I need to be able to update 'text' in MTEXT, not numbers. And I need to be able to do it from a table linked to an Excel sheet. Text only shows up as ####. I need to be able to do this with non-numeric characters.

Thanks for the video, this could be handy. For the Date in the Drawing Border I think it would be better to use CreateDate? If you use Date (as in your example) would this change to the current date whenever you work on it?

Same question here. I'm assuming it does. If so, I have mixed feelings. If you've made revisions and logged those revisions on the drawing in a revision box, your latest revision date may not match the drawing date, if say, you forgot a dimension and opened the drawing the next day to add it. Then you would have to manually change the date, back to the previous day.

Do you know the insert field to count the layout sheets in a set of
drawings? Lets say you have 20 pages in total and in your title block
you have X1 of X2 total pages. What system variable can you use for X1
to give you the current sheet number and X2 for the total amount of
    pages? Thanks for the help!

You could label the sheet name 1, 2, 3... and then reference that sheet name on the field. I really don't use it that much because my sheets all have unique names and numbering. But that's the only way to somewhat make it automatic. So for the xx of yy, the xx field would reference the sheet name and yy could just be static.

you might be able to use the data extraction command for that.

I'm using a few viewport with different orientations. Some of my text go vertically, some horizontally and some diagonally. The thing is that I don't what to change the drawing orientation, but i would like to see all text going horizontally on all my viewports. How to I do this? I appreciate your answer.
