Marr we all know he's the greatest. Listen to Mike Joyce's drumming superb. Then Moz he had coolness no one did in those days.

    'I am a living sign'. I feel this is the eye of the duck in the body of Morrissey's lyrics. His sheer joy and freedom and his heart touching idiosyncratic movements as he sings, pulling the jacket away from his body as though he is molting just lights me up. Molting is a difficult process not every creature can survive but Morrissey does it time and time again......his vulnerability is his strength. The combination of being a sign and a human individual at the same time is paradoxically sublime. A perfect way to start the day.

Vim under the sink, two bars on the fire etc etc. If the young kids want to sit in a circle at my feet I shall regale them with magic stories of shows at Manchester Palace and Salford University...

    • @terrybo8
      @terrybo8 Před 9 lety +1

      Wolfington Yes. it does. I'm heart broken that the tickets we have for Morrissey's U.S.Washington, D.C. area tour date for 2014 became souvenirs after getting a call from the venue just a few hours before the show telling us the remaining tour dates had been cancelled due to Morrissey's poor health. I was distraught as I hadn't seen Morrissey solo since the late 80's-early 90's & I needed my fix man! In an effort to cheer myself up I put on Bona Drag, then got upset again cause it reminded me of the cancelled show. I was stuck in a love/hate Morrissey Catch 22 Aghhhhh! Getting old sucks big hairy donkey ballz. I don't recommend it. .

We met Andy's mother at the stage door & she got them to sign our poster though not Morrissey as he had already gone? Someone signed his name on it anyway. She was lovely as we obviously didn't know who she was, she approached my sister.

    i had tickets to this concert in 1986 to take my boyfriend, really the one i loved most in my life, but was grounded for stupid reasons. my mother was so abusive, irrational jealous, alcoholic with low iq, and would pick fights, bait me and when I opened my "bigmouth" she would ground me. she smiled in spite about my not going. my mother is ironically one of the reasons i appreciate this band, their lyrics, their dark humor and irony so very much! i knew in my heart it would be the only concert, the only opportunity. i got to see morrissey in france in 1992, beautiful voice, but just not the same... they might have sounded like this... brilliant!
