  • Caesars Palace one of the most iconic Las Vegas strip hotels has been adding to it's profile since it's 1966 opening. In 1997 the Palace tower was built along with an all new Roman garden pool area. We were there with 3 time-lapse cameras covering the construction. Cool stuff. The largest concrete pour in history at the time, done at night because it was August in the desert. And as a bonus you get to see the Rio Hotel being built in the background in some views. I just took a walk through Caeser’s Palace earlier today and it’s freakin huge! Super easy to get lost in. But very impressive

Seeing the Rio Masquerade Village, a hotel tower and casino expansion going up in the back was awesome as well!

When it was the place to be, so sad to see it in its current state. I stayed in the Masquerade tower a few years ago for a convention...depressing.

This marked the beginning of Neo-Roman Architecture at Caesars, before it was a 1960's modernist take on Roman architecture. A great improvement from before.

Thank you. My favorite part of editing these videos is finding the right music. You seldom have the budget to really get what you want;-)

Thanks to this video, I can now see very clearly the very spot, or should I say the parking lot, where they held WrestleMania IX back in April 1993.

No, it took 12. We had to edit it down because of people's attention span without popcorn;-)

This was great! Loved to watch it. Would really love to see the building of The Forum Shops and wasn’t Omnimax at Caesar’s? And didn’t they have to alter the front for Evel Knievel?

The time-lapse was shot over a year and a half in 1997-98. The video was not edited until 1999 and was only posted on CZcams a few years ago. You can check out our other time-lapse construction projects here:

This is a stunning project but it doesn't look like a real palace. The temple aren't generally in this white color range, the temple are not as this highest, The columns does not seems linked to roman architecture. If the beam wouldn't be present, I probably wouldn't identify this building as a roman temple.

Really Andreo, thats what you got from this video? It is unfortunate that your view doesn't allow you to see what this project represents. Still standing today as an Icon of architecture on the Vegas strip. Wow!
