Birthday. I bought a Compact Alox and hang it on there. It's not only an accessory but it's there when I need it! 🤟
Thanks for watching! Cool necklace! Cheers!
Really want to do this but my wife already thinks I’m weird enough!
@@Watcheswhileeating Do it! I get many compliments on it
Normal daily hometown EDC the model Waiter.
I've been wanting an edc Victorinox for a while. I get to work and think about how much I wish I had a multitool
You're missing the obvious solution! Make yourself a bandoleer like Chewbacca, and wear them all.
I really like a serrated blade, so I picked up the Wenger Serrated Backpacker. It offers a bunch of options for cutting stuff :)
Billy Blazer - Yep, just ask WeAllJuggleKnives
Hilarious about the kidnapping scenario! I got over myself and got a Black Alox Cadet about 5 years ago. Used to carry all the tactical blades. I also have the huntsman, farmer, and a few other SAKs.
Anyway, I put a Clipdraw gun clip on it...slid it in my pocket, and it's done about everything I've needed and can't see needing more (I know I'm different, but I never met a job for a scissors...that a knife couldn't do ok at...but if you need a knife, a scissors doesn't always work very well.)
I did grind down the inside curve of the can opener (thank you Felix here on YT) and it's been an awesome box opener since - saving my main blade from the glue gunk.
I like all your choices... it's cool to have them. I'm never without a Leatherman very far away either...so I suppose that helps. The pliers are awfully useful to me on a very regular basis.
The Manager! - It must be the best for us office and city people =) Maybe a Cadet if you need a bigger blade and no scissors
Niceto see someone else that just appreciates quality. In a world of cheap, poor quality products Victoranox stands out. I love Swiss Army Knives. There a pleasure to own.
Yep!
Decisions decisions! I feel your pain Bro ! It’s a healthy addiction though. Lots of interesting information. Thanks for sharing. All the best from Scotland. Garry
Hahaha! Thanks for watching, Garry! Have you checked out the Swiss Army Knights forum? Cheers!
Swiss Army Dan no but I will now ! Thanks. Peace Bro.
Deluxe Tinker for me for everyday. The pliers and scissors I use frequently but there is no ideal answer. I change what I have with me according to needs. For long distance travel the Swiss Champ covers all and at minimalist level the Manager.
Lol I love the champ, if you can deal with the extra well.. everything... youll have just about everything you need
I'd love to see your woodworking man!
It's really NOT impressive. :) Mostly just make SAK displays lol
Help me lol
Help you?? Sounds like you have it under pretty good control. How about you help those of us with 20+ already and 2 in the shopping cart!
Good video gotta have that saw so the Huntsman and sd for me I do a lot of yard work , but I love all of my SAKs. I have my eye on the Hercules and RangerWood some day soon I hope.
Hey man! Don't feel Bad about your McGyver knife fixation! I'm much the same way...
HAHA! Yeah, it's a definitely a guilty pleasure. Thanks for watching!
I know that first world problem and i came up with one week rotation. ✌😊
To many choices for me sir. I exclusively carry a tinker or tinker small. All the tools I regularly go to the tool box for 90% of the time. That many knives would give me anxiety like when you open Netflix and there’s a 1000 movies but only a couple gems.
Hey Swiss Army Dan
Great video.
Great video!
Im slightly confused as to why youd want two bottle openers?Forgive me if im incorrect.
Hi, thanks for watching! I don't believe I understand your question. Do you mean the corkscrew , cap lifter and can opener? Or do you mean the extra bottle opener you get on some of the smaller knives like the Rambler?
Swiss Army Dan Hi,Sorry i just looked at the field officer online and found out it was a tin opener. Thanks for replying anyways.
I have some of the smaller knifes but when you need to use the knife the 111just sims to feel better in hand. But I do like your videos
I own about 30 of them and pick up a random model to carry every day. I prefer not to repeat a particular knife two days in a row in order to use the most variety possible. Obviously that the Farmer has a wood saw and most times I’m in the office all day but that’s alright.
😊 I can relate. I carry the handyman, and all is well .
Now for edc Explorer, Compact or Executive, keychain always alox MiniChamp.
I wish they would bring back the Yeoman, its basically a combination of the the Explorer and Compact. The Passenger (Explorer Minus the Scissors layer) is also a good EDC choice paired with a Manager
Super Tinker is my everyday carry.
I feel your pain bro :(
So what's the story behind the Swissair SAK? :D
Thanks for watching again, mi amigo. Not much of a story, I just think they are cool. I've seen a BUNCH of these on eBay, not just the Tourist but Wengers and other Vic models as well, and I guess I just always wanted one. Cheers!
swiss army dan cracking more jams. cool video and a good dilemma choosing one. cheers buddy 🍺 :
hahaha, hey do you still want that Ruti Tourist? I don't want to keep it hostage from you. :)
I keep a custom slim waiter in my wallet, and a wenger pocket grip on my keychain. Still missing scissors.
Hard choice have a few SAK which one to carry.
remember to cover yourself with an old mattress when using explo. to get out of that box. i wish they did a welder knife!
I'm in forestry and farming and I rely on the Ranger daily.
Dan you never a review on the 111 trekker knifes. Do you think they are to big for EDC
For my EDC purposes, the hundred and 11 mm line is a little too big. But it's whatever works for each individual. I know the trekker has a big fan base. Cheers, thanks for watching!
Do you have a 580 with fingernail clippers
I wish they'd put the hook with the file from the Compact on the Climber and Explorer.
Definitely! I want the hook with the file on a Yeoman!!! :) Thanks for watching! Cheers!
I've somehow managed to go all my Swiss Army days without an Explorer😳
Therapy is an option so my wife says when I show her my latest purchase or modification. I have 3 favourites. The Climber, the Explorer and the Spartan (red, black or camo).....and then there's the Huntsman and the Alox Farmer or even the Hiker, not to mention the Ranger. It is nice to know I'm not alone in my suffering. Is there a name for this illness?
We should all come together and form a help group because we all have Swiss army fever lol
Kyle C .... and what?!.. HELP each other purchase more?! 😁
Easy for me. I'll just take my Sportsman! I only own a Sportsman. So far...
Bushcraft North of 60 - I only owned a Hiker for about two years.
A Sportsman is a great carry, and really awl you need. :) I'm just weird. lol
The Hiker, definitely a great SAK!
Compact fanboy here, I am goin to try carrying a Spartan , I hear good things . .
I like a tinker in my pocket, and a classic SD on my keychain. I change up the classic based on the holiday or season or whatever.
Cheers!
I carry the Compact at work in my khakis because it's not as thick. I carry the Mountaineer in my jeans pockets when I'm not at work.
Was using the can opener to peel an 🍊 but realized the small blade causes less juice mist spray
Cheers!
I have a serrated Spartan that I EDC a lot.
I mean, why wouldn't you? But seriously, having the serrated large blade with the small blade to back it up is money. Thanks for watching!
Excellent Points, NTB! I agree, and feel pretty much the same way but I usually lean towards the Climber over the Camper for three layer. Cheers!
Swiss Army Dan yeah the climber is excellent, so is the Compact 2 layer model. Nothing wrong with the climber, a near perfect urban EDC
I can't leave without my minichamp
yeah, it hard to decide
